Our property IS NOT impacted by the recent news of potentially prohibiting Short Term Rentals (STR) in Maui. Ma'alaea Surf is zoned as a hotel property so is therefore exempt from any of the potential STR regulations being proposed by the County.

Ma'alaea Surf, Unit D09 is s a large 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo with unobstructed ocean views with Kahoolawe and Molokini Crater in the distance situated along Sugar Beach – Maui’s longest beach. It’s a two-story townhouse unit with vaulted ceilings located on the 2nd floor. This unit has a very open feel and offers guests total privacy. The resort offers a large pool with another smaller pool on the property. Along with two shuffleboard courts, two tennis courts with a basketball hoop are just steps from your door.

This stunningly remodeled unit features a fully furnished gorgeous kitchen and is equipped with 3 Fujitsu A/C units, 3 flat screen TVs that include a 75" smart TV & Alexa in the main living area.. Each bedroom includes a king sized bed, closet, dressers with plenty of space and 60” smart flatscreen televisions.

It’s set up perfectly for families with all the equipment you need to enjoy your holiday. The unit is stocked with beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, tennis and pickle ball rackets and balls, a basketball and plenty of games and cards. There is a coin-operated washer/dryer located in building D on the 1st floor, just a quick walk away. The maximum occupancy allowed in this unit is 4.

Enjoy whale watching or Maui's majestic sunsets from your private, spacious lanai. All units at the Ma'alaea Surf Resorts are non-smoking and the upper floors are only accessible by stairs.

Great Location

The property is located right on the water. Location was ideal for us, centrally located. Very nicely decorated and remodeled, fully stocked kitchen. The communication was good and the owners have done a great job of listing all near restaurants around town within Kihei and surrounding areas. The sugar beach cafe bake shop was definitely our favorite just a few steps away.

One of the nicest properties in Kihei.

This is a jewel of a property. Nicely appointed condo on the second floor. Hosts are very accessible and easy to communicate with. These are not high-rise cookie-cutter condos. Great central island location with easy access to the entire island. Will definitely stay here again, if not buy on e in the future.

The place is lovely and in an ideal location. Pools, shuffle board, BEACH! Loved everything about the property. Unfortunately we had to check out early due to a mudslide that made it impossible to stay. Don’t let this keep you away. You’ll love the place!

Beautiful condo, excellent location

Aloha! We really enjoyed this beautiful condo. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were super comfortable. You can't beat the view from the lanai. It is centrally located on the island, and once you get here you will realize how important that is. The compound is so serene and quiet...simply paradise. It's a great location if you're a bird watcher. The owners were always available and I would book this place again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful peaceful retreat

You can tell from the second you arrive at D9 that you are going to make amazing memories. From the beautifully decorated furnishings to the incredible views it could really not get any better. But wait..taking long walks on the sandy beaches, having the clean lovely pool to ourselves, listening to the sounds of the ocean, etc. so I guess it could get better. Thank you Allison and Tony for sharing your home we will definitely be back.

Oceanfront Bliss

We had such a great experience, which made our stay even better. The unit was immaculate, and the condo grounds were beyond our expectations. Our communications with the owner were answered quickly. We didn't have any issues when we stayed. We were granted extra time on the day we checked in and on check out to accommodate our flight times, which was very appreciated. Great time!

This was our second trip to Maui and can’t wait to come back! Here are some pros and cons about this property. PROS: -easy access to the highway -walking distance to a farmers market, bakery, and shave ice (YUM) -amazing sunset views -quiet property, usually had the pool to ourselves -beautiful morning walks -close drive to Kihei and other beaches -comfortable beds and showers. Perfect layout! CONS: -murky water at the shore (still beautiful views, we just didn’t feel comfortable swimming in it) -depending on the direction of the wind there was a very bad smell from a pond/swamp a couple of miles away. We would have to go back inside. All the cons out weigh the pros and we would book here again. We spent most of our days out exploring so coming back to the gorgeous views was worth it.

An amazing find -- a stunning beachfront unit!

We had such a wonderful week staying in D9! The actual unit is beautiful and stunning -- the pictures are true! The owners have really done a wonderful job with this renovation. Our family of 4 were very comfortable and felt at home during this week. Some of our favorite things: truly beachfront with jaw-dropping views from the balcony; a well-stocked, clean and modern kitchen; very comfortable bed; super-easy pool and beach access. Last, but certainly not least, the beach is a dream come true: a sandy beach, warm water good for floating on some days and boogie-boarding on others, and no crowds! We visited other beaches on the island, and thoroughly enjoyed what each beach had to offer, but were always happy to return to the peaceful paradise of Ma'Alaea Surf.

Great vacation!

This unit is stunning!! It has everything you need for the beach and your stay and the location is awesome!! Tony and Allison were very helpful with anything you might need and communicating with them was very easy!! The beach is great for paddleboarding!! Paradise in Kihei!

We absolutely loved our stay. Tony and Allison were very communicative and responsive to us. The unit is very clean and modern beach decor and well equipped with everything you can need including beach chairs, umbrella, tennis paddles etc. The beds are super comfortable and a great unit for a family of four. Saving the best for last - the view is hard to beat - as soon as you enter you have an expansive view of the ocean. The sunsets were amazing! The complex underwent flooding in December but despite that this unit is still perfect and beach was still amazing! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Condo and location

We really enjoyed our stay at this newly remodeled condo. The views are incredible and we took a walk on the beach almost every day. The Kihei location is central so getting around the island was easy. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly and were very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely would stay there again.

We have owned multiple properties along this beach and our boys have grown up here. It's the perfect spot for couples and families to enjoy paradise!

Ma'alea Surf is an incredible property, it's spread out over 5 beautifully landscaped acres with only 59 units. We love the small amount of units and don't feel overwhelmed or crowded on property. Our oceanfront lanai is perfect for capturing those beautiful Maui sunsets!
