Family getaway

We loved the location. Great communication with property manager. We had a minor issue and they had a handyman out right away. My grandson loved the play area. The view is awesome from the back deck. The driveway was a little challenging but we made it fine with AWD. You would definitely need 4WD or AWD. I love the Blue Ridge and Helen area. We hope to come back again soon!!

Relaxing trip!

We loved staying at Cherry Log! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. The cabin was the cleanest we’ve ever stayed at and was very cozy. Beds in all the rooms were especially comfortable and the hottub was for sure a highlight! Definitely take their recommendation for 4wd seriously as the driveway is pretty steep. Very glad we heeded their warning. We would 100% stay at one of their properties again!

A great family getaway!

My family had the best time at this cabin! We enjoyed waking up every morning to see the sunrise while drinking coffee, and every night we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub to music. We’re big on puzzles and games, so of course we worked on the puzzles and played the games that were supplied at the cabin! We loved making s’mores at the fire pit and playing on the play set. The proximity to hikes, vineyards, museums, and downtown Blueridge was great for us. We would totally recommend the Cherry Log Cabin and would definitely return!

The property is everything the owners described. Absolutely perfect for a mini vacation. Best part for my wife and I were the swinging chairs on the back porch with the Mountain View’s. I was able to disconnect from everything for the first time on a get away. Drive is definitely steep but nothing serious.

Lovely and Relaxing

Cherry Log Summit was wonderful for our family New Year getaway. We loved the space of the cabin and amenities offered. Everything listed about the property is accurate and the hosts are highly communicative. The view is beautiful and so fun to watch. You can hear some 515 road noise but we hid it under music through a personal speaker. The hot tub was fabulous! I highly recommend Cherry Log Summit for a relaxing North GA vacation.

Thanksgiving Retreat

We had an amazing, relaxing time at Cherry Log Summit. The home is so cozy and had everything we needed. Top two raves are the comfy beds and overall cleanliness. We spent a lot of time around the fire pit and playing shuffleboard. The views were spectacular. The drive is steep, but we had no problem in our AWD SUV. The owners were highly responsive and just great to work with!! Can’t wait to be back.

Fantastic Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. No expense was spared on the amenities and the view was incredible. The cabin was very close to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. During our stay we had a bad storm come through and a tree fell on the road up to the cabin. I sent a message to the owner and he called me within 30 seconds and had someone to remove the tree within 30 mins - super responsive! I highly recommend this cabin.

We enjoyed getting back to the north GA mountains at this lovely cabin. It was just want we needed. The views are amazing and it is peaceful. We enjoyed the shuffleboard games downstairs and the owner communicated with us extremely well with everything we needed to know. I liked that there was info on what to do in the area and recommended restaurants etc. The furnishings were perfect and the hot tub was great. It is a very steep road & driveway so you need to know how to navigate. We came in our pick up truck.

Great place. The property is fairly new so it is excellent shape. Very clean and smelled great when we arrived. We loved the location as it is in between Ellijay and Blue Ridge...both of these small towns have great shopping and excellent places to eat. We have stayed in this area twice before and this was our favorite cabin. We also appreciated that the road up to the cabin was short...albeit bumpy and steep! I would definitely recommend an AWD or 4WD and you will have no trouble. We loved that the cabin is set alone and so very quiet. We usually want to stay at other cabins when revisiting the area, but we all agreed we would stay here again. Thanks for hosting us.

We enjoyed our cabin stay with 4 adults and 3 kids. Beautiful views. A little road noise from the highway but only can be heard outside. No visible neighbors from the house so very private and quiet otherwise. The game room and playset were a big hit with the kids. The hot tub is large enough for a group, the fire pit has plenty of seats. The hosts are responsive quickly and although there were a few minor maintenance items that needed to be addressed, overall our stay was great. Definitely need 4WD to get up the road/driveway. Close to town at blue ridge.

Perfect Mountain Cabin Experience

We had a perfect mountain cabin experience at Cherry Log Summit. This cabin is beautifully appointed. From the spectacular views to the super comfortable king beds to the adorable game room and huge hot tub, we couldn’t have asked for more. And we felt very secluded here at the top of the mountain. Our hosts thought of everything and left nice goodies for us including two much needed pizzas in the freezer. And if you like taking pictures to share on social media, this place provides so many ideal backdrops. We heeded the suggestions to drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle and were very glad we did as the road was as advertised. We would absolutely rent this amazing gem of a cabin again. Thank you, hosts!

This rental was stress free and the location is perfect. The view from any angle is breathtaking at every point in the day. The house is comfortable, beautifully decorated, clean, and the owners sure know how to make you feel at home with everything they provide during your stay. I've rented several times and always wanted to try someplace new for a next time, but this was spectacular and unforgettable and I can't wait to come back. You will need 4x4 car to get up driveway. Most relaxing cabin and the BEST views!

What an incredible cabin! My husband and I took a little getaway weekend without the 2 rambunctious boys of ours! We enjoyed sooo many things about this cabin!! Swings off the back porch over looking the most amazing views, also took the time to grill out and swing some more! The lower level with the hot tub that I personally hung out in everyday. Much needed me time, taking in the views and listening to music with of course a mimosa in hand! Watched the Ga game down stairs while playing a very competitive game of shuffle board. The gas fireplace turned on by a flip of a switch, and some Yellowstone! Most random thing ever that I love is the sheets, comforter and pillows that this cabin had! Need to info to them, was too relaxed to check all the tags. Haha Another cute aspect of this cabin is the decor. Loved the simple modern and boho vibe to the place. Instagram worthy posts constantly! We are actually planning another trip ASAP! With the boys because they would love it! Also another amazing part of this cabin you are in your own world, on a small peak of a mountain. We walked around the whole peak and had MORE VIEWS! Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic cabin with a fantastic view

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights just before Christmas. There were 4 adults and 2 children. First off, the cabin is very clean, spacious, has breathtaking views, and was decorated for the holidays. There was ample space for all of us and no fighting for bathroom time either! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pans, etc so we were able to make any meal we desired. There were also ample supplies of necessities—a rarity is seems nowadays. We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub after hikes, which are plentiful nearby. The balcony upstairs was so peaceful. The game room was such an added plus, we spent so much time playing shuffleboard and foosball. The beds were very comfy (and we’re super picky). So comfy, I would buy the mattress for my own home. Brandon was super responsive and checked in on us (via text) regularly to make sure we had anything we needed. He was a great host. The only potential issue one might have is making it up the steep drive without 4WD, particularly when wet, icy, or snowy. We have a pilot without 4WD and did ok, but during a heavy rain it was a little tough We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. We loved it so much and made great memories. It was one of the best cabins we’ve stayed.

Relax on the Summit in Cherry Log

We had a great time celebrating our 20 year anniversary at Cherry Log Summit! The house was clean with the lights on and it was ready and welcoming for our arrival. There are so many areas to sit, relax and enjoy the view. The beds are super comfy and we slept very well. We LOVED the hot tub! We found everything we needed in the kitchen and truly enjoyed our stay. There are so many fun design features and well stocked amenities that it is easy to relax and have fun. There are towels for the hot tub, s’more sticks for the fire pit, some basic condiments and spices, and a great selection of blankets. The property owners were awesome! They responded quickly to questions and were able to troubleshoot an issue with the hot tub and got us back on track quickly. It is super important to visit with an SUV! This would be a great vacation rental in the cooler months. There was so much space to spread out and the two swing chairs were a highlight for us. There is some road noise from 515 but it’s not bad. We still heard birds and a turtle wandering through the leaves and there are no neighbors within sight. The master bedroom did not get as cool as downstairs, BUT with the extra fan they have as option, it was very comfortable. We would definitely come back to Cherry Log Summit! A beautiful home and outstanding property owners makes for a VRBO location worth repeating!

Anniversary trip

Overall it was a good trip bcuz we made it that way! but there are a few things that had happened and we realized once we arrived that we have decided to not return to this cabin again. First, in the pictures and descriptions of the property and amenities were wrong. It shows a pull out sofa bed in the basement.there is one..but it is broken and it isn't even the one in the picture. Also, it shows that the hot tub has lights and fountains. neither actually work.also they show the grill and all that we get there.not thinking about checking the actual grill we just seen the grill brush was disgusting so we went and bought one. Bought steaks and all that and got back to the cabin and looked at the grill and the metal was actually flaking off of it and one of the pilots didn't work. So we had to cook our steaks in the oven. Also the ice maker didn't work we had to fix it. The tv remotes were messed up the first day, Thankfully the owner got the cleaner to bring new remotes the next day. The last day we were there it was storming and we lost power. When we got a hold of the owner he told us that they had a generator and it should have went on automatically. We went over an hour with no power until WE figured out that the generator wasn't working and we had to go flip a switch for it to work we still lost power 6 more times and had to go flip the switch outside on the generator every time! Being without power with a 1 year old is not easy! They had no candles & only 1 flashlight

Great for a family!

This cabin was everything the listing said and more. It was a great size and location for our family of 5. Our 3 & 5 year old loved the porch swings, the views were incredible, the location was great and such a quick trip to both Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Brandon and Katharina were great hosts. We were supposed to stay in October but had a family emergency and they were incredibly accommodating and let us rebook our trip. We will definitely be back!

Our first trip to Blue Ridge was just recently in the summer of 2021 and we undeniably fell in love. The mountain vibes left such a good impression, that we decided as a family to find our home away from home: Cherry Log Summit. The surrounding area has so much to offer for families, friends, and couples during every season of the year. We haven’t even had the chance to experience everything Blue Ridge has to offer and have a long bucket list waiting for our next adventure. We have one daughter, who was born in 2019, and a new baby boy born in April of 2022. We love to travel and spend time exploring new places as a family.

Why they chose this property

We looked in various areas near Blue Ridge, Cherry Log, and Ellijay, both on the water and in the mountains. When we discovered Cherry Log Summit, we knew it was for us. The cabin is on a secluded summit with easy access to the main road making trips to Blue Ridge and Ellijay a breeze. The year-round views of the morning sunrises and winter sunsets are truly amazing. Cherry Log Summit offers both relaxation and serenity as well as fun and games and is the perfect home for our growing family.
