Excellent location

Overall it was a great property. Had some issues with the AC while we were there but the property managers were quick to respond and resolve the issues. Property was well stocked with essentials and we thoroughly enjoyed the umbrella and chairs that were provided for beach days.

It’s a very nice place! We would suggest blinds in the living room as it gets intense with the sun. Also don’t clean the interior of the refrigerator with Fabuloso. We had a wonderful stay!!!

Incredible views and location

This second story unit is right on top of the bluff just a two minute walk east of Poipu Beach. The waves come in non stop at this location and provide a breathtaking view as they smash against the rocks and splash up into the air. You can see Poipu Beach, several other beaches and the Spouting Horn from the deck as well as stunning Kauai sunsets. The beds were comfortable and the AC units worked perfectly. The insulation is great and we never heard any noise from adjacent units. We were very happy with this unit other than the non functioning screen door from the living room to the deck.

Paradise

Amazing week in Kauai with our home base in Poipu. Favorite aspect of rental is view and sound of waves just below our balcony. Sea turtles everywhere in view, both from pool (which we loved) and condo. Place was spacious enough for my husband, two teenage children and myself. Everything needed for beach (towels/chairs/cooler) provided. We will be back!

Thanksgiving in Poipu

My wife, two daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were some nice welcome gifts waiting for us when we arrived which set the tone. I could have sat on the balcony watching the waves crash just below us for the whole week it was so beautiful. The location was great with a short walk to Brennecke's and Poipu beaches. It's a nice little complex with a beautiful oceanfront pool. The unit itself was a little small - the second bedroom was fine for my two college aged daughters but might be cramped for some adults. I'd definitely consider staying there again.

Fantastic location, amazing view, 4.5 star place

Came here with our 8 year old and the location was stellar. You can walk to Brennecke or Poipu beach, and shops are just a short drive away. Property manager was very responsive - delivered us a beach chair early the next day when we discovered one of the ones they provided was broken. The condo is well stocked although it could use a few more big plates. The space was clean and mostly updated. Guest shower tub could use an update, but nothing egregious. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

Location can’t be beat

We like Poipu Shores. Saw a group of about 70 spinner dolphins from the lanai. Glad that oil, vinegar and spices were available in the kitchen. The kitchen needs a few more cereal bowls (there were only three), but is otherwise well-stocked. AC, fans, lights and showers all worked well. Liked the system of getting into the condo with a code rather than a key.

Poipu is magic

This place was overall very nice, but the back bedroom is exposed to night-time A/C noise and light from the hallway. A heavy blind could work wonders. Other than that, we are completely satisfied with our stay and would be very happy to visit again. Thanks to all for maintaining such a nice property!

Honeymoon Stay

This property was nice, but the parking situation was less than ideal—spots were small and limited. The location was fantastic; we saw numerous turtles from the lanai and at the pool, and we even spotted one on Poipu Beach! However, the room could have been cleaner; there were some cobwebs, and the windows were quite dirty. The photos suggest a clear view, but the dirty glass really dampened the experience. Additionally, the lower chairs on the lanai made it difficult to enjoy the view, as we were mostly looking at the bar or the grimy glass. Despite these issues, we did enjoy our stay overall.

Unit A206 was awesome. Our own spouting horn right outside patio. View was unbelievable. Clean Only negative would be the parking. We had a handicap tag and times there were no spaces(only 3) and they were to narrow to park and get out of car. If you park outside the lines so all can access the car they will give you a warning on windshield. Plan on returning to same facility asap Mahalo

Poipu Shores gem

This unit was stocked with everything we needed from kitchen to bath to the beach. The management company helped with arranging groceries before we arrived and reserving a boat tour. The condo was within walking distance to Poipu beach and closeby restaurants. We loved hearing and watching the crashing ocean waves right from our balcony and so convenient for sunset. The only downside was the warm temperature of the second bedroom. You need to leave the doors open and the A/C turned down in the common area for cool air to circulate into that bedroom. There was a ceiling fan and floor fan that really helped. Overall a fabulous vacation!

Paradise found

We have stayed at Poipu. shores 2 times before this visit. In building B. Little did we know of the gem A building is west of unit 5. OMG the sunsets were phenomenal. Never had to leave our lanai. The waves beating against the rocks were better than any sound machine. The turtles, whales and dolphins entertained us. The unit itself is well appointed and stocked. I would suggest checking in before grocery shopping to avoid duplicate/unnecessary purchases. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Beach equipment includes chairs, boogie boards, snorkel/fins and beach toys. The unit is lovely but small. I wouldn’t recommend 4 Adults, max 2 adults and 2 children. An A+ and highest ratings for this unit!!

Waves and Turtles

If you are looking to be near the ocean, you can't get much closer. We watched sea turtles in the water from the balcony. Unit was adequately equipped. The building itself is a bit old, but many in this area of Kauai are. The lock for the double slider to the balcony was a wood rod cut in half (like a broomstick) which you laid in the track on the floor on each side. A first for me in a vacation rental. Check in was easy. Furniture is comfortable. I do get a bit turned off by vacation rentals that charge a hefty cleaning fee, then ask you to remove the trash, wash the towels, run the dishwasher, etc. prior to check out. What's the cleaning fee for? Parking is very tight. Don't get the really large rental vehicle and you will be fine. Walk to great beaches just a stroll down the road and be sure to get a Puka dog!

An awesome place to stay

This property has an amazing location where you can see whales jumping in the ocean from your window. You also often see turtles in the cove while at the swimming pool. It is very nice to get to see so much and just listen to the ocean from the room. The place was also kept very clean and had good facilities to use. We felt that the bed in the master bed room was comfortable and the ones in the guest bed room were fine. The place is very nice, the only possible improvements that I saw were that the amount of hot water when taking a shower was quite limited. We did have the exact same experience in other places we have stayed at Poipu shores. Also, some of the kitchen accessories supplied could be better. For example, there were only 4 spoons supplied and so we had to run the dishwasher a lot. This is nothing big but it could be improved. Outside of that however, the place is extremely nice and we would definitely stay there again!

Poipu Shores 2 BR Condo

This is to help the next guests/ family... 1) Dirty floor/ surfaces: When we got inside the unit, we instantly discovered the floor was dirty (there are dirt residues, stain throughout the unit; we took our shoes off and our feet felt dirty right away; much dirtier than our home a few thousand miles away; looked like they just came in and took out the trash and washed the dishes; toilet in master bed was also dirty) 2) Unwashed pillows/linens: There were stain on pillows and bed sheets with smell (yes, we know they were not changed; we stay frequently at 4+ star hotels and know what fresh linens feel, smell, and look like) 3) Parking permit problem: property manager did NOT tell us we need to get a parking permit; it was not mentioned in email; not mentioned in pre-arrival communication; they make sure we got the negative covid test with QR code from Hawaii safe travel site; they did not make sure we got our parking permit; my car could have been towed; we got a warning citation the next morning telling us they might tow our car 4) Property manager was helpful and responsive: The manager, after listening to our concern, promptly sent people over to clean up the unit (floor, linens, new linens) the next day; we also got the parking permit the next day delivered to our unit; thank you! 5) Hope this review help our next guests, relatives, friends
