With Redwood National Park a few miles away, and the world's most beautiful beach right across the street, how could you go wrong? The house and grounds are incredibly unique. The house is spotlessly clean and comfortable. This was my second time there and hopefully not my last. This is the perfect home base for exploring the Oregon coast, Redwood, and Shasta.
Perfect location, grossly underpriced, ideal central location for Redwood and the Oregon coast. The private beach across the street is perfect. I wish all Vrbo homes were this perfect
The beach bungalow has a wonderful "island" feel to it. You can hear the surf all evening for a restful sleep. The bed was a firm memory foam. Very comfortable. A short walk to a quiet beach was the centerpiece of a magical get away.

Thank you Robert. We are glad you enjoyed your stay
The place was fine. Just a couple minor issues: the shower has a continuous drip which is ok except at night when trying to go to sleep! The toilet has a very slow leak at the floor, which is enough to get your socks wet if we didn’t put a towel down. And there were quite a few bugs we found scampering around!! We did have a very pleasant stay!My biggest complaint is with the 3000 deposit requirement that VRBO takes and holds for two weeks after your stay!! You can get around it by paying a 80 fee that you don’t get back….but there are enough extra fees as it is!! I’m sure they have some scheme where they draw interest on that money for the time they have it in their account!!
The property itself is gorgeous. Inside the cottage however, there were some house keeping issues when we arrived: old coffee spill stains on the stove top, crumbs from old food were left in the microwave and toaster oven, all of the drawers where eating utensils were kept also had diet and old crumbs of food, one burner did not work on the stove top, all outside chairs and barbecue had dirt and cobwebs all over them. Other than that, it was an incredibly enjoyable, comfortable, homey cottage with tons of artistic interest.
Our stay was amazing. We are the type to bring extra bedding in case and it was not needed here. Our only complaint was it was too cold for our 1 year olds feet and on our first night it would not get warm. We got there around 5 and turned on the heaters but the baby was too cold. Bedding are super nice duvets so the beds were warm. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.

Del Norte house
We stayed 3 nights at the Del Norte house. The house was well equipped as far a kitchen and bathroom supplies. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure.
We did have a few issues with getting there. I clicked the link on VRBO website but the directions did not take us to the correct property. Fortunately, we realized this before we got to the wrong address.
The other issue was a few bugs. There were some dead bugs in the shower the night we got in. My husband cleaned them up. The next morning, there were more bugs in the shower. There were a few tiny live bugs crawling around. I contacted the host to let him know. He told me the bugs are Rollie Pollie bugs that are common in the area. They are a nuisance but harmless. We kept our suitcases off the floor and zipped up.
One other annoyance, we left on a Monday morning. We had 3 or 4 messages that we were to “roll” the garbage and recycling bins to the street for pick up. It was not a big deal, but we did pay a cleaning fee and not sure why we were responsible for this. The garbage pick up was either Monday night or Tuesday morning. We left at 7:30 am Monday.

Tom, thank you for your stay. We are sorry for the inconveniences. To be honest we have not had anyone not find the property before. The address is shown on the listing once the booking is confirmed.
The little Rollie pollies are seasonal. They are completely harmless. We don’t use harmful chemicals and the cottage is surrounded by trees and wildlife.
We ask guests to place the garbage cans by the curbside only if staying on Monday evening. Because the cleaning crew doesn’t come while guests are at the property.
We appreciate your stay and wish you all the best.
We enjoyed the close proximity to the Redwoods and the Coast. Downside of the cottage was not enough actual seating in the cottage and we had to bring our sand chairs in to the house to have a comfortable chair. It also would have been nice to have screens on the sliders and the front windows. Other than that it was a nice clean cottage and the beds were very comfortable. I also thought that there would be more privacy from the house in front.
The Funky Little Beach House was perfectly located for easy beach access and proximity to the Redwoods as well as all the Oregon Coast.
Ample space for 2 adults. Adequate facilities for meals and other personal needs.
Bed is comfy but sure would have been nice to have a dresser but we made due.
All in all a very nice place.
