About the host
Hosted by Maria

I grew up in the Miami Valley region and I love this area and the season changes! I have always enjoyed culture and the arts, interior design and hosting friends and family in my personal home! Deciding to become a host was a natural extension of my love to design spaces that someone would enjoy living in! I try to do my best to upgrade, and add new amenities that I think guests would enjoy during their stay.
Why they chose this property
I love that the Italian cottage is close to Englewood Metropark, and walking distance to Wellfield park, where there's a beautiful pond! If you're an early riser its also nice to see the sun come up on the back patio, or through the living room windows, especially in the winter when the leaves have fallen. Even though you are close to nature, it's so nice to have close access to countless restaurants, grocery stores or get on I-70 and you're downtown Dayton in 20 minutes! Planet fitness, the YMCA, and the brand new Englewood Library are all within a 3 minute drive as well!
What makes this property unique
The cottage has all of the coziness and elements and charm of an older home with the original hardwood floors that have been brought to life again, and the cool stucco on the exterior of the home, and the Italian Villa design of the exterior, but the modern amenities and conveniences of a newer home!
The cottage backs up to Englewood Metro park giving the feeling of being in the woods at the back of the home, while at the same time having close access to everything in Englewood and the nearby towns.
There were a few homes that were built for the engineers and workers who built the Englewood Dam, which started construction in 1918 and this was one of those homes! Be sure to drive across the dam and check out some of the nearby parks that are surround the dam as well.
