A lovely secluded cottage (with an extra cabin) in the woods, with stunning views, conveniently located to Southwest Harbor and nearby trails. The main cottage was comfortable and spacious, with a large open living room and well-appointed kitchen. Great wrap-around deck for eating and sitting outside! Extremely quiet and relaxing.
A spacious first floor and well laid-out galley kitchen. Nice deck. Beautiful views from upstairs, where only real bedroom and full bath were located. Nice and well equipped office area, along with beautiful screened porch also were upstairs. It would have been nice to have more than two high chairs on the upstairs porch, as this was one of the prettiest views. We were disappointed in the downstairs upholstered furniture, as the couches were sprung and not very comfortable after sitting awhile. It would also have been nice to have a vacuum for the floors(as opposed to the one there that did only rugs). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the locale. Lots of outdoors to enjoy and little if any noise. Plenty of cleaning supplies and linens, spices, etc., which was a pleasant surprise. Having the extra space in the cabin was nice too. And Mindy, the manager, was a pure pleasure to deal with; she responded promptly whenever we reached out for anything at all.
Great property; nice quiet side of island. Main house/bunk house arrangements nice for family with adult children.
GIS coordinates didn’t get us there but super accessible by phone and helpful host saved the day/ got us the directions we needed to get there
This property and property manager exceeded our expectations! The communication from start to finish was outstanding. The property manager, Mindy, Gave us great tips for places to find the best lobster and brought us propane so we could grill. She was so responsive, even when she was heading out of town herself.
The property was super clean and the view was everything! Mindy left snacks for us on arrival and the cabinets were well appointed with spices, olive oil, salt, pepper, etc.
Our girls 14 and 16 shared the loft space comfortably. They loved the couch conversion bed so much they want one for our loft!!
This property was close to everything and we would love to stay here again!
Thank you to Mindy and her helpers for making our vacation so comfortable and relaxing!!!
We had a wonderful week in Southwest Harbor, Maine in the peak of the visitor season. We were very lucky to find this rustic and charming cottage with a great view. The property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. We were welcomed with snacks, guides on where to visit in Maine and a large, well appointed and spacious cottage as well as access to a guest cottage. We were very close to "downtown" Southwest Harbor but appreciated the quiet and remote area where this cottage is located. We would definitely stay here again!
