About this property

Beautiful Lake Front View

Relax and get away from it all in this newly renovated and restored Cottage. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the cozy screened in porch. Go down to the water’s edge and look for snail shells. Cast a line from the dock or bring your boat and cast off into the 37,000 acres of prime fishing waters in Lake Seminole. Explore the cove and river in the kayak, or just sit around the fire pit and enjoy time well spent.

The house is multi-family friendly. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bathroom 1 has a tub/ shower combo, while bathroom 2 has a walk-in shower. Two bedrooms have queen size beds. One bedroom has two twin bunk beds. There is also a Daybed in the fourth bedroom. There is a sleeper sofa as well. The kitchen has a large dining space with an expansive bar area; perfect for couples or larger families. The Den has a new 55 inch flat screen smart TV. The house has Dish Network and wind stream internet.

Kitchen is furnished with pots, pans, crockpot, toaster, mixer, blender, electric griddle, *electric ice cream churn, bunt and cupcake pans, mixing bowls, cutting boards, and your normal kitchen utensils.

There are two charcoal grills. Also a boiling pot with strainer basket (can be used for steaming too) and a propane cooker.

There is a covered fish cleaning station with power and lights. Power to charge the batteries on your boat is located at the end of the boat house close to the dock.

The house sustained major damage during Hurricane Michael. It has been completely renovated. The flooring, furnishings, and all electronic equipment have been updated.

Trail's End Resort is less than 1/2 mile away. Trail's End has a boat launch, and a restaurant, "Pops".

Seminole State Park is less than 2 miles away with a sandy beach area, swimming, putt-putt golf, nature trails and great picnicking areas.

The lake access for this property is convenient for fishing or recreational boating (the cove with our dock is accessible to the lake). We are located at the mouth of the Chatahoochee River, and just North of the Locks leading into the Appalachicola River.

About the host

I am an Asst Chief for the police department and my wife is a school teacher. Folks are always relieved to stay at our property when they find out what I do for a living, you never know what kind of people you are renting from now days. My wife has always wanted a lake house. We looked for a while and found this home. We bought it in July of 2021. She enjoys sitting on the screened in porch looking at the lake and I enjoy fishing.

Why they chose this property

How peaceful it is. Sitting on the back porch in the mornings or evenings with great sunsets to view. It is rural, however, you won't hear planes, trainings, traffic, or sirens at our property. Just the occasional bass boat passing by.

What makes this property unique

Close to the highway, but at the end of Hwy 253 close to "Trails End". Peaceful neighbors that are very easy going. Close access to boat landings, there are 5 within about 6 minutes of the house, with one being 3/8 of a mile. Access to the water from our dock, large 1 acre lot for plenty of parking or area for the kids to play in.
