A quiet, outback setting, nestled in the mountains of Snyder County

Come and relax on the large deck with a cup of coffee and indulge yourself in the serenity of nature and spectacular views surrounding you. Enjoy the large variety of activities: swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding, volleyball, and campfires.
A very secluded property with private hiking trails on 125 acres and is connected to many miles of Bald Eagle State Forest. Lots of games and children's activities are for you to enjoy.
A large timber frame pavilion complete with an outdoor kitchen and bathrooms provides ample space to cook, eat and hang out.
The cabin has a living room with a large stone fireplace. Bedrooms have beautiful log furniture. The basement has a gas fireplace and additional couches and a table to play games.

Impressive Stay at Bald Eagle Retreat

Overall quality better than we had imagined. The kitchen in the pavilion was clean and very effective to serve a large crowd. The space it provides is great. The yard was mowed nicely which is always a plus for games & etc. If anything could make an awesome place a bit better, it would be 2 professional style pickleball courts with good lighting, though this totally didn't keep us from having a great time. Thank you!

Wonderful place for a large group

Cannot wait to come back to this amazing house surrounded by the nature. This retreat is something that is worth experiencing. The place is huge, everything for both kids and adults have been carefully taken care of. We loved our stay.

Love this place. 2nd year staying here for a friend's and family reunion. Host responded to our in app messages with helpful and polite response. Property is outstanding with trails, game room, sports field and the professional kitchen is awesome.

We took another youth retreat to Bald Eagle and it was just as marvelous as our previous trips. There are so many things to do on the property and the accommodations are splendid and perfect for a large group. Thanks again!!

Amazing place for Group Retreat

This place is amazing! The host is super friendly and responsive. This place is also HUGE and perfect for a large group! We have 40+ people and there’s still plenty of space. There’s also so much to do for outdoor activities. The kayaks and paddle boards are so much fun! Would definitely consider returning here in the future!

Weekend Reception

We had a weekend reception for family and friends at the property. This was perfect for us to get away in the mountains, and have enough room in the lodge and the pavilion for everyone. There was something for everyone: Ponds, Game Room, Playground, etc.. This is the perfect place for a getaway with a group of family or friends.

Weekend with childhood friends

This is our second time staying at this property. We enjoy all of the outdoor activities even in the middle of PA winter. The fireplace in the main living room is beautiful and so cozy. The owner was always so quick to answer our questions and is very accommodating. Thanks for another memorable trip!

Unbelievable property top to bottom

Amazing location (near some top notch trout fisheries), property is beyond what pictures can capture. Perfect in nearly every way. The view, the kitchen (is a blast to cook in for big groups), and the countless activities. Would gladly return.

Relax and reconnect

Our group of 25 friends had a wonderful stay! The nature is lovely with with ponds and trees. The pavilion is an added bonus as a place to cook and spread out. Service is sketchy up the mt. so recommended to take screenshots of your directions! Would love to return in the summer months.

Great family reunion

A wonderful experience from start to finish. The owners were very responsive and addressed all concerns both before and during the stay. There were six families total in the house (25 people) ranging from ages 9-58 and everyone had a great time. The game room was great to keep everyone entertained and the house was large enough that despite having a large group everyone still had their own space and privacy. The house was clean and well stocked with the essentials and then some. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We are already planning when we can return!

Perfect for a small wedding

My son and his fiancée reached out to the owners of this property about having a small wedding here. The owners and caretaker were great with communicating with us and provided everything we needed to make it a perfect wedding weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful and the cabin was exactly what we needed to house out of town guests from across the country. The only issue we had was that we gave the owners the number of people that were invited to the wedding and were charged for 75 when we ended up only having about 50 people at the wedding. We reached out to the owners about the difference in guests but were not offered a refund for the people people who did not attend. We were told that was part of the event fee but the property listing on VRBO said that we would be charged an additional $30 for every person above 30. There was no mention of an event fee on the listing.

Best place ever

The house is even better in person, the pictures don't give it justice. The outdoor kitchen is amazing. We had a lot of kids with us and we held a 'make your own pizza' night and that kitchen area was perfect to line the kids up with plenty of room to work!!
