The casa Maremonti is an old Ligurian farmhouse in the hinterland of Imperia on the Ligurian 'Riviera ponente'. Here you can combine the hiking holiday in the Alps with the beach holiday on the Mediterranean.

Nirasca is nestled in olive groves at 486 m above sea level. This makes it well bearable in midsummer. The house is located in the lower district, the so-called 'case sottane'. The place has around 30 (!) friendly and helpful residents.

The beautiful town of Pieve di Teco, whose monastery can be seen from the house in the valley, is just 5 minutes away by car. Pieve di Teco is historically an important transit station towards Piedmont and has retained a pristine charm. Here, in the medieval arcades in small shops, there are a variety of shops for everyday needs and local products and there are bars and trattorias. In the hinterland of Imperia you can partake in a genuine Italian life and enjoy a pristine, intact nature. To the coast you either drive to Albenga / Alassio or to Imperia a good half hour each. Half an hour by car to the hinterland, and you are in the middle of the mountains of the Ligurian Maritime Alps with their almost unlimited hiking possibilities.

Perfekt für Urlaub zugleich am Meer und in den Bergen.

Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus, bestens ausgestattet, schöner Blick von der Terrasse/Garten und aus dem Wohnzimmer, exzellente Betten. Die Lage ist sehr gut für einen vielfältigen Urlaub mit Strand und alpinen Landschaften. Es ging uns blendend!

Ein Ort zum Abschalten....

In den Pfingsferien haben wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern, 9 und 10 Jahre) 2 wunderbare Wochen in Nirasca verbracht - wer eine komfortable Bleibe in wunderschöner ruhiger Umgebung sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Das Haus wurde von seinem Eigentümer sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und eingerichtet, wobei der ursprüngliche Charakter des Bauernhauses aber erhalten geblieben ist und ein gemütliches Flair verschafft – nicht zuletzt durch den Kaminofen, den wir ziemlich regelmäβig an den zT. noch recht kühlen Abenden angefeuert haben. Besonderes Highlight: das groβe Panoramafenster im Wohnzimmer, wodurch man einen einzigartigen Blick auf die nahezu unberührte Berglandschaft der Umgebung genieβen kann – ersetzt jeden Fernseher! Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet (sogar eine Salatschleuder!) – insbesondere eine für ein Ferienhaus sehr reichlich bemessene Menge an Geschirr! Auch wenn wir hin und wieder eine der Restaurantempfehlungen des Vermieters getestet haben (allesamt sehr lecker!), so haben wir auch sehr viel selber gekocht und es hat an nichts gefehlt! Dazu kommt die tolle Lage des Hauses: einerseits einsam und ruhig in einem wie wir fanden (zumindest in der Vorsaison) noch recht ursprünglichen Teil Liguriens gelegen, mit der Möglichkeit die wunderbare Natur und Kulturlandschaft in Form von Wanderungen, Radtouren oder mit dem Auto zu erkunden. Wenn man dann doch wieder etwas mehr unter Menschen möchte, ist auch die Küste mit einer Shopping- oder Sightseeingtour nach Imperia, Sanremo oder Genua schnell erreicht. Uns hat es auf jeden Fall so gut gefallen, dass wir auf jeden Fall (nächstes Jahr?) wieder kommen wollen! Vielen Dank auch an den Vermieter, Herrn Menrad, der bei allen Fragen rund um den Aufenthalt stets sehr hilfsbereit war.

Ligurisches Refugium

Selten haben wir uns in einem Ferienhaus so wohl gefühlt. Die Gründe dafür sind vielfältig. Unser Aufenthalt fiel in den März. Die Flucht aus dem ewigen Winter in Berlin brachte uns in die Casa Dino und damit in eine ungemein großzügige, geschmackvoll eingerichtete und unmittelbar wohnliche Behausung in einigen hundert Metern Höhe, inmitten des Olivenbauerndorfs Niscara. Das alte, in den Hang gebaute Haus entpuppte sich als klug renoviertes Refugium mit atemberaubendem Talblick, ausladendem Küche-Wohnbereich, Tiefschlaf-induzierenden Betten, terrassenförmig angelegtem Garten und vielem mehr. Es war zwar etwas kühl in den Bergen (anders als am Meer), die Bäume trugen noch kein Laub, aber die Stimmung war bereits sehr frühlingshaft. Außerdem ließ sich die Casa Dino mit Brennholz und über eine Gaszentralheizung (letztere gegen einen Aufpreis) problemlos auf Temperatur bringen. Wir haben uns viel in und am Haus aufgehalten, sind aber auch von Niscara aus zu Wanderungen aufgebrochen. Die Besuche in Pieve di Teco, einem sehenswerten Städtchen mit vielen Einkaufs- und Einkehrmöglichkeiten, prägten unseren einwöchigen Aufenthalt, der durch Ausflüge nach Nizza, Alassio, Albenga, Imperia und Rezzo abgerundet wurde. Die wenigen Tage in Niscara und Umgebung haben uns ungemein gutgetan, Ligurien ist ein perfektes Mittel gegen die mitteleuropäische Winterdepression. Und wir haben gleich wieder bei dem sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Vermieter gebucht, diesmal im September. Claudia Honecker & Tom Holert

Superbe !

Superbe location! Dans une ancienne maison de village restaurée avec grand soin ...le propriétaire est architecte, ça ne s'invente pas ! L'équipement cuisine est complet et fonctionnel. Question pratique, il vaut mieux demander l'accès à l'aspirateur au propriétaire surtout si vous avez un chien blanc car tout le logement est carrelé de pierres noires. Comme nous y étions début mai, nous n'avons pas eu la chance d'avoir une météo formidable : beaucoup de pluie. Même si les environs sont magnifiques malheureusement les 16°, 14° descendus jusqu'à 13° nous ont obligés à profiter un maximum de la location ...à l'intérieur. Dommage car les promenades sont chouettes et avoir de bonnes chaussures de marche est recommandé quand le temps n'est pas au top. Malgré les conseils et recommandations du propriétaire (impeccables! en français aussi!), si vous connaissez le fonctionnement d'un feu à bois, c'est un plus ! Pour ceux qui possèdent aussi ce genre de chauffage d'appoint donc, pas de problème. Il faut aller à la 3e cave et couper du petit bois pour l'allumage, un peu d'huile de bras est la bienvenue ! c'est aussi du sport. Le point négatif qui nous a empêché de cocher une 5e étoile, c'est qu'il faudrait donner 20€ par jour en plus du prix de la location en saison froide (donc en basse saison!). Les chambres et la salle d'eau sont à l'étage inférieur et la salle de bain qui est au sous-sol côté rue est hyper froide! On nous a apporté un petit chauffage soufflant 2 jours avant le départ. Il vaut mieux le demander directement à l'arrivée s'il n'est pas présent. Le restaurant Pizzeria à Pieve di Teco est à la hauteur de la recommandation du propriétaire : excellent pour un petit prix, ambiance familiale garantie ! Dans l'ensemble: très bon séjour au calme pour ceux qui veulent se reposer et très bon trip pour les promeneurs et sportifs de la marche. À recommander.

A mountain-side village

Pieve di Teco is a little gem with great shopping arcades but few places to eat/drink. Noasca is a further 4.5kms up the mountain via a narrow twisting lane. Once there Casa Dino is easily found and has the promised off-road parking. First impression on entering....Wow! very Architectural, and sure enough we soon learn the Owner is indeed an Architect in Berlin.Sadly all the home information is only in german so it was difficult to find how things worked; a call to Germany was needed in order to get the heating working as it was very cold when we arrived. We are both 80+ so found the numerous steps [of varying dimensions and with no handrails!!] a real hazard especially as the only toilet was on the lower floor, necessitating frequent use of the steep stair. The view over the surrounding mountains is great, the Kitchen arrangements are not; everything is there, but badly arranged with haphazard storage and out-of-reach shelves: everything worked OK [except for the dishwasher which could not be opened] but it is certainly not a place for keen cooks. Beds very comfortable and lots of good linen.

Urlaub für die Seele und Zeit zum Auftanken ...

Ein Haus mit Charakter. Wir waren begeistert von der liebevollen und geschmackvollen Restaurierung des alten Landhauses. Der Blick auf die Berge aus dem großen Panoramafenster im Wohnraum ist phänomenal. Die wenigen Bewohner des Bergdorfes sind sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. In der großen Küche findet man alles, was man braucht - Kühlschrank, Geschirrspülmaschine, Gasherd mit Backofen. Pfannen, Töpfe und Geschirr sind in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden. Auch eine Waschmaschine gibt es. Dass kein Fernseher und kein Wlan (wird aber wohl noch installiert) vorhanden waren, haben selbst unsere 14- und 17-jährigen Töchter gut verkraftet!!! Wir sind jeden Tag an unterschiedliche Strände gefahren und haben die uns vom Vermieter empfohlenen Restaurants getestet. Abends lädt das Haus zu Brettspielen am großen Küchentisch ein, oder man genießt bei einem guten Glas Wein den Blick in Berglandschaft. Wir hatten rundum einen sehr schönen Urlaub in Nirasca und haben uns vom Vermieter durch die vielen Tipps gut betreut gefühlt. Gerne kommen wir wieder...

lovely quiet place

Casa Dino is a lovely house, very spacious and tastefully renovated. We had a great time enjoying the view and slept very well in the comfortable bedrooms. Within 30 minutes you are either at the beach (Alassio is very romantic) or in the middle of the mountains!
