Breathe in the mountain air from the balcony of this studio apartment over the detached garage in a quiet, private neighborhood. Whether an adventure enthusiast or one who simply seeks a restful retreat this cozy hideaway fills the bill. Eight minutes to the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway and ten minutes from Soco Falls, the area abounds with hiking trails, waterfalls, astonishing long range views and wildlife viewing. Fireflies blanket the valley in summer, where elk may be seen foraging in valley pastures at dawn and dusk.
The large studio apartment is designed for function and comfort; with easy year round access it includes a King bed, smart TV, WiFi and charging stations. A restful space with ample light for work or dining at the table and room darkening curtains to assure peaceful sleep. The rustic en-suite bath is equipped with a large shower / tub.
Walk to the famous Joey’s Pancake House for breakfast and take a beverage or meal break later by Jonathan Creek on the deck of Bearwaters Brewing, both a five minute walk. In the evening wander down to Legends bar and grill for Karaoke most nights. Keep your eyes peeled for elk!

Our property has a strict 2-guest maximum policy. If you arrive with more than 2 guests, your reservation will be canceled immediately, and no refund will be issued. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting our guest limit.
European-style stairs: Our stairs are a more traditional European style—steeper and not as deep as standard U.S. stairs. They’re perfectly manageable for most guests, but if you have mobility concerns, these may not be the best fit.
Mountain roads & driveway: We live on a mountain in the mountains, which means the roads aren’t flat and our driveway requires a simple three-point turn when leaving. It’s easy for most vehicles, but if that sounds a bit more than you’d prefer, feel free to check out our other listing, The Barn, which has an easier layout.
For guests traveling with trailers, we offer secure offsite trailer parking by request; just let us know in advance if you need to use this option.

Fun little studio in a very nice area! The leaves in October didn't disappoint- great motorcycle rides everywhere we went. Lots of good restaurant choices close by, and the hosts were great.
Very clean, very comfortable and great area to visit!

We loved the property, it was very clean and welcoming. It felt very homey. The place has everything you would need during your stay. Very friendly hosts and would highly recommend staying here. We come to the area a few times a year and we plan on returning here when we do !!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Studio apartment. The host was very responsive and friendly. The gardens around the locations were well maintained and gorgeous. There were so many places to see and wonderful restaurants very close by. This place is really centrally located to so many attractions and amazing views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a visit.
This place was wonderful! It was super clean and had everything we needed and more. The beds were extremely comfortable and the location was perfect. We walked to Joey’s Pancake house for breakfast and it was a lovely walk. We will definitely be staying here when we come back!
This was perfect for my daughter and I. We visited WCU and went shopping and hiking in the surrounding towns. The owners supplied snacks which were perfect at the end of the day. We had everything we needed, and then some.
We enjoyed our stay… there were all the amenities that you’d need. The host was very nice and accommodating. Close to many things and beautiful views !
We had an amazing time here. This property is undersold if anything. They have appliances like a 2 burner counter top stove, toaster oven, Keurig and hot pot for tea. Everything was stocked and they had snacks laid out. We really enjoyed our stay here!!!

About the host
Hosted by Nancy Nardozzi Falke
We’re a couple from Safety Harbor, Florida, who traded sandy beaches and warm weather for the fresh mountain air and cooler temperatures. After countless stays in hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBOs around the world, we know what makes a stay special. We’re excited to meet fellow travelers and share the same warm hospitality that’s made our own adventures unforgettable!
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it truly has it all: convenience, beauty, and a welcoming feel. Being close to the main road means easy access year-round, with well-maintained, paved roads that are salted and plowed in winter. Plus, we’re within walking distance to great local spots—a brewery, restaurants, and a lovely park. And, of course, the stunning mountain views make it an incredible place to call home and share with our guests!
