Welcome to The Artist Studio.   This is a brand new adorable abode is unique and exquisite.   This  home shares a 1 + acre property with the main house - Nevada City Retreat.   Situated on desirable Banner Mt - this swanky unit is designed for the utmost privacy and allow guest their own space.  One bedroom and one full bathroom - full equipped kitchen w/ washer and dryer.  Open living room with high ceilings and fabulous windows throughout allowing for natural sunlight and views of nature.   Only 3 miles to downtown Nevada City and restaurants.   Scotts Flat Lake is a mere 5 miles from the property.

Cozy house in the woods

This little house was just right for a few days away. Everything was clean, and it had all that we needed for a long weekend. Trish was super responsive and communicative. Thanks for the nice stay!

The Artist Studio

Wonderful studio space in scenic setting. Super Clean, has all necessities for a great stay. Would suggest 4X4 vehicle if staying during snow season. Trish is very responsive and very helpful. Would stay again and would recommend to friends! Thank you Trish! :)

Peaceful setting, perfect accommodation

My stay at the artist studio was A+. Trish was very responsive and communicated well. She even let me know when guest at the main house were arriving. This was helpful as I was staying there alone. The house left you wanting for nothing, very well equipment and a delightful quiet setting.

Great property

Great property , quiet neighborhood. Host was amazing . The property is located close to town and amenities . The inside was comfortable and well furnished . Kitchen is on the smaller side but perfect for two people . The bedroom mattress was extremely comfortable. The bathroom shower was large and had a great shower head that you can also use as a hand shower . Highly recommended.

True swanky little hideout surrounded by beauty!

My husband & I love this studio! It is clean, light filled & has a perfect view of the forest through the large windows. Super peaceful place, surrounded by beauty. We had many visits of wildlife during our stay, including mule deer. It really has everything you need & best of all, we were able to have our two senior dogs with us. They did great staying here. The location is great. Easy drive to points of interest, restaurants & shopping. This studio is truly a gem & Trish is a fantastic host! She is kind, helpful & very responsive if needed. We absolutely would stay here again & highly recommend The Artist Studio!

Artist Studio is Top Shelf!

The moment we drove up to the Artist Studio we knew this was just what we needed for our getaway. Then we opened the door to a well appointed spacious abode with views of gorgeous trees! We felt we were far away from the busyness of our life in the Bay Area. We discovered gorgeous hiking trails, lakes and the sweet little town of Grass Valley. Trish was the perfect host keeping us informed and readily available if needed. We hope to return again and again it was a perfect getaway. Surrounded by Nature with the comforts of home. Mahalo

Wonderful stay!

This place was great and I enjoyed my stay very much. Online description says that the internet is high speed and good for someone that needs to work. This was not my experience. I kept losing service. However, the owner, Trish, had the internet service out to see what could be done and then offered me an extra night for the inconvenience. ( I was unable to stay the night, however, it was really amazing that she offered). Overall, the place is 5+ stars!

Stunning new and clean cottage in the forest.

Stunning new artist retreat in the middle of the forest. The views of the trees from the massive windows are amazing. Very comfy bed and everything is very clean. Trish was so helpful and a great host. We will definitely return!

Why they chose this property

This place was built as an artist studio for a former owner. It is brand new and was built in 2019. In 2021 the I turned this gorgeous space into a short term rental. It's fresh, clean and delightful.

What makes this property unique

It has a unique architecture outside and inside. Gorgeous windows allowing nature and light to flow through. Brand new kitchen and bathroom - Huge open living room. Quiet, peaceful and magical.
