The house and surroundings are very well taken care of. Our group of 5 fisherman had a comfortable stay and enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the evenings. Hope to return soon to the area and stay at your Riverside Memory-Maker soon.
This was perfect for our family of 6 and another couple. The little cabin was cute and cozy, while the main house was big enough for everyone. It was tucked away, while still being close to lots of activities. Highly recommended!
We had a very easy check in process. The house was clean and well stocked. Lots of extra kitchen needs like baggies and tinfoil etc. we really enjoyed the deck and the fire pit.
Overall, love this place this was a second year in a row staying here for Memorial day weekend Big rig races in Onaway, absolutely love staying here, it feels like home when you walk in the door, Wendy is a great host and the houses if full of the essentials, my friends and I spent alot of time on the back deck and around the fire pit!
We loved everything about the place. The owners very responsive to any questions we had. Very secluded, nice swim area in the river, and the whole house setup was beautiful! Honestly didn't want to leave! Will book this again in the future!
What an absolutely beautiful house to stay at! Had full access to the garage which was very nice and what a beautiful back yard to sit down with friends at the end of the day to have some good laughs and a bonfire in. Would recommend this house to anyone traveling to Michigan!
A wonderful house! The cabin was great too. A really authentic "up north" feel. Loved the kayaks with the river right there. Comfy beds, wonderful tub, good wifi, and a marvelous deck. Would definitely recommend!
Very tranquil on the river, quiet and relatively bug free somehow! Great to have a riverside setting to chill, nice deck and grill to use. Kayaks were a hit, especially with the use of the trailer to put in upriver. WiFi was strong and kitchen was well stocked. Comfy beds and the little cabin was a great bonus to have.
We had a great time in Northern Michigan and this VRBO exceeded expectations!! Although the dishwasher was not working (it will be replaced soon) this house checked every box for comfort/views! We WILL be back!!!

Our group of high school friends had the most amazing time at this property! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook & never leave the house! There is so much seating that we never felt like we weren't all together. We took advantage of the 4 kayaks w/ trailer, the fire pit, as well as the board games. This was one of the only VRBO properties we have stayed at that felt like items were purchased FOR the home, not pieced together from what the owners had leftover from their primary home. We have discussed renting again in the future! Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful property!
This was a perfect location for Labor Day Weekend. The kids had fun kayaking on the river. While it would have been nice if there were enough kayaks for 8 people, we filled our days with excursions to nearby locations. The fire pit was nice and large and we enjoyed bonfires each evening. Would definitely stay again in the future. Thanks for being responsive, Wendy was a great host!
We had an extended family group staying at the house and also used the small cabin for 3 nights. The house had everything we needed for cooking, roasting marshmallows and looking for shooting stars. It was a convenient place to end one short kayak trip and as a jumping off point for another. We made all our meals on site and found the kitchen spacious and well appointed. We visited Alpena, the Presque Isle lighthouses, Long Lake, and Sault Ste Marie for our lake freighter fans. Great place for a vacation!
Love at first sight! This property is fun! Thank you, Wendy, for supplying kayaks for our family. The trips down the river were fabulous. Burt Lake and Onaway State parks, golf, Mackinac Island, Ocqueoc Falls and ATV riding were just some of the day trips we enjoyed. Lots to enjoy at this property and beyond.
Very spacious and immaculate house with beautiful picture window view of river to enjoy to start our days. Thank you for sharing your comfortable home with our family.
Had a great time for the long weekend. Really nice, spacious well kept home. Good communication with the owner, no issues there. relaxing sitting next to the river. Used kayaks and tubed down river, lots of fun. The second home/cottage was some extra sleeping space, nothing more. Only real issues was the large puddle that formed between the house and the river due to the heavy rains. A larger foot bridge would fix that issue. Would stay again.
