Surrounded by a wrap-around porch, the massive lakeside mansion has an outdoor kitchen, playhouse, and bonfire! Wake up to stunning lake views, and enjoy beautiful sunsets off of one of the multiple decks! Master bedrooms have private balconies with scenic lake and mountain views. The custom-built indoor kitchen has all commercial appliances (including a pizza oven & 4 ovens) … a chef’s dream!

Fun family vacation

The house was wonderful. The management was quick to address any issues that arose. Our family loved our week together here. The walk down to the lake was a little treacherous The drive/walkway could be made more navigable

The property was as depicted on website and our family of 16 ages 2-72 plus a dog had plenty of room and enjoyed making and sharing meals in the spacious kitchen and dining areas! The lake provided daily entertainment and the nearby theme parks were very exciting!

Great house for large get-togethers!

Three generations met at this amazing house for the weekend. We enjoyed preparing meals together in the large kitchen, relaxing in the spacious living areas inside and out, and hanging out in the clear warm water by the dock. Highly recommend this property!

Vacation With Extended Family

5 families, 3 with kids, and 2 grandparents. Plenty of space for everyone. Spent most of our time on the wrap around porch or swimming by the dock. Everyone had a great time.

Family get together

Nice home with spacious bedrooms and a large kitchen with plenty of seating inside and out. Lots of refrigerator space. The water level was low at this time of year (March) but this was explained before renting. 8 kiddos 12 and under had a ball. It was about an hour drive to Gatlinburg. There is a bedroom on ground floor and the rest require stair climbing if that is an issue for any person in your party. We would recommend staying here.

Ladies trip

Yearly Ladies trip was a great time as always. The place has a beautiful view. It’s spacious and fit well for all of us. There were issues with the frig not keeping stuff cold enough which they did send someone to fix but it still went back to the warmer temperature. We do love to play corn hole which was there but there were no bags there so could not play which was disappointing. Place could use a good out door porch cleaning. Main bathroom was beautiful but if you’re a bit shy there are no curtains at the wall of windows when taking a shower. Hostess did get back to me pretty quickly whenever i messaged her.

Relaxing Lakeside Retreat

We rented this estate for my entire family who came in from around the country for my only daughters wedding. Even before arriving, we were impressed with the excellent communication from everyone involved. We noticed a tiny maintenance issue the first day, and even though we stressed that it was a non-emergency, they sent someone out immediately. This property is the most well appointed rental I have ever booked, and there was any appliance you could need available in the amazing chef’s kitchen. There was plenty of space for our family of fourteen to spread out and relax. I cannot give enough stars to do this magnificent property justice, and would not hesitate to rent it again. Thank you team Casa Vista Lago!!!

Hard to believe I paid over 11,000 for the week !!! The house was not that clean, crumbs in the kitchen On countertops,outdoor back deck was dirty, rice was all over the place , the outside bar was filthy. Seat cushions are dirty and need to be replaced . The kitchen pizza oven and salamander did not work, the griddle grill doesn’t get hot, the Blackstone grill off the back deck only one half worked. The kitchen skillets are terrible. Porch ceiling has mold. Down by the water there was trash ( beer cans and broken glass ) all over . The upper dock deck , not one lounge chair worked!! Dock ladder needs to be tightened up against the dock. There were ants on the 3d floor in the bedrooms. On a good note , beds were comfortable and the view is beautiful. I feel like I’ve been ripped off for paying that much . I rent houses on the beach with elevators in the Outer Banks that are not as expensive as this one.

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I wish you would have contacted us during your stay so that we could have handled your concerns immediately. We strive to reach 5 stars, and we are doing the following: Your comments were sent to the cleaning Company, and I asked to have outdoor cushions washed. We will be sending our own crew out to inspect cleaning efforts as an added layer of guest satisfaction. Our supervisor will also be going out tomorrow to inspect all pots /pans and appliances. The Lakehouse has a full commercial kitchen so it does not operate like traditional appliances, hence we will be preparing a manual to help future guests know how to operate this very specialized equipment. Additionally, I asked the staff to greet all future guests so they can be shown how everything works. As for the lake, it’s like a beach that we have no control over what washes up. The water is clean, and my family and I enjoy time every summer there ourselves, swimming and boating. I have ordered new lounge chairs - so thank you for letting me know that was needed. We really thought you were enjoying the house given all communications were positive, and how grateful you were we assisted in locating your package. Great home for family gathering

We went on a family vacation with 17 family members. The house was great with every bedroom having its own bath. The kitchen was well equipped and while the home isn't new, it is still extremely nice and well furnished. Our requests for several small maintenance issues were handled quickly and communication was great. The only things to note are that we were unable to use the outdoor kitchen because the walk down is pretty steep and my parents couldn't make it. Also, there is no designated pizza oven, only two house ovens that pizza can be made in or a pizza appliance that has a rotation tray to cook one pizza at a time. There was also no air fryer. Other than that, it was a perfect place to gather, share meals, and play games.

Family Vacation

This large home is absolutely wonderful for our large family. We had 4 family units with 12 grandchildren. Each couple had their own bedroom/bathroom and then the grandchildren all grouped in the other bedrooms. The large kitchen is wonderful, and well equipped, though a bit tight on food storage outside of the overside fridge-due to no pantry, but we manage. The dock and lake is superb-but I won't lie- it is quite a downhill/uphill hike back and forth. My husband and I are a healthy 72, so we were fine... but if you have bad knees or hips, it might be a problem. The house is spotless and a great grill on the deck. The only unrepaired equipment is on the dock-the only way out of the dock is one stepladder at the end -which was broken last year and still broken this year. We asked for it to be repaired- but it did not happen. Overall, fabulous place. We will return in 2 years.

Start of an extended family annual tradition

We brought our boat and entire extended family for a long weekend stay. The accommodations were roomy and comfortable, even with such a large group. We especially enjoyed preparing meals in the spacious kitchen and time spent on the multiple porches. Only improvements could have been use of the elevator (we had 2 sets of grandparents and only one main floor bedroom) and the listing stated one bedroom had a pullout sleeper sofa that was not the case. We would definitely rent again and make an annual tradition.

Why they chose this property

This property is one of a kind - unlike any I have ever seen. Its enourmous size simply doesn't convey in photos. The home feels like something out of a movie....the wrap around porches surrounded by numerous humminbirds is a breathtaking experience! Additionally, the home is on Douglas Lake - a large lake phenomenal for fishing. We installed a double decker dock which is quite unique!

Double Boat Dock, large space, simultaneous lake and Smoky Mountain views, bonfire area, tree house, and outdoor kitchen are amenities hard to beat!
