About this property
Cozy 2-bdrm dogs-welcome cabin w/ hot tub in private riverfront setting
This rustic, hand-milled cabin is perfect for your Mt. Rainier getaway. Situated 5 miles from the Nisqually Entrance (open year-round), you're never far from adventure. Perfect for 4 adults, featuring 1 bedroom and 1 bedroom w/ loft, both with queen beds. A fully-equipped kitchen with a vintage gas range will keep you fueled for all your activities. Soak in the new hot tub that's tucked away in a private grotto. Up a private drive on over 2.5 acres with a private trail to the Nisqually River.
The space
Book your winter/spring Mt. Rainier getaway now! Cozy up by the fireplace with a book, or take a dip in the hot tub after a day of hiking or just wrap up in a blanket and watch the mist move over the mountains!
This cabin was built with hand-milled trees from this very lot! You’ll have the place to yourself with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a dining room with plenty of space for 4.
The living room contains 2 armchairs and a couch that will fit 3. There is a tv with a connected Chromecast. This open space has a stove to keep you cozy and warm. It also has a desk if you need to work while you’re away.
There are two bedrooms, both of which have doors that close. The main bedroom features a queen-sized bed and sleeps 2.
The second bedroom features a loft with a queen bed and sleeps two. The loft bedroom requires that you climb a ladder to get into bed and is not suitable for young children or individuals who may have trouble getting up and down the ladder.
Between both bedrooms is a full bathroom with a shower (no tub).
The cabin is situated on just over 2 acres. Just steps from the kitchen you'll find a hot tub tucked away in a fern and rock grotto for ultimate privacy.
Guest access
You will have the place to yourself, it’s secluded with very few neighbors. There are neighbors on the same street. You’ll also have access to the covered parking. Guests will not have access to the basement, sheds, or garages.
Other things to note
SAFETY: This is a wonderful cabin for your next getaway, but we do encourage you to keep in mind that the loft bedroom has a ladder to get into the bed. This ladder could be a hazard to anyone, but especially young children or individuals with mobility restrictions.
NONREFUNDABLE BOOKINGS: These bookings are not refundable and cannot be altered or rescheduled. Please confirm your dates before booking.
WINTER BOOKINGS (NOV-APR): please come prepared for snow. We do plow our private drive, but this can’t always be done immediately after it snows. We recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles and traveling with chains (these are required in MRNP), a shovel, and other necessary supplies for snowy conditions. Mt. Rainier National Park is open year round, at the Nisqually entrance (5 miles from the cabin!).
SUMMER BOOKINGS (MAY-OCT): Our property does not have air conditioning. We do provide box fans for bedroom windows to help cool the cabin at night for more comfortable sleeping.
POWER OUTAGES: Ashford is a rural area. Power outages are common during the winter due to above-ground power lines and lots of trees. We have basic supplies to keep our guests safe and warm, because of this we do not offer refunds for power outages during guest stays. Internet outages do happen from time to time, but are usually quickly resolved.
HOT TUB: Our team comes M/W/F to treat the hot tub.
This property has exterior security cameras.
Service animals and dogs welcome, but must be disclosed at the time of booking. Additional fee for pets does apply.

About the host
Hosted by Kimberly N.

Hi! I'm Kimberly. I've lived in the PNW my entire life, moving to the Seattle area about 15 years ago. I still love exploring the area and appreciating all of the natural wonders the area has to offer. I'm enjoying hosting visitors from all over the world.
Why they chose this property
This cabin is unlike any other! It's tucked away up a private driveway and it feels like you're the only cabin for miles. Take in the views, watch wildlife, listen to the sound of the river rushing by... It's an incredible experience. Plus, you're only 5 miles from the Nisqually entrance of Mt. Rainier.
