Historic farmhouse in very quiet surrounding and landscape

The holiday home "Casa la Cala" together with five other houses the center of the mountain village in the valley of Tenteniguada Valsequillo, located in the northeast of the island of Gran Canaria. The house has been lovingly restored, it dates from the period around 1600 and was built as a stable for donkeys and goats, its up to 80 cm thick walls consist only of boulders and clay. The location in a large garden and the fact that is to reach the house only a "Callejon" (alleys), guaranteed pure relaxation. Nowadays, it is next to an elaborate lighting, equipped with all modern comforts, such as Internet and satellite TV. In the kitchen stove, microwave and refrigerator is of course in addition to other equipment and a full assortment of special cooking and eating utensils. All necessary home textiles such as bed-sheets and pillowcases, table linen, bath sheets and towels. Next to the bedroom with double bed, located above the open kitchen, the hayloft, another double bed. The site Tenteniguada is due to its central location fantastic for long walks for all abilities in the Gran Canarische nature and in connection with a rental car, all interesting sights (capital Las Palmas 25 min., 40 min south of tourism) to reach. In Tenteniguada located next to two restaurants, two quaint village pubs, a supermarket, a butcher, pharmacy, a bank, not to mention still a real "mom and pop" village shop. Is thus well catered for purchases of daily necessities. An hourly bus to Telde ensures connection to the well-developed public transport system."CASA LA CALA" the perfect place for relaxation and peaceful tranquility

Ein superschönes historisches kleines Haus mit allem Komfort für einen entspannten Urlaub. Die Lage ist unglaublich, ganz zentral im Ort und doch so versteckt, dass man nur von den Vögeln im dazugehörigen Garten geweckt wird. 2 Sitzplätze am Haus laden dazu ein den Zilpzalp an den Blüten beim Kaffee zu beobachten. Die Vermieter sind äußerst hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen und Problemen. Für Wanderfreunde ist dieses Haus ein Geheimtipp. Das Bergpanorama beginnt direkt hinter dem Ort. Es gibt wunderschöne endemische Pflanzen in den Bergen. Die Blüte der Tajinaste Azul ist unbeschreiblich schön.Herzlichen Dank für eine unvergessliche Woche.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt im Winter 2025

Dem nasskalten deutschen Grau entronnen lebte ich Anfang Feb. 2025 für einige sonnige Tage in dieser kleinen Wohnung, die nicht nur in einem schönen Tal liegt, sondern alle Annehmlichkeiten hat, die man sich als Gast wünschen kann: ein top Badezimmer, einen rustikalen Aufenthaltsraum mit Couch, TV und voll ausgestatter Küche - und ein gemütliches Schlafzimmer mit gutem Doppelbett. Zusätzlich dibt es eine Art Schlafboden mit weiteren Schlafmöglichkeiten. Des weiteren gibt es einen wunderbaren kleinen Garten mit mehreren Sitzplätzen, sodaß man sowohl im Winter/Frühling als auch im heißen Sommer immer den richtigen Aufenthaltsplatz wählen kann. Den - unverzichtbaren - Mietwagen kann man bequem auf der Straße in ca, 50m Distanz parken. Das Vermieterpaar ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit - praktischerweise wohnen sie gleich nebenan und sind daher so gut wie immer kontaktierbar. Die Anreise war optimal beschrieben, die Kommunikation per Handy klappte reibungslos. Ich habe die Tage in Tenteniguada durchweg sehr genossen und kann dieses Angebot durchweg empfehlen.

Toller Urlaub

Es war ein wundervoller Urlaub, in einer tollen Ferienwohnung (kleines Haus), wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Erwartungen wurden sogar noch übertroffen. Die Lage und das Umfeld ist schon eine Reise wert. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr hilfsbereit. Der Wäscheservice sit sensationel. Wir werden wieder kommen. Leider geht es im nächsten Jahr noch nicht.

wunderschöne Oase

Wir haben uns sehr wohl in dem gemütlichen und liebevollem eingerichteten Häuschen gefühlt. Der kleine Ort ist nicht touristisch aber es gibt einen Laden zum Einkaufen und ein paar Meter entfernt eine kleine Bar wo man auch essen kann. Es gibt diverse Wanderungen direkt vom Ort aus. Wir würden immer wieder gerne kommen.

Eine Oase :)

Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in dem kleinem niedlichem Haus. Es ist bezaubernd und der Garten eine Oase der Ruhe. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und der Ort hat einen kleinen Supermarkt in dem man alles für den täglichen Bedarf erhält. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, Informationen liegen bereit und auch eine Erfrischung zum ankommen. Besonders toll fand ich den Wäscheservice :) Direkt im Ort starten ein paar Wanderrouten, für alle Ambitionen. Immer wieder gern!

Wunderbarer Urlaub

Wir haben uns in dem Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat eine traumhafte Lage mit Blick in die schöne Berglandschaft. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin wohnt nebenan und ist sehr gastfreundlich. Es hat jedoch jeder seinen Bereich für sich und man ist völlig ungestört. Von dort aus kann man wunderschöne Ausflüge in die Berge und die kleinen spanischen Städte machen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall dort wieder hinfahren.

Good times in a historic home

Renee and Hans are marvellous hosts and have created a wonderfully atmospheric home away from home. Tenteniguada is a great base to explore the stupendous interior as well as the northern coast. There is nice hiking in the Valsequillo area as well. We found good supermarkets in San Mateo, and the cheapest gas on the island! Renee will do a laundry and it does dry in a couple of days. The shower gets hot but the water cools when doing the dishes. Despite the cool in the house, we slept well under the warm blankets.

Home from home

Lovely place in a quiet location, everything you need is all to hand, Renne the owner is a lovely person and will help and advise on whatever you may need, walking maps for the area are available, public transport is pretty good and the local bar / grill is a friendly place with good fresh homemade food using local produce, the local Spa store has most things you need including a meat counter and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, the views from the garden are the icing on the cake for what is a little gem.

Beautiful quiet retreat in the countryside

Had a wonderful stay in Tenteniguada, perfect if you want some where quiet to relax, great local pub up the road and scenic walks nearby, the property itself has everything you need. Very comfortable and stunning scenery. We hired a car and it was easy to explore the local areas, getting to the beaches and more touristy spots doesn’t take long. Great hidden gem!

14 Tage die Seele baumeln lassen!

Eine Ferienwohnung zum wohlfühlen Frau Van Den Bosch hat mit viel Liebe zum Detail eine Wohlfuehl-Insel geschaffen. Alles was man braucht, Ruhe und der Garten mit Aussicht ein Genuss für die Seele. Danke! Noch ein Tipp: Denken Sie daran, dass Sie auf 800 Meter Höhe sind.

An amazing find

What an amazing little find, the property was lovely just right for our needs. The welcome pack of wine, water, fruit and home made jam ( delicious ) was a nice touch. Renee was available next door if needed, gave us good advice about getting food on our first night. Walks around the area well signposted and locals in the bars/restaurant were very friendly. A lovely relaxing week, sometimes we just sat in the garden, reading, enjoying the sun and the occasional beer

Idyll in den Bergen

Sehr schöne, rustikale Unterkunft mit wirklich tollem Garten und vielen liebevollen Details sowie Meerblick. Insbesondere gegeignet für Wanderfreunde und Ruhesuchende, der Ort ist sehr klein. Einen kleinen Spar gibt es, das Restaurant hat aber nur am Wochenende geöffnet. Wer nicht in Bars essen möchte kann aber gut selber kochen. Die Vermieterin wohnt nebenan und ist fast immer erreichbar. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. War eine schöne kleine Ausszeit.

Gezellig vakantiehuis met een zeer warme uitstraling.

Mooi verblijf gehad in deze fraai verbouwde boerderij. Heerlijke bedden en douche. Met de auto zit je overal in korte tijd. De zee op een halfuurtje en wandelingen in overvloed overal om je heen. Dikke aanrader! Tot een volgende keer. Ron vd Berg

Gemütliches Häuschen mit traumhaftem Blick

Das Haus hat uns prima gefallen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben die wunderbare Ruhe und den tollen Blick in die Berge genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Ort ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern. Man ist aber auch in ca. 30 Minuten an einem schönen Strand. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
