Quaint house in a very convenient location! The location was perfect for where I needed to go while in Columbia. My main complaint was the cleanliness of the property. The water in the shower runs brown when initially turned on & the downstairs toilet wasn’t flushed from prior use the day I checked in. But you get what you pay for & the price was better than the other properties around the area. If you’re looking for a roof over your head then this’ll be perfect for you; if you’re looking for luxury, not so much.
This was a great place to stay for a night or two while we were in town for a football game. Close to the stadium so we could uber. On par with most properties in Columbia as far as cleanliness and being updated. I’m not one to message the host a bunch, but he let me know he was there if we needed anything. Check in/out was very easy.

The host was great. The duplex was dirty including dirty dishes in the cabinets and in the dishwasher. The neighbors were noisy and had a dog that whined most of the night. The backyard is a disaster. We had to leave a day early and the host didn’t even offer to refund that day for us. I wouldn’t stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. We were there for a basic training graduation, but took a walk to the nearby park and it has an amazing skate park and lots of cool stuff, so families could stay entertained there. Owner was very helpful and reachable
Trip to enjoy time with our college student. Easy access to all the local sites. Apt is in a quite community. Allen very responsive. Apt is roomy and had what we need.
Nice place. I would agree with other reviews on the bed. It is not comfortable and the pillows were not great either. It was nice that it was on a dead-end road. If you bring a pet, there is a park across the street.
It's wasn't very clean, mold on the floors, the water for the shower runs brown for a second or two, the dishes were quite dirty, the couch is ripped in areas making it hard to sleep on it(pictures on the site showed the couch in good condition). The house is very cute and homey just has some problems. Over all nice stay for what we intended

This place was clean because you could smell cleaning agents, however, we did not feel it was a clean space. The listing was deceiving. The couch was torn and no area rug. I guess it was priced for what it was.

Easy Going Columbia, SC
We enjoyed relative privacy and adequate accommodations. House is a duplex and showing signs of age and wear. Kitchen adequately equipped and in working order. May have had critters nesting in the attic space one night. Check out instructions not provided.

Looked way better online.
The couch nor the bed was comfortable. Was not stocked with basic stuff you would expect like paper towels and linens. Pillows could use to be replaced. Location was OK but overall, I would not stay there again.
No door to the loft bed room upstairs. Listing did not make it clear there was no door to the bed room.
Second pull out bed from couch is low budget uncomfortable.

Not as pictured
It was a cute place that had great potential; however, it needed upgrading. It needs painting, cleaning, a new couch (it was ripped), more lighting (lamps), etc. The linens were thrown on the floor in the closet, the soap in the bathroom was watered down instead of new, the dishes and the cabinet liners looked dirty, and the ice maker in the freezer did not work. Due to this, we went and bought paper plates and utensils and our own soap. There was also a dirty sock under the bed that was not ours. I would not stay here again.
Beyond unacceptable! Disgusting! Not a vacation home.. By any means!!
Very musty smell..dead bugs,dirt,dust,
hair everywhere. Door doesn't close, huge gap. Plan on making dinners there? Dishes & utensils are dirty with food still on them in the cupboards. Go buy your own paper/plastic cups dinnerware. Don't think about using the stove or oven, beyond filth. Be afraid to put your luggage anywhere as there isn't a clean spot to put it. Wanna relax on the couch? Nah.. huge peeling area on the futon that is extremely uncomfortable, blanket placed over it so you can sit comfortably with your dog you left at home as the blankets were covered in dog hair and food. Bed linens & extra blankets dirty. Water comes out brown in shower & you're standing in 3in of it since the drain clogged & be careful as it's slippery as heck. Make sure you use that one washcloth sparingly and grab a towel that one would usually dry their car with. Your feet are filthy from the floors but no worries as there are mops and cleaners to clean the place. Noticed fridge not cooling food bought, & freezer not freezing. Notified host & told to "reset it" unplug a regular fridge. Asked us to stay so tech can come next day 1-4pm couldn't so he gave tech door code, part more than fridge so nothing done. Tech said fine.. um no! Makes thin layer of ice. But sorry your ice cream melted per host. Already tossed rest of food bought.host could care less. Last day... cockroaches on kitchen floor.. we're the hell outta there!! Host informed.. excuses made but pics taken! Go elsewhere!!
Townhouse was nice, had to leave early unfortunately . But enjoyed the spac, very nice.

Good for short stay near USC/Williams Brice
The location is on a dead end street and tucked away. It is right near the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery (Curtis Wright Hangar) and just down the street there’s Owens Field Park. It was good for a short few night stay for visiting UofSC and talking in a football game. It is clean and well maintained, with some light signs of wear. The neighborhood is a bit older and the pictures don't really depict the surroundings - this is not a problem, it was just different than imagined.
We did wake up on second/ our last day to water dripping in the downstairs from the looks of the ceiling had some prior water damage. We contacted the host and Allen was immediately responsive to get this resolved for next visitors. A few small convenience item we did not travel with are not on the property - hair dryer and bathroom soap in the shower. Good stay for our purpose. Thank you.
