The apartment was in a prime location near the Nice Historic district and wonderful dining options. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Bonus that the laundry also included a dryer and the AC worked well. I would definitely stay here again next time we visit Nice.

The key to enter the appartement after going up 4 levels with luggages in the heat was the wrong one, AC in master room was not working and didn’t the whole stay (keep in mind this was during the heat wave in Europe). Fob to enter the building was not working which made us cancel our dinner reservation for the first night which was made months in advance as there would be no way for us to enter late at night. This stay was a disaster.

We enjoyed our stay in Nice at this location. We had some nice views from the balcony, especially at sunset. It was walking distance to many key places. It’s fairly easy to get around the city. The apartment had all of the required amenities. The apartment could a little fixing (ie. some cupboard finishings were coming apart, etc.). For the locations and the price, we would recommend this place. We also lots of space for our family of 4. The hosts were also responsive. The only downfall, is having to go to a different location to collect and return the keys. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the actual apartment.

Fantastic property that was just as the listing indicated. Perfect location for our family, close to shops, transit and the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Unit was great, as advertised, spacious with views on two sides. Only downside - the internet speed is very fast but does not reach as far as the master bedroom. The reason for the three star is the host. When we booked, we were surprised to receive an request for payment directing us to pay on SmartBNB's own site, rather than VRBO. Since VRBO cautions against this, we contacted VRBO voice helpline. The VRBO agent informed us that Smartbnb had an agreeement with VRBO that let SmartBNB assume responsiblity. SmartBNB responses to queries still come through VRBO, but links and forms all go to the SmartBNB site. They respond quickly, but with generic responses that refer to links that do not contain promised info. No in instruction book in unit (where do I put the recycling)? The worst part is check-in. Although it is a keyless entry, the lockbox with the key is a 7 minute walk away at their office. I was only informed of this with the instructions that come just a few days before arrival. Would not have taken the unit with full info. The walk can be challenging if you are pulling checked bags in addition to carry on, or if it is raining. Same required walk to return the key on check out - almost didn't make my morning flight. Prior wording was vague, implying you could use the unit mail box at the foot of the stairs - clarity only came with final checkout instructions.
