Proximity to restaurants and shops was excellent. The house was cozy and we 3 grandmothers felt right at home. The hostess, Kim was very accommodating and easily available.
We loved staying at this house. A short drive to everywhere we need to be. It was perfect for a girls weekend. The house is updated and very clean. We are looking forward to staying here again!
We had a great time in a welcoming home. The home was clean, in a great location and the owners were great. We loved Cape May and can’t wait to go back.
I stayed here with my husband and our twin toddlers. The house was very family friendly with two twin beds for the boys, some toys and a high chair available, and not much they could get into. Everything seems to be recently renovated and clean.
Nicely remodeled and well maintained house in a nice quiet neighborhood. Owners are very easy to work with and proactively addressed any issues. Easy walk to the beach and into town. Great for families.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Clean, comfortable; Ron was prompt in answering our questions. House was bright and airy. Beach was a close walk, neighborhood very peaceful. We would definitely stay again!
My Husband and I met our Son , Daughter in-law and Granddaughter at the Verbo. It was very nice and a perfect location to enjoy Cape May. It was in a beautiful neighborhood and near many attractions like the Lobster House, Wale watching tour and the Wildwood boardwalk. The house was very comfortable & clean. Would have another family vacation there again.
Nice, well-equipped home. Good outdoor shower, and sufficient beach gear. Good to have use of washer and dryer. Bathrooms and bedrooms suited our needs. Nice TV service. Only two down-sides: third bedroom is small; several blocks walk to beach, but easy enough to drive sometimes.
We enjoyed our stay and the location was easy walking distance to all Cape May has to offer. The home was as described. The kitchen had the basics, but we’ve stayed in other rentals that were better equipped for cooking (things like a tablespoon measuring utensil, a vegetable peeler) - so that would be my recommendation to the owners, or to future renters who plan to do a bunch of cooking!
This is the first time I have used home away to book a house in cape may. the process was easy and the owners of the rental were great with communication. Everything was what I expected it to be. If there was one thing I could recommend, the queen bed in the one room was very noisy and creaky to sleep on. Other than that it was a great stay!!!
Small but well-equipped. Included 2 beach tags (savings of $40), beach chairs, boogie boards (why are they called boogie boards? :) Everything you need for the kitchen. Great week!
We appreciated getting the front door code a little bit in advance unlike some who give it the day before so you are worried. It was easy to get in. The house was clean and had most anything you would need. My husband loves cooking the gas grill so we used that a lot. Great idea about the spare key! It was nice we had the owners contact info in case of a problem. Overall, everything was great. Thanks!!
We came from CA for a coast Guard graduation. Location was perfect! House was really clean and perfect size! Neighborhood was quiet and so beautiful! Downsides: having to pack sheets and towels. Is this jr. high camp? Takes up too much room in suitcases. Arrived late at night after a full day of travel. The LAST thing we felt like doing was making up 3 beds. Oh, and coffee would’ve been nice!
Nice place to unpack and relax. Plenty of just about everything you need to stay for a vacation, dishware, pots and pans, couple of tv's with xfinity, air conditioner and heat (one night it got down to 58 degrees. When we had a problem Ron came over and fixed the problem same day. Has creaky floors in the 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms with plenty of water pressure. Nice place to stay and away from the crowd.
Wonderful week in cape may. The house was in perfect location and very accommodating for our group of 6.

About the host
Hosted by Ron and Kim Tupper
Ron & Kim Tupper bought their first Cape May house in 2000, and have since bought and renovated 10 more homes here in Cape May. Married more than 30 years, we and our two kids spend nearly every weekend of the year in Cape May, our favorite beach town! Our weekends in the off-season find us busy renovating, building, and putting our personal touches on every one of our properties so they are welcoming for every one of our tenants. Each weekend in the summer, we personally check on all of our properties between rentals, take care of the lawns, meet our new guests for the week, and make sure our tenants are all comfortable before we head to the beach for some sun and fun!
Kim grew up coming to Cape May for a week each summer, and then when we moved to Pennsylvania, we found ourselves in Cape May for a weekend each summer while we performed with the Chester County Concert Band (before we had kids of course!) We knew we wanted another place to call home, and Cape May was an easy decision.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home in 2007 as it fit our model perfectly - it was close, had a great yard, and was in need of renovation!
