I highly recommend Winterfell Lodge. Its everything I look for in a mountain getaway, fantastic view, great hot tub, well equipped kitchen, great spaces to hang out, very private, yet close to restaurants and shopping as well as trails and nature.
The property was just as advertised. All the amenities were in good condition. Plus the view is amazing! Sitting by the fire table, grilling on the deck, watching the sunset… perfect.

Steven, thank you for your kind review. I am thrilled to hear you were so pleased with your stay at Winterfell Lodge! Thank you for staying with us, and you are welcome back anytime!
We absolutely loved our stay at this home. It was really clean and well stocked . We had everything we needed for cooking . It was an easy drive to all of our day trips to Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mtn. The sunsets from the deck, hot tub and fire pit are the best. We highly recommend staying here for a memorable family vacation!

Thank you so much for sharing! We are thrilled whenever a guest has a great time and enjoys the home.
The long range views are incredible in the cabin. The floor plan is well thought out and we loved how everything was labeled for ease of use (even light switches). The cabin has all the basic items needed for an enjoyable stay. The mattresses in each bedroom are all pretty firm so if you’re accustomed to sleeping on a pillow top mattress it’s an adjustment. We rent several cabins a year and this one had the best privacy of any so far! We loved it!

We are grateful for the rating/review. We hope to welcome you back to our home again in the very near future.
The truth is that we were delighted, it has a lot of space, very pretty and a beautiful view, everything as in the photos, we really enjoyed being there, the hot tub is very large, we were able to enjoy it as a family since there were 4 of us. We slept very well, the beds are very comfortable. and it is very well equipped with everything you need.

Thank you so much for sharing. Guest feedback is so integral in providing the very best experience possible for our valued customers. Its our fondest hope to see you again, sooner rather than later.
We had a wonderful family vacation. We would have liked having more than one tub on the main floor rather than the full bath in one of the bedrooms. The location of the house was great. We really enjoyed the fire pits. There were some cleanliness issues which if corrected, we would definitely consider returning To Winterfell Lodge!
The house is located in a really neat area with incredible views of the mountains. A few small issues - we could not find the trash cans, the dishwasher was full of dishes when we got in, the oven was dirty and smoked when we used it, the security system beeped on and off for reasons unclear, and the screen doors on the lower level were a little banged up. Those small issues aside, would recommend the cabin particularly if you want to be close to Blowing Rock, etc.
We enjoyed our stay at Winterfelles Lodge. The views were stunning. The fire pit and hot tub were lovely and the large windows in the living room all had such great views. The house was clean and nicely stocked with some fun activities and a decently stocked kitchen. Drive into blowing rock is quick and easy. The neighborhood is very quiet and a little isolated. You can get groceries delivered if in a pinch. We would definitely stay again.

Thank you so much for sharing. We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time and its our fondest hope to have you as our guest again. hopefully sooner rather than later.
The Timber Rock neighborhood is beautiful and Winterfell Lodge is a very attractive cabin with an amazing view. However, during our stay in late October there was a bug infestation inside the cabin and around the porches and deck. There were several species of bugs, some of which were biting insects. There were multiple flies buzzing around the window sills inside the cabin. We had to contact the property managers several times before they sent someone to spray. Since the bug situation did not improve, we asked for a reimbursement to try and find other accommodations to salvage our vacation. They finally agreed to reimburse us for one night of our 3 night stay. I would expect a company in the hospitality business to be more responsive and concerned about the comfort and safety of their customers.

We welcome all feedback, both positive and negative. In this case your review is slightly out of context. We do apologize that you experienced anything that would take away from your stay. As we explained at the time unseasonably warm days will awaken certain insects out of hibernation. Cluster flies are one of those insects. We did in fact respond to your notifications. Notifying us on the second day of a 2 night stay really hampers and limits our options which is why we ask that anything amiss in the home be reported within 2 hours of arrival. A technician was dispatched to take photos and to spray that day you called. We are very customer service oriented and we are very good at what we do. After assessing what the technician found a substantial refund was immediately processed that very day. You did have to reach out on more than one occasion. The manager on for that day terminated the call based on the tone and demeanor of your call. Again we are very customer oriented and our reviews and scores bear that fact out. We stand by our responses as well as our efforts to correct this situation.
Beautiful place and views. The household day to day supplies are limited so you’ll need to supplement. Very clean! Great experience!
