Lovely property set in an old farm building, very clean and with everything you need for your stay. Being in a quiet courtyard the outside seating is lovely to use and the property itself is large and comfortable.The host was great, meeting us and showing us around the property, even when we were 4 hours later than planned! The property is perfectly placed for visiting the WW2 sites, with Utah beach about 30 mins away in one direction, and Pegasus Bridge a similar distance the other. For beaches Omaha beach is only 10 minutes drive and is vast! Also note there is a public EV charger in the publuc car park only 50m from the property, while we were there it was always available and reasonably priced.

Perfect for a base in Normandy. Even though we didn't speak French, the check in process was easy as the lovely hosts met us and showed us around. Immaculateoy clean and eveything was there for a comfortable stay. Supermarket a short drive away if required.

Our hosts were lovely and helpful even though we spoke almost no French and they spoke no English. Being able to lock our rental car inside the gate was an added bonus. The yard was quiet and perfect for an impromptu picnic of food purchased in nearby Bayeux. Highly recommend.

Das traditionelle Haus ist modern renoviert, gerade erst auf den Vermietungsmarkt gekommen. Die Betten haben eine gute Matratze. Die Besitzer sind freundlich, hilfsbereit und gleichzeitig zurückhaltend . Ein schöner Weg durch das alte Dorf führt zum (Kieselstein) Strand mit Naturdusche von einem Bach der 5 m in die Tiefe fällt. Restaurant, Café etc. sind alle geschlossen, nur eine teure Tankstelle und ein Schnellimbiss Wagen steht täglich auf dem Parkplatz, eine Bushaltestelle ist vor dem Haus.. Einkaufen mit Auto in Bayeux ( 20 Minuten) kein Problem. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind innerhalb 30 Minuten mit PKW zu erreichen. Im nächsten Dorf Port- en -Bessin Huppain befindet sich ein Fischmarkt, nette Restaurants, Tourist Info, Abendaktivitäten. Zusammengefasst: Aure sur mer ist ein sehr ruhiger Ort, mit Auto super zentral gelegen. Wir 4 Erwachsene haben uns wohl gefühlt und können es weiter empfehlen.
