Montrose Hist Dist - CharmAzure 2 Br/1Ba w W/D apt
The size of the approx 900 soft apartment is ideal for 4-5 guests for a short stay (1-2 days) or for 2-3 guests for a long stay (1 month and more). The building was built in 1950 but has been entirely renovated several times. The apartment is nicely furnished and renovated in summer 2018. The two bedrooms are located on the side of a private driveway. The bathroom is located between the two bedrooms. The bathroom is tiny and able to fit 1 person or 2 while 1 is taking a shower. There is a dining and living area. The kitchen has microwave, refrigerator (full size), gas stove and oven, coffee maker, toaster and tea maker. The apartment is located in a very quiet area apart from 3 to 4 pm from Sept to May when the closeby HS ends its sessions and traffic increases. The building was built in 1950'es and renovated several times; for this reason it does not have the noise insulation of the new buildings: you can hear sometimes the neighbors passing. Anyway additional carpets have been placed on the apartment on top to limit the noise. Pets are allowed in the apartment (we love pets as well) anyway we recommend for them to come with their own sleeping blankets. We do not expect to perform additional cleanings because of pets, if that would be necessary they will be billed to guests.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Very nice property, only problem was upstairs neighbors making noise, running up and down stairs, including a barking dog at 3:00AM. They were not as noisy the second night.
I've stayed at 802 W Main twice, and I enjoyed my stay both times. The place is cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The location is great because it is in walking distance from the bus and the train. The only thing I didn't like was the shower mat in the bathtub, which is like a carpet that never fully dries. I just moved it to the side so I didn't have to touch it.After several other sub-par VRBO experiences in Houston, this place is my go-to for my monthly work trips. I highly recommend it.
Pros: (1) Location, location, location. The neighborhood felt safe and it was only a 10-minute drive to downtown. (2) The linens on the bed were really nice and the towels were hotel standard. Everything was freshly laundered.Cons: (1) There is no central heat and air, as the place is a little older. Since there were only two AC units, the one in the back room is very loud for sleeping (a bonus if you like white noise). The second bedroom gets less air flow because of the setup, since the second AC unit is in the living room. (2) The bathroom is small and has a tiny toilet. Since there is no central heat and air, the bathroom was super stuffy and had no ventilation. There's a weird mat on the floor of the tub and when I went to move it out of the way, it was wet, which means it likely doesn't ever dry out. I treated it like a gym shower and wore flip flops.
