My Sea Shack~ 1 minute to beach, SH Club access, golf cart

Let "My Sea Shack" be your home away from home while you recharge your mind, body and soul on our island oasis, North Captiva! We are an unspoiled, low-key tropical paradise off the coast of Southwest Florida. This means that our beaches are uncrowded, and tourists and traffic are just a mainland memory!  Leave your car and your cares at the marina because this island is only accessible by water taxi, boat or private aircraft.


Each day, after exploring our paradise (by provided golf cart), let this spacious property welcome you back. Our new stilt home was built in 2018 and is ready to meet all your vacation needs! It features 2 bedrooms and a pull-out couch which will comfortably sleep 6. The master’s over-sized king bed will provide a nightly hug and a warm place to dream. Not tired quite yet...put on some tv and fall asleep while watching your favorite show on the flat screen. The 2nd bedroom can accommodate 3 people eaily with a comfy queen bed and twin. This room also has a flat screen making it a little easier for guests or little ones to doze off. In the morning, start your day off with your cup of coffee or tea on our sprawling deck. Relax and unwind in this comfortable home away from home!


Spend your days on our beaches or stay as busy as you’d like with four on-island restaurants, two bars,  kayak rentals, fishing charters, private chefs, cabana rentals, craft making opportunities, bicycle rentals, sunset cruises and our favorite - island hopping charters! My Sea Shack also comes with resort like amenities…take a dip in the community pool, play a game of tennis, enjoy priority seating at Safety Harbor’s restaurant -> On The Water or bring your private boat and have access to a boat slip (small daily fee applies). What makes this property TRULY SPECIAL though is the fact that it is only a 2-minute walk to Safety Harbor’s private beach entrance. This beach is so secluded, you will feel like you are on your own private beach.

HOW TO GET TO THE ISLAND AND HOUSE
Island Girl Charters has a ferry that runs from Pine Island to North Captiva. At the marina, you can leave your vehicle there. The boat crew will load up your luggage and groceries onto the ferry and you will be on your way..the actual ride is only about 20 minutes long. Many times you will see dolphins trailing behind as you make your way to the island. 
Upon arriving at the Safety Harbor drop off, our conceirge service will pick you up and load your belongings onto a trailer. If this is the first time, they will be happy to give you a quick tour before taking you to the house. The conceirge service will also take you back to Safety Harbor upon departure.

Great Location

My Sea Shack had everything we needed. It was conveniently located mid-island, which meant great accessibility to the beach and the pool. Leila responded quickly when we had questions.

North Captiva gem

Wow! This property was perfect for our family. It was very clean! Property owner was very responsive during our week at the property.We loved our stay and can not say enough good things about this place. We would definitely stay again in the future and hope to soon! Great location on the island and it even has an outdoor shower which was perfect for rinsing off sandy kids after a day at the beach!

Amazing Property!

We had the best time! The house is comfortable, very clean and well appointed with everything you need for a beach vacation. The hosts are super responsive and Sarah w/the concierge service was amazing! The beach is only a quick golf cart ride away and the island itself is relaxing and peaceful. Cannot wait to visit again!!

Perfect first stay

Everything was as described, great communication from the initial reservation through our stay. All recommendations for groceries etc were great. On island concierge was accommodating when our travel issues caused a delay in our arrival. House was beautiful with everything we needed for a week of downtime.

Wonderful place

The house is very nicely appointed and beautifully maintained. The location is terrific: steps from the beach and pool. The island is amazingly quiet and peaceful. Hurricane recovery is ongoing but did not detract from our enjoyment at all. This is one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever visited and would love to be back.

Great stay at My Sea Shack!

We loved our stay! Leila was very helpful with all details and communicated with us throughout the week to be sure everything was going well. We have stayed in multiple homes on North Captiva and were very impressed by the fully stocked kitchen, quality of linens, and number of little “extras” they provided. House is also conveniently located close to the pool and beach access.

Fantastic location to get away!

The location is great. Beautiful screened in porch to watch the storms or hang out with a coffee. Easy to get around the island on the cart. Beds are super comfortable. Tv and wifi work great and kitchen supplied with everything you’d need! We loved the feel of getting away from civilization for a week. Definitely will be back and rent again!

Perfect!

This was our 5th time to the island and this is a 10/10 property. We really enjoyed our stay here even though it was cut short due to hurricane Helene. Leila was more than accommodating before, during and after our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you Leila for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at My Sea Shack! It was perfect for our family of four. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. She sent a message as soon as we booked with information on booking our charter, groceries, fun things to do on the island, etc. The house is very comfortable, clean, and is in a great location to enjoy everything on the island. Great family getaway!

Perfect place to get away and enjoy time on the beach without the crowds. Location truly is great; made it easy to hop between going to the beach and the pool, which the kids couldn't get enough of either one. The house is well equipped, just as described, which made packing much easier. Beds were very comfortable. The owners were easy to communicate with and provided us with great information about getting to the island, what to expect, and what to do on the island. We had a great time and would love to go back!

Perfect Family Getaway

We had such an amazing time! This place was perfect for us. It was clean, spacious, and packed with all the amenities we needed, even a pack n play! We were a short walk from the beach and a short golf cart ride from restaurants, other beaches, and docks. The island was still in the process of cleaning up from the hurricane, but this did not take away from its beauty. We can’t wait to come back and see it fully restored!

A sweet retreat!!

We had a wonderful time visiting Upper Captiva and staying at My Sea Shack!! The house was stocked with everything we needed and more and had plenty to do for the kids (age 6, 9, and 10). The beds are super comfy! And the location was great; close to safety harbor, boats and fun, mangos, and the BEACH!! My family and I had an amazing vacation and we couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Perfectly Situated

This was our 4th visit to this beautiful island and even though it was battered by the hurricane it was not broken. You can see how this island is loved and how proud they are of their clean up efforts. My Sea Shack was perfectly located close to the pool, beach and Mangos. What more can you ask for? Our accommodations were clean, comfortable and everything you could need or want. We slept like stones every night and we’re ready for sunny summer days. Would stay here again in an instant, it’s beautiful.

Beautiful Island Paradise

The Seashack is a very clean and well maintained property. Beth, the housekeeper was very friendly and made sure everything was cleaned from top to bottom. We especially loved the screened in porch and all the little extra amenities included with the rental. The decor was lovely and the beds super comfortable. Deborah, the manager and her family (Chris, Kale, Sarah, and even little Graham) were very attentive and helpful. We truly appreciated their assistance when it was needed. Aaron, Leila, and Jeff, Safety Harbour's manager, were also very friendly and helpful. It is obvious how much this island means to all of them. In spite of the construction and clean up from Hurricane Ian, the island is a true tropical paradise. We loved walking the beach, searching for shells, exploring the island on the golf cart, visiting the manatees, and watching the dolphins. From sunrise to sunset, this island delivers it all! It is an added bonus to be able to use the swimming pool and tennis court. Thank you for a much needed soul restoration at your beautiful property!

Perfect Getaway

The entire experience of renting My Sea Shack was incredible. The host was clear and immediate with her communication, answering any and all of our questions even before booking the home. The on island contact made unpacking from the dock easy and it was a smooth transition into the rental as well. The home was even better in person than online, and extremely clean. Plenty of room for our family of 6. There is a wonderful grass area that our kids enjoyed playing in outside the home, attracting turtles and bunnies as well. The beach was a short golf cart ride away and the pool was even closer, and always clean without too many people in it. All in all a really wonderful experience.

Amazing island hideaway!

This home is a must book! Every detail and item we could possibly ever need was given and made the trip perfect! It is a beautiful home in a very quiet isolated part of the island. This home and island has it all. From snorkeling, fishing, boating, flying around in a seaplane off the private runway on the island, and for the days you just want to relax and unwind. You will not find a better home or owners to rent from for your vacation away to recharge.
