About this property
Spacious Row House in Hip and Historic Location
This is a massive, bright Victorian row house with high ceilings in the most vibrant part of DC. A block from U St, 1.5 blocks from Shaw Metro (green/yellow lines).
You will have exclusive use of the entire main house. The first level includes a large living room with soaring ceilings, an office space with desk and neighborhood views, portable Bluetooth Bose speaker, a half bath, and eat-in kitchen with tons of counter space and everything you need to prepare and enjoy a wonderful meal at home. The table in the kitchen opens up to seat four guests (there are two additional chairs in the home to complete the seating).
The second level contains two bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms, high ceilings, ceiling fans, and plenty of natural light. The master bedrooms has a smart tv. There is a private courtyard in the back with two Adirondack rockers and wrought iron dining set for four. There are oversized washer and dryer in the basement as well as an iron and ironing board.
Although there is no TV in the living room, if guests prefer to have the TV in the living room instead of the bedroom, that can sometimes be arranged or you may carefully move the light TV as long as you move it back. Feel free to ask!
Gigabit fiber internet- ideally set up for remote work, play, sightseeing when in DC.
The kitchen has an abundance of spices, utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. We also have a coffee maker, microwave, hot water heater, and instant pot. If you have any questions about anything we have on hand, please let us know.
Need additional space? Ask about renting the converted carriage house (if available) behind the main house. It sleeps two additional people and has its own living area with tv, a kitchen, dining table, and full bathroom (with shower).
The home is in a very diverse, historic and bustling part of DC. Close to hip bars and some of the best restaurants in the city. You are really in the heart of the most exciting part of DC right now and steps from the Metro. For light sleepers and those sensitive to city noises, we offer ear plugs and noise dampening fans in each bedroom.

We had a wonderful time. A beautiful home in a great location. There was also a really nice outdoor space. Very clean. Christopher & Saad were fantastic. Great communication
Our new go-to place to stay when visiting our adult kids who live in the area.
Flawless experience with this VRBO. It is even better than the pictures. Little conveniences in the kitchen such as filtered water in the fridge and necessary condiments was very welcome. Host was fantastic to work with. We will most definitely be back.
This property was ideal for our family of four on a week long DC trip. Close to the metro, had everything we needed, there was plenty of extra toiletries, lots of space and it was clean. It’s in the city and there’s noise at night but nothing that some earplugs can’t fix.
My sister and I enjoyed our stay here. The place offers alot of amenities for cooking and relaxing after a long day of touring. A short walk to the Metro. One caveat for light sleepers...there is a bar on the corner with outdoor seating which could be noisy for the front bedroom sleeper. Otherwise, the place is perfect and we would definitely stay here again.
The home was very nice. Having separate upstairs bathrooms worked very well as well as having a few places to set up laptops and do some work. Only negative is the meighborhood. Too
The townhouse is spacious and a comfortable place to return after a full day out and about. Many interesting restaurants and a Whole Foods nearby. Public transportation is a quick walk nearby.
As others have mentioned, the next door bar was loud on Saturday night but otherwise we heard the usual city sounds from the front bedroom only.
We have stayed in many vrbos and the host was incredibly responsive to any questions and immediately took care of a guest parking pass issue.
This house was exactly what we wanted for our stay in DC. Plenty of room and the little patio area at the back was perfect for breakfast and evening drinks.
The area itself is bustling. Lots of great street art and we were spoilt for choice for restaurants. A grocery and liquor store both within 5 minutes walk. Chris responded to any questions promptly and provided us with a parking pass for the week we were there. I would highly recommend this property as a base for exploring DC.
Great property in NW DC area, 2 blocks from Metro stop. Small grocery, CVS, several food places within a block of the location. Property description on-line is absolutely accurate; have everything in the house needed for a short stay. Host responded to several questions before and after check-in very quickly which was appreciated. It's an active neighborhood so some level of street noise, but they have a white noise air purifier in front room that knocks that down for good sleeping. Parking in the neighborhood is very challenging, which wasn't an issue for us because we came in by train & air. Recommend the property without reservation.
Christopher’s VRBO posting accurately described the interior of this DC row house. It had spacious bedrooms, an updated master bathroom and a very well equipped kitchen. Christopher did an excellent job with communication. He was always quick to respond to any questions that arose prior to and during our visit.
I would have to warn anyone staying here that the neighborhood does have a high population of drug users. There is a bar located right next-door to this row house and many of the drug deals and users seemed to park themselves by the front gate to this unit. Thus, I would be hesitant to bring children here. The home is conveniently located close to various DC attractions and shopping neighborhoods.
This was a great rental. The house was very clean and well-stocked. The owner checked in a few times and was quick to respond. We were very pleased with our experience.
We were totally comfortable in this fabulous rowhouse. We slept well and had plenty of comfortable space to talk together. The kitchen was well stocked but there were too many excellent restaurant choices nearby so we ate out a bunch. We loved being 2 blocks from the yellow and green lines. It was a short hop to the Smithsonian and the National Mall.
There was some street noise, but never enough to disturb our sleep. We'd go back again in a heartbeat! Staying here made our DC stay convenient and comfortable!
The house was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay. The metro was two blocks away and provided easy access to DC attractions. The neighborhood was eclectic and interesting. A great place to stay.
The home was incredibly comfortable, stylish, and clean! We had everything we needed and we’re able to cook there and eat out at the local restaurants. It’s so close to everything! Definitely our favorite DC rental!
