About this property
Charming Craftsman house with 2nd floor apt. in the Alberta Arts district.
Your 950 sq foot private apt comes with all the amenities from full kitchen to washer/dryer on same floor. Cozy and comfortable, you look out the living room windows to a large oak tree and bikes riding past on a bike lane street. The sofa makes into a bed for extra guests. Great light floods the large, full kitchen. Large bathroom with 2 windows, shower in a tub with high ceilings and lots of light. The bedroom is large with large closets and high ceilings. You'll enter through the front door of an 1911 craftsman house with a large porch for sitting outdoors.
THE SPACE INCLUDES
- a front porch with two teak chairs and small table for outdoor sitting. You will be the only ones using the porch. I use the back yard with my own entrance.
- music-inspired artwork fills the living space with a sofa that folds down for another bed option. A large TV and a mid-century modern wood desk.
- a lovely sun-lit kitchen with a table and 4 chairs, a bar cart and a couple of bar stools. The appliances include a range, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and a full size washer and dryer.
- a very large and well sun-lit bathroom with a tub/shower and sink.
- a bedroom with a very comfortable queen memory-foam bed. A dresser and a chair.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The Alberta Arts District has some of Portland's best restaurants, bakeries, boutique shops and festivals. Alberta Street is three blocks away for easy access to everything. To mention a few, Petite Provence to indulge in fresh pastries; Salt and Straw for the most unique ice creams; many boutique shops, foot wear shops, art galleries, and a coffee shop on every corner. On the corner of 30th and Killingsworth is a network of great restaurants! If you are here on the last Thursday of the month in the summer, Alberta street shuts out car traffic and vendors with jewelry, pottery, artworks, food carts, dancers and street musicians fill the street for the festive 'Last Thursday'. Every Sunday from May to November, one block away is a farmers market between 10am to 2pm with music, local foods and seafood.
OR, go west to the trendy Williams District which has many more restaurants, boutique shops and bars.
GETTING AROUND
The house is on a corner lot and there is plenty of street parking.
I you don't have a car, you can walk, bike or take the bus.
BIKE
The house is on a bike street and our city bikes are called "Biketwon". The closest bike station is 2 1/2 blocks away and there are plenty more across the city.
BUS
There are three bus stops
- Line-6 is 4 1/2 blocks away which that takes you down-town and the MAX line which goes to the airport.
- Line-15 has a stop 7 blocks away which takes you through Belmont neighborhood and to the Pearl District.
- Line-72 is 3 blocks away and it takes you to North Portland or the other direction to Clackamas Town Center.
*NOTE - for long stays, the immediate amenities such as coffee and laundry or dish soap is limited to a week’s supply.

Greetings!
I am an artist and love living in Portland Oregon! I invite you to stay in my upstairs apartment three blocks from Alberta Street. Also, every Sunday enjoy the Farmer's Market two blocks from my house! There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and boutique shopping on Alberta Street as well as the new trendy Williams District only 10 blocks from my house.
