The amenities throughout this 3500+ sq. ft. home with an exposed lower level are too numerous to mention but they include two gas fireplaces, air conditioning, 12x16 screen porch, log siding in great room with cathedral ceiling, custom log stairway, luxury master suite with direct access to screen porch, hickory hardwood floors throughout and a custom log bar to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day on the lake.

The views are spectacular, and are only surpassed by the outstanding fishing on this premier lake. Squirrel Lake is a 1340 acre lake which is known for its Muskie, Bass, and Walleye and Pan fish and more!!! The fishermen from around the lake come to fish in front of this property!!! You can also enjoy swimming, boating, water-skiing or jet-skiing. We provide your own personal sun deck and pier, and boat dock. There is also a paddle board and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy. If you have small children or just want to play a game of water volleyball, the water is shallow enough for a good distance with a hard sand bottom.

Fall and Winter are spectacular in this area with loads of activities to enjoy!! The Fall colors are second to none. There is something for everyone... we are only 2 miles from Minocqua Winter Park which is famous for its cross-country skiing. Hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails are right out our front door. If that is not calling to you, why not just curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book and let the beauty of your surrounding reenergize your soul.

Gorgeous pristine cabin

Overall great! Basement is significantly cooler than the rest of the house, which is to be expected. Water is clean, good for swimming and kayaking.

Beautiful Experience!

Everything exceeded our expectations.The property was well kept and it definitely gave us the ultimate northwoods experience! The interior was clean, comfortable, and accommodating for our large party. Better yet, the view of the lake was incredible! Ray was a pleasure to work with and made renting a breeze. How to exceed expectations

Owner provided an honest description of the facilities and what we could expect. While there was a problem with the ice maker, everything else worked. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely return.

A slice of heaven on Squirrel Lake

This is a beautiful custom log home tucked into the corner of Squirrel Lake. It is impeccably maintained. It was the perfect spot for week of fun and relaxation for our family. The shore is shallow, perfect for our grandchildren to get into the water. Kayaks and a paddle board available for the adventurous. Eagles, loons, and many other birds are there for your entertainment. Great host, clear instructions, and a great value.

Best experience ever!

We recently stayed here with a group of 10 and it was the best experience ever. I have rented plenty of cabins in the area but have never stayed anywhere that was so well equipped! It has every possible thing you’d need, from every kitchen utensil and appliance, to extra pillows! The pictures do not do this house justice—it is stunning, with incredible views (from sunrise to sunset). We were kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing from dawn to dusk, everyday. Ray was so easy to work with and accommodating! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience four our family!

A bit of Nostalgia and a lot of good times

My parents owned a cottage on Squirrel Lake during the seventies, eighties and early nineties. It was great being back on the lake that held so many happy memories. The house was perfect. Everything we needed was at our disposal and in good repair. A great week for all of us.

An absolutely beautiful getaway!

This house is beautiful and impeccably clean! Our family went for the sole purpose of getting away from the stresses of life and we did just that. We spent our days on the pontoon,jet skiing, fishing in our boat, kayaking and swimming. We cooked every day in the very well equipped kitchen. It is a perfect place to go if you want to feel safe and free from COVID-19 worries! Thank you Ray for sharing your amazing home with us!

Summer Vacation 2020

We really enjoyed our family trip to this cottage. The cottage was exceptionally clean prior to our arrival. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome when we arrived. The cottage location made it very relaxing and peaceful for our family . We had a beautiful view of the lake and enjoyed several amazing sunsets from the deck. The pontoon boat was well maintained. The fact that the cottage had three floors allowed everyone to spread out and relax. The lake was large, and good for tubing, running the pontoon, or fishing. All in all a great place to stay, and a relaxing way to spend a week. I would definitely recommend staying at this cottage.

Lovely

Lovely home. Great access to the lake. Spacious with lots of amenities. Enough space for 8 adults and 5 youngish kids. Not far from town. Felt private and secluded. Upstairs bedroom and loft were perfect for 4 kids.

Beautiful modern lake house.

Large, beautiful, well maintained home with large beams and wood floors. Open concept kitchen and multi level living areas, allows for plenty of space for our large family to relax and enjoy. Great views of lake and sunsets. Has both an open deck as well as a screened in porch. Large and private property. Well maintained and always clean. This is our 8th year enjoying this home. We love the home, setting, quiet lake and close proximity to Minocqua.

Great Cabin!

This cabin hosted our group of nine VERY well! There was plenty of space and the cabin was very well appointed. While the weather did not cooperate as we hoped, we were able to get in some lake time swimming, boating and fishing. Also, the location of the cabin provided seclusion while conveniently offering the many activities availble in the Minocqua area. Great place to host a family get together.

Amazing!

We came from Texas to host a family reunion and this house was beyond our expectation! Everything about this home is top of line and absolutely beautiful. The property is quiet and the lake was perfect for swimming. We couldn't believe how often we saw bald eagles. What a treat for us and our kids!

Fun winter vacation!

We spent our 2013 winter vacation at this beautiful log estate. Excellent finishes throughout. The kids had a blast. Easy access to the snowmobile trails and easy ride down the lake for lunch at the local restaurant.

Perfect!!!

Spectacular!

The minute we walked in this home, we couldn't believe how meticulously clean it was. It has a very well thought out floor plan and is very spacious with lots of different areas for the family to hang out. The lake shore was great, sandy and shallow. You can't go wrong when renting this home!

Unforgettable vacation

This home is luxurious and spacious. Right on the lake and swimming off the dock is great. No weeds and sandy bottom. Shallow enough even for small children to enjoy with no problems. The house is fantastic. Makes you feel right at home. Location is great, too. A short drive will get you anywhere around Minocqua that you would want to go. All in all I would recommend this cabin and would definitely stay here again.
