we had the best time at the camp. wonderful location - perfect camp feel. we enjoyed sitting out on the dock and took the kayaks around the pond. cozy camp with all the necessities. we’ll be back!
Beautiful place on the lake, we had a wonderful time. Communication was amazing, any and all of our questions answered in a very timely manner. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.
Our family of 5 had a wonderful week at Uptacamp— Norton Pond is beautiful for swimming and kayaking, the location is a great jumping off point for exploring the Midcoast area, and the cabin is comfy with plenty of space to hang out outside. Robert and his wife are terrific and responsive hosts. We hope to return!
We just ended a fantastic second stay at this classic vintage Maine camp! The hosts are beyond accommodating. When i expressed concern about the cold weather they added wool blankets for our comfort. Beautiful vintage cabin with everything needed for a complete Maine experience. We cooked lobsters and enjoyed them outside next to the pond. Had a couple of refreshing swims in Norton pond, a fire in the firepit and heard the loons and owls throughout our visit. The kayaks onsite made it easy to enjoy a quick paddle. Most of all we loved watching the morning sunlight with coffee from the front porch. Thank you, French's, for sharing this idyllic spot with us!
Lake life as I remember it from the 80s and 90s, everything we needed which was mostly a beautiful spot and peace and quiet. House is very basic and sweet. Mostly spent time outside and exploring nearby, so much to see! One thing I didn’t realize from the listing was the need to bring our own drinking water, but we managed! Loved hearing the loons and early morning kayaking.
We loved our quick trip to this property. The location was perfect, the boat house fully stocked with fun lake toys and despite our rainy forecast we had the best time! Check in and check out was smooth sailing and the house was prepped with everything we needed. Thanks so much!

Loved this rustic peaceful getaway in Maine! Between the sleeping porch and the perfect water, we were happy as clams and loons! Thanks for a great weekend.
This cottage brings you back in time to vintage Maine. Loved the sleeping porch and listening to the waves lapping the shore. Very well stocked kitchen and plenty of dry wood for the fire pit.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin on the lake! The cabin had lots of character, and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed some of the amenities to include kayaks and the fire pit by the lake. The cabin was very close to Camden and Rockport which we explored during the day. Excellent communication with the host. Would definitely recommend!
Great spot for a get away with our family. Well equipped camp to live in for the week. We cooked all of our meals there inside or on the grill, except pizza from the general store one night. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Owners were quick to communicate about any questions we had. Will stay again!
This was our third time in this wonderful location, on a clean and sunny lake, great dock, lots of room to hang out. Walkable road and a short drive or Kayak to Lincolnville General Store with fresh pizzas, coffee and essentials. Stephanie was a great host, attentive and helpful. Thank you!
We enjoyed the peaceful beauty of this stay. The camp itself is genuine vintage style but comfortable and being cared for. We appreciate the old places being rescued! We enjoyed eagles, loons, families of geese, local fare and visiting relatives. This is a lakeside gem hidden in Lincolnville Maine.
The property is very rustic and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. We spent most of our time sitting on the dock watching the wildlife and sunsets.
Everything was as expected. A pond front cottage with lots of equipment for various water activities. The gas grill was nice as we could prepare a number of meals at home. Without question, this property has the best bathroom I have ever experienced in renting properties around Norton’s Pond. I think anyone would enjoy a stay at this property.
The owners were very accommodating. Every little detail from easy access to the cottage, to all the amenities (pillows, sheets, blankets, towels provided, all kitchen items, toiletries in case you forgot, bandaids and bug spray, board games and a small boombox radio).
Cottage was very clean and the grounds were beautiful.
Looking forward to staying here again in the future.
Loved this house, such a perfect spot. Great house layout, clean, well supplied. The dock is right on the lake with clear water, we rented kayaks and paddled over to the lovely Lincolnville store (where they have everything, even pizza kitchen for takeout). It was quiet with little boat noise, just loons and the sounds of people enjoying summer.
