The lodge is great for weddings, events and family getaways. What People are Saying;
Here are a few kind comments from past Point Au Roche guests:

"The lodge has a very striking appearance inside and out. The location is excellent and close to many activities in both the New York and Vermont sides of Lake Champlain. It is located right across the Point Au Roche State Park"
Aron A.

"As soon as you drive up to the property, you are in awe! The Lodge is absolutely stunning and the mountain views were beautiful! As soon as we walked into the lodge, we were taken away by the beauty of the wood structure, furnishings, and decor!"
Trang N.

"Love this place! Point Au Roche Lodge is our go to place when we're visiting the area. It's like home away from home. Mornings are the best part of the day starting with breakfast and watching the birds."
Tom B.

"What a wonderful get away this was for us. Everyone is so friendly and made us feel very safe and comfortable during our visit. It is located "Far from the Madding Crowd" with balconies overlooking peaceful gardens and birds everywhere. It is also located across from the access road to the State Park hiking trails and beach."
Midge.

Our Bedrooms;
The lodge features 11 unique and inviting rooms for your stay.

The Flower Room features an in-room jacuzzi tub and fireplace, as well as a private deck with Adirondack chairs. This is a corner room with lots of windows, letting the outdoors, nature and morning sunrise shine in. A four poster queen size bed accents the center of the room, perfectly positioned next to the fireplace. The private bath offers dual sinks, a large walk in shower, toilet and bidet.

The Planter, located on the second floor, is the most richly colored room. The space is decorated with elegant burgundy walls, vaulted ceilings, and brick and marble accents on the fireplace, and an in-room jacuzzi really enhance the lush environment. The four-poster, carved, wood queen size bed completes this room perfectly. This corner room offers more windows for viewing the park setting outside and has a deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the front yard into the park. The private bath features a large walk in shower, dual sinks, toilet and bidet.

The Weaver room, located on the first floor, is a south-of-the-border flavored room with a king size bed and hardwood floors. This room features a jacuzzi tub and a cozy corner fireplace. The Weaver is overflowing with soul-warming Mexican flair. Enjoy sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the private deck right outside your room overlooking the front yard into the park. The private bath has dual sinks, stand up shower, toilet and bidet.

The Spinnaker Room is located on the second floor and is a tribute to Lake Champlain with its nautical theme. Enjoy sitting out on the balcony outside the room with Adirondack chairs overlooking the front yard into the park, or relax in the corner jacuzzi tub with the three sided fireplace next to it. The four- poster queen size bed is reminiscent of a picket fence. The private bath features dual sinks, a large walk in shower, toilet and bidet.

Nestled upstairs in a sunny corner of the lodge, the Gardener Room is decorated with shades of green. A queen-sized four-poster wooden bed fits perfectly in this tranquil room. The balcony located directly off the room provides chairs for enjoying a lovely view overlooking the meadow and forest. It's a nice place to sit and watch the birds or the sun set. The private bath offers a shower/tub combo, pedestal sink and toilet.

The Quilter Room, located on the second floor, features a wrought iron king size bed, offers a balcony overlooking the meadow and forest. Relax on the garden chairs outside your room to soak up nature, enjoy a glass of wine or just read a good book. The private bath has a stand alone shower, pedestal sink and toilet.

The Hunter Room, located on the first floor, gives you a warm Adirondack feel, from the barn color queen sized bed and hardwood floors, to the snowshoes and antiquated wooden skis hanging on the walls. The Hunter room offers a private deck with Adirondack chairs. The private bath features a tub/shower combination, pedestal sink and toilet.

The Angler Room is a tribute to the fishermen. With log walls and birch-bark curtain rods, you feel like you're tucked away in your own little log cabin. This room has many windows with views of the meadows and forest. Handicap accessible, the Angler is on the first floor and has the option of the bed being two twin beds or made into a king size bed if desired. The private bath offers a walk in shower, pedestal sink and toilet. *Please specify on your reservation if you would like the bed made into a king size or two twin beds.

Our Great Room;
At the heart of the lodge, the Great Room features a massive raw stone fireplace and enough cozy seating for the whole family. With sky high ceilings, exposed cedar beams, and massive windows looking out on the State Park across the street, the moment you step inside you feel both enchanted and at home.

Our Kitchen;
Sunny and spacious, our professional chef-style kitchen features a butcher block island, commercial grade Viking stove, and stainless steel appliances. We include a coffee maker, microwave, two large refrigerators, toaster, dishware and silverware for your convenience.

Our Gazebo;
Tucked beside the lodge is a large gazebo providing a natural enclosed space full of fresh air. Perfect for game nights, outdoor meals, and a beautiful space to play or do yoga outside on a rainy day.

Our Backyard;
The back of the lodge opens up on a picturesque meadow with wild flowers and walking trails. Bird feeders fill the backyard space so that guests can enjoy watching our local wildlife as the unwind on the back porch.

The Point Au Roche Lodge is surrounded on 3 sides by Point Au Roche State Park. The Park, located on Lake Champlain, offers 12 miles of trails, a sandy beach and picnic area. Lake Champlain less than a mile walk from the Lodge. Plattsburgh is located on Lake Champlain in the northeast part of New York State about 20 miles south the Canadian Border of Quebec. Plattsburgh is rich in history and hosts the Revolutionary War's Battle of Valcour Island and the War of 1812's Battle of Plattsburgh every September.

This lodge represents an immersive trip into the Adirondacks while still maintaining the luxury and comfort of a five star hotel. With quiet walking trails in your own backyard, a beach down the street, and 12 miles of hiking trails, it's impossible not to reconnect with nature while staying here. Five stars are not enough!
Honestly, I wish I could give more stars! This house was exactly as described in the write-up, and then some! The vibe, feel and overall comfort were top notch. (Loved the Himalayan bulbs in the rooms!) There were a total of 21 of us (20 adults and 1 teen). The only place we were on top of each other was the kitchen. Being Italian, there were several cooks at the same time, and we had to move around - but that was our problem for having too many cooks :) We played games, hung out in the great room talking, sat by the fire outside. Went for walks and hikes. The state park is literally across the street with miles and miles of trails to enjoy. The bedrooms were all comfortable and spacious. The third floor bedrooms were the only ‘awkward’ area because one has to pass through part of a bedroom to get upstairs. But that worked for our group. Yuri was wonderful from start to finish. He communicated with me, answered all my pre-stay questions right away. Even during our stay we had to contact him and he was always available. My only request would be to have more pans. I’m sure people can walk away with stuff, and that’s unfortunate. But I knew in advance that we would need larger cooking pans so we brought them. This family getaway was much needed and we look forward to coming back yearly! Thanks for having such a wondeful place!

Very enjoyable stay for large group
This is a former inn, with some remnants of this recent past like an office w/computer/printer/card reader; you can search on Facebook for the name to learn a bit about its history. Tons of space for a large group; there were 14 of us but it could easily have worked for up to 20 or so people. Four of the bedrooms are extra-luxurious with whirlpool baths and bidets, but all are pretty good. Furniture and kitchenware is high quality as you'd expect in a country inn. One drawback: the air conditioning is only in the bedrooms, with window units. The common areas can get stuffy when it's warm (especially the kitchen if you do cooking). The owner should consider getting portable AC units at least for the dining room/game room I think. Tiffanie from Delicious Beauty Catering prepared several group meals for us during the stay, highly recommended!

Awesome space to spread out with a large group.
Great property. Good gathering areas for large numbers, as well as plenty of "quiet" or "private' areas for alone time. Good access to NY and Vermont sites! Loved it. BTW, the property manager was responsive and helpful with any questions. If we do a NY vaca again, would happily come back

We are a young family seeking a deeper connection to nature, one another, and our true selves. Yuri is a former NHL Player with the Arizona Coyote System and is currently an entrepreneur in real estate and leads a nationwide real estate brokerage. Jess is a yoga instructor, stay at home mom, and lifelong learner of the world around her.

Yuri is from Montreal and has been in the US since 2005. Jess is from Ohio and has lived in China, the Netherlands and Texas since 2009. We met in Houston in 2017. Our daughter Rey was born in December 2019 and we decided it was time to focus in on what is most important to us: Being of service to each other, the community, and our Beloved Mother Earth.

We found this pocket of sacred land in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains and knew we were home. We are located near Lake Placid, NY, Montreal, Quebec, Burlington, VT, Ticonderoga, Saratoga Springs, Ottawa, Ontario, and Saranac Lake. This land is abundant with life and opportunity and our intention is to cultivate a space of clarity, connection and compassion.
