Nice house with great lake access. Spacious and quiet. Needs more reserve TP, fluffier pillows and the wood on the deck and steps to the lake are in need of repair. Overall great place for a family.
We stay out of town for work a lot and have rented other properties in the area. This place was amazing. It was clean, had all of the amenities and a great location!
This was a perfect place to stay for team of friends that needed a comfortable place to stay to unwind feom the day's events. The games room allowed for team bonding and the kitchen and dining space was a perfect size for everyone.

Thanks Lora. Your group was great and hope you come back soon!
The property is fantastic, it is right on the water and easy to travel to. We have used it multiple times and will be back. Wouldn’t mind an additional bunk bed but still lots of room.
Our family had a wonderful stay! The house was well-equipped and we all had fun playing in the lake. The only downside other than there being no AC was that there was a bad smell outside in the evenings. Even with the smell issue we would stay here again as the rest of our stay was great.
We had a great time. The house is centrally located to a couple golf courses - important to son and grandson. The house is located directly on a small, picturesque lake. There were plenty of bedrooms, nice living room with lake views, play room, decent kitchen. It worked excellent for us, would love to stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay! It's a great house with lot's of room. The owner was very responsive and communicative before and during our stay. Love the kitchen and all of the storage. There were some very minor things that kept this from being a 5 star rating all around but I have communicated them to the Owner and would still recommend this property. We will definitely return!

Thanks for your feedback - it is extremely valuable for us and helps us constantly strive to improve. You were an amazing guest and very respectful of everything. Would love to have you back soon!
My bridal party stayed here, and there was so much room for make up, changing, and all other activities. One lady had a small child and took particular delight in the closet full of toys. DJ is very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this VRBO!!
We had a good stay. There were little things that need to be fixed/addressed but overall everything was great. It rained most of our stay so we weren’t able to enjoy anything outside. Plenty of room and activities to do inside though, so it was fine. We would stay here again.
Cute place with amazing views of the lake and plenty of room for our family of 9. Our kids loved the game in the lower level and kayaking on the lake.
Just one questionable black spot on the ceiling of the shower downstairs.

Thanks for your review Christie. We’d love to host you all again. The black spot seems to be from a tiny water leak - will take care of it asap.
We had a great visit with family here! Location is perfect & we had beautiful weather for being out on the lake throughout the day! House was very clean, furnishings new & DJ was a very responsive host. Although we were happy to have sun during our visit, the only downside was that people were awoken very early as the window shades throughout the house are rather sheer & the sun off the lake illuminated the house. Curtains in the bedrooms & bonus room or more opaque shades would easily solve this. All in all, we had a lovely weekend at the lake house!

Thanks Jane for your feedback. Glad you all had a good time. Would be wonderful to have you over again
There are so many things to love about this rental. Located in the quiet town of Shelton, this house has beautiful views, easy lake access, is well equipped and nicely updated. The mattresses and linens are top quality. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and small appliances (Instant Pot, rice cooker, egg poacher, etc.) The fireplace provides nice ambiance and the game room is perfect for night time or rainy day entertainment. There are 2 kayaks to use on the lake. We brought SUPs and fished too. You can enjoy the view from the firepit or up on the deck as well. We had lunches out back on the picnic tables and appreciated having the grill to use. This house has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Only a few small things to be addressed that kept it from being 5 stars but the owners are super responsive and have been wonderful to deal with as well. We will definitely return.

Let me just start by saying DJ the host was extremely prompt and Johnny on the spot with all my questions and concerns. Upon arrival, we did a walk around the house to check for broken items etc. That’s my norm. I don’t need any surprises. I checked all bathrooms and there was no tissue paper in all 3 restrooms. I informed DJ and he had insta-carted some and we received within a few hours. No problem. In the bedroom upstairs the rolling blind was broken so my son fixed it after taking it down and reassembling it. There was also a broken blind in the dining room. We left that one down as we didn’t want to bother with it. Having seven adults showering every day and swimming, there was a lot of laundry to do. In the post it stated there was a washer and dryer upstairs as well as one downstairs. When I went to do laundry upstairs, there was stickers on the washer and dryer saying do not use out of order. That was a little frustrating, taking all the laundry from upstairs to the downstairs washing machine and dryer. I went to put the first load of laundry into the washing machine and it was acting a little fussy when I was pressing the button, but got it to run. When it was time to dry in the downstairs dryer, you have to slam the door shut and then push on the door again and then push the button to get it started. It was a serious chore to do laundry but nonetheless got it done. The outside in the back is seriously amazing! The water felt so good as it was so incredibly hot.
Beautiful lakefront home with all the amenities to make for a pleasant stay. Quick responses from the property manager if anything is needed. Just one side note, the home is now white instead of red, the information provided for arrival has photos of a red house. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay again when back in the area.
We rented the home for a high school graduation celebration for my son with friends and family. The home is very comfortable and well equipped. The location on the lake was perfect. We brought two canoes and a john boat and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed playing on the lake. We saw turtles jumping off of logs into the lake, geese with their little ones, Eagles swooping down for their daily meals. Just beautiful! Though we did not bring fishing poles we saw many other people catching fish. The lakeside firepit was a hit also.
Don't be fooled by the front of the home - the back side is all remodeled and open to the lake! Great job updating an older home. We enjoyed the rec room with reclining sofa.
Very lovely property. Lots of space for play and games. Well appointed kitchen .
This home was perfect for our family annual gathering of 6 adults and four young children. Pretty view and places to sit by water. Large spaces for gathering and play. The table with
table tennis, pool and air hockey was a big hit. Children enjoyed toys and games that were there. Everything seemed brand new and very clean! We highly recommend this home.

Thanks Sharon and group - you folks were awesome and we are very glad you spent Thanksgiving in our house. Glad that you had a great time. Welcome back anytime!
Our family enjoyed our stay at DJ’s roomy place on Island Lake. DJ was responsive and accommodating. The view from this spacious home is gorgeous looking over water! The sunrises were spectacular and could be viewed from large windows in the main living room/dining room, both upstairs and downstairs bedrooms, downstairs game room, as well as the deck. The kitchen was well equipped and the laundry facilities came in very handy since we were traveling with children. The home was very clean. We’ll certainly plan on staying at this beautiful property again next tome we’re visiting family in the area. Hopefully in the summer when we can enjoy swimming in the lake.
