Fun in Paradise

We wished that the sofa made into a hide-a-bed.There are some fun Hawaiian movies in the condo we would have liked to watch, but no working DVD player. Overall we would gladly stay in this condo again.

AND as of this week, there is also a new sofa sleeper in the living room. DVD player finally broke and most people stream their movies now, so have not replaced it yet. Another great stay at the Kiahuna

Condo was in excellent shape. Great location for beach or pool. Nicely decorated and kitchen well equipped. One small quibble, there were no useable beach things. I know that this changes depending upon who stayed previously but thought I'd mention it.

They were all in good shape 3 months ago, but sorry they were unusable during your stay - you are the first guest to tell me since I was there recently. Kiahuna Plantation 2BR/2BA - Poipu Beach Condo

Really enjoyed having 2 bd 2 bath with a large family room and a kitchen. It gave my family of 4 lots of space after a busy day to wind down after a day full of excursions. Short walk to the outstanding beach! Gardens were beautiful. WIFI and Netflex worked great. Like the 2 Decks too. I very much recommend this house!

Comfortable and well kept condo within walking distance of the beach

The Garlands are very gracious hosts, their condo is updated and has everything you need. It is on two levels with the bedroom being on the ground floor, this makes for a lovely air circulation. There is a nice beach on the border of the property, an easy walk. Only downside is there is not a pool on the property. There is access to a swim club across a busy highway, it is less than idea.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your holiday. This resort chose to keep the vast open grassy area next to the beach rather than having a busy, crowded pool there. This unique open space cannot be found at any other resort and helps create the relaxing, tropical, calming atmosphere that reflects Kauai. There is no other resort with enough open space to play frisbee, bocce ball or soccer right next to the beach. For those of you who like a pool, it is available across the street, but most guests who go to Kauai prefer the beach. I provide a resort map to every inquiry so that you know the layout of the complex. Everyone likes different things on their vacations, so I'm sorry the pool was not where you wanted it. I hope the rest of your vacation was wonderful and hope you can go back to Kauai again soon.

Pleasant tropical week by the beach

We enjoyed our time at this condo. Communication with the owner was terrific, and the unit had all the essentials for a relaxing visit. Admittedly the entire property is a bit worn at the edges and the unit itself could use some updating on furniture, fixtures, etc but none of that got in the way of our fun. If you are a beach lover, the unit is a five minute walk to great swimming and snorkeling. If you are more of a gym user or pool lounger, be prepared to use a nice private club across the street because the property doesn’t have a pool or gym. I’d say this is not a deluxe property but the location and awesome orchid garden work in its favor.

NIce condo complex and helpful owner

We really liked the condo complex, which has beautiful gardens and has a great beach with both swimming and nearby snorkeling. The complex has a nice grassy area and easy access to the beach. The owner was very helpful and it was easy to arrange the rental. The unit was fine and reasonably well equipped, although some of the furnishings seemed a bit worn and the place was in minor disrepair. When I booked the place, I was afraid it might be too close to the road, but this was not an issue at all. The unit does not have an ocean view, but does look out on to nice gardens.

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad the maintenance staff was able to fix the dishwasher, toilet and fan remote while you were there. Our maintenance office is on-site and available 7 days per week if needed during your stay. Both bathrooms will be upgraded this fall as well. The chair cushions will also be replaced. I am only at the condo 2-3 times each year, so I appreciate when my guests let me know when repairs are needed. Please call or text me at any time before, during or after your stay to let me know if there are any problems so I can help you get them fixed immediately. I want you to have an amazing vacation and enjoy your time in the condo!

Wonderful stay at Kiahuna

We loved Kim Condo. A lot of listings harp on about having AC. It’s really not important. We didn’t need it, it cooled down sufficiently every evening and the ceiling fans worked just great. Location is superb with walkable access to a Plethora of restaurants in less than 5 minutes. Beautiful beach and the grounds were a pleasure to walk through. I believe there are bbqs but no idea where. The living room is an excellent size and general accommodation is clean and spacious. Highly recommend.

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It appeared as if the kitchen cabinets and counter tops were updated recently. All kitchen furnishings appeared to be new. The guest bath shower door was a bit of a problem, either not properly installed or missing parts, it kept falling off the track. The substantial pile of remote controls could use labels to identify what fans, heaters, TV's or DVD player they operate. Overall, well kept condo in a good location.

Appreciate the feedback. Please let me know anytime maintenance or repairs are needed - there is an on-site management company who can fix anything immediately if needed. I only know when repairs are needed if a guest tells me since we are only there twice per year. And we will definitely weed out the extra remotes next time we are there! We want everything in our condo to be working perfectly for you!

Everything was easy

We loved the room set up in this unit. Nice larger private rooms and bathrooms. Super clean and super convenient to everything in Poipu. Owner was very responsive to questions prior to our stay. The unit was louder than I would have expected. Probably due to several restaurants across the way. However things usually quieted down by 11:00. The other bummer was the lack of spices for cooking. I understand it’s a policy of the management company but something that many private VRBOs include and that those who like to cook will miss.

The mini-market across the street offers many items in travel sizes and spices are easy to pack. I'm sorry the condo cannot be stocked with spices for my culinary guests. But hopefully you may enjoy finding new Hawaiian spices to use while you are here. Thanks again for choosing our condo and we hope you can go back to Kauai again soon!

Great Location!

The unit was decorated well and clean. We knew going into the trip that there is no air conditioning. Reviews said that it cooled down nicely in the evening, so we went ahead and booked it. Sleeping was quite difficult as it didn't cool down in the unit until 2 am or so. There were plenty of fans provided, but we are accustomed to sleeping in cooler temperatures. Expected more of a breeze to move through the unit. Quick access to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and pool/fitness club. We saw turtles every day on the beach nearby and a couple of Hawaiian Monk Seals! It was a wonderful first trip to beautiful Kauai!

This condo was great. Fully stocked kitchen, large front room , bedrooms were fine. Only disappointed that wasn't aware that there was two singles in the one bedroom but it was fine. It was a five minute walk down to the beach or the green area to play boccie. Every path basically leads you to the beach who could ask for more. There is a small shopping centre across the street. Restaurants with delicious food. There is a small sports centre also across the street that is available to the guests which has a small pool area for kids, workout centre, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts. It was quite lovely. We used the centre everyday. There is also a little bar/grill in this complex that overlooks an entertainment area when there is live entertainment. Must admit that got a little loud one night but survivable. I would definitely go back again. Anyone who is looking to rent this condo would thoroughly enjoy it.

We started bringing our boys to the Kiahuna Plantation when they were young. It was such an easy and gorgeous place to vacation that we just kept going back!

This is our favorite Hawaiian island - its lush greenery and tropical vegetation is a tropical paradise! The Kiahuna is the perfect place for families, fun and relaxing without the crowds of Waikiki or Maui !!

This is a unique low-density resort with large open grassy areas, gorgeous tropical gardens and traditional Hawaiian plantation style condos - not your typical high rise hotel. With approximately 1584 square feet/147 square meters, there's plenty of room to stretch out and relax in this well-appointed condominium. Right across the street is a mini-market for stocking the fridge, as well as restaurants and shopping. This beautiful beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and surfing right out front, with on-site rentals, surf lessons and free beach chairs/loungers and towels. Just a few steps to golf and tennis as well.
