Venice Island

Tariq was an excellent host. Home is well equipped with whatever you may need. Any issues were handled right away by Tariq. The home location is fantastic as is the neighborhood- just a few short blocks to Venice Beach. It’s an older home so it could use some updating and a lanai would be nice to sit under outside during the afternoon showers, but overall this was very good.

Great Location

My wife and I like to walk. From this location, one can walk downtown, to the beach, to the jetty and through beautiful, quiet neighborhoods. We stayed here in November of 2016. Our dogs loved the large fenced in yard. Owners were responsive to our needs and neighbors were cordial. The newly remodeled kitchen was nice since we both love to cook. One negative for us was that most of the windows do not open and we like fresh air. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend the property.

Our month in Venice Beach

Our vacation in Venice Beach was great! Sarasota County offers a great vacation area. The house was in a very desirable area. If you like to walk you could walk to beaches, downtown area and the neighborhood was a great walk. The people were most friendly. The restaurants all good and so many to choose from. The house had plenty of room and equipped w/almost anything u might need. The house itself was very old (the kitchen had been updated). The bathrooms left something to be desired!! The yard, front and back was not kept up well at all.

Paradise

It was a pleasurable stay for us at his house . He made sure we were comfortable and everything was clean. We also had some fresh bananas off his tree in the back. That was definitely a treat . His house is in the perfect location on Venice and a very safe and Luxurious neighborhood.

fantastic location! nice old Florida home

I had a really lovely stay with Tariq. The property is an old Florida mid-century ranch, in more or less original condition. It was clean and I and my guests were all very comfortable. I was mostly on my own and working which was very feasible in this house. My sister and boyfriend visited with younger children and also enjoyed the place. We walked to downtown Venice for croissants and ice cream. I ran to the beach in the afternoon for a quick plunge on the days that I had to work. (Imagine that after 4 hours of Zoom! A taste of heaven.) For a longer stroll, I took my puppy up to the Jetty and had coffee at Jetty Jacks. The neighborhood is mostly retired couples, and everyone was very kind and happy to see children and puppies!

Great location in a wonderful town

This is a great property located very conveniently in Venice...a 15-20 minute walk to downtown and 25 minute walk to the beach. Home was clean and owner very responsive. Nice living area. Somewhat dated bathroom areas with a couple of glitches, but resolved quickly by the owner. Friendly and responsive owner. Reasonably priced for the location.

Excellent location

My wife and I along with Alvin, our dog, stayed here for about 3 weeks in April 2015. The house is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. The owners were very cordial and friendly and checked with us to see if everything was OK. I met several of the neighbors while walking our dog and they all were very friendly. The house is just a short walk into Venice’s lovely and quaint downtown. Venice beach was just a short drive or moderate walk away. The house could use some updating, but was comfortable, and we had no problems with the home's mechanics. The home is in a terrific location. Alvin enjoyed running in the spacious back yard, but the yard could use a better defined area for sitting. We love Venice and plan to visit again.

Nice, safe location and amenable to pet owners.

We stayed at this home for 6 months as we searched for a home to buy in the area. We loved the location, very close to downtown Venice and a reasonable walk to the beach. There is a great local dog beach not far away we took our dogs to quite often. The neighbors are absolutely wonderful people and it is an extremely safe area. We felt at home immediately and were welcomed by all, often meeting new people on our walks. A great Farmers Market on Saturdays just blocks away where you can purchase great fresh produce,fish,meats,pastries etc. Epiphany Church also within walking distance and its facilities are beautiful. TJ was great and promptly addressed any concerns we had. Large back yard with fence great for dogs which is very hard to find. An excellent choice if you are planning an extended stay.

A nice house in a great location.

Enjoyed my month in this house. T. J. was available for any questions or concerns I had. The house is in a very nice quiet neighborhood. Nice big backyard that my Yorkie enjoyed. Close to lots of beaches, some just a few blocks away. Very close to downtown Venice Island and easy access to 41 which takes you up or down the gulf coast. I would stay again but hope to relocate to Venice very soon. T. J. was fine with my having guests, was mainly there by myself but had my children and a niece and her kids visit. I feel house is a great summer time value.

Great first experience with VRBO in Venice Beach

This house is in a great location...within walking distance to beach and town. The walking area in this location is safe and very scenic. The house is spacious and has a large fenced in back yard which is great for pets. The house was clean, and the pictures on VRBO accurately reflected the property's appearance and amenities. There was a large screen tv in the living room and another smaller tv in the bedroom. The owner was helpful and very friendly, as were the neighbors. We felt at home and plan to return to Venice as the result of this very positive experience.

We LOVED this house :)))))

We rented this house for 3 weeks, and as usual I was nervous as we were arriving at a new place, as you do not always get what the ad states, and the place doesn't always look like the pictures posted. We were in for a very pleasant surprise! Everything was exactly like the pictures, and spotless. The fenced in back yard was a dream for our Schnauzers. Even had a bunny visit us every day! Very close to the beach and downtown. The 'Doggie Beach' and Sharkys and the pier was only a short 5 minute drive. We are definitely going to rent this home again next year. I use the word 'home' because that is what it felt like, our home. The owners couldn't have been more helpful we required a few little things. Thanks for allowing us to rent your home :)))

Loved it!

This was such a comfortable home and the location could not have been better: a beautiful neighborhood and an easy walk to the beach or into town. Everything was immaculate and we loved picking fresh grapefruit everyday! The owners were both so friendly and very helpful as we settled in. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for the convenience of being so close to activities but still in a quiet, relaxed setting. Venice shops were lovely, Venice Beach was beautiful and The Crow's Nest won our vote for the best dining experience! Would we go back to this home again? You bet!
