Reviewer Comments:
We loved our stay at Retreat at Shock Hill. This is the first time we've stayed in Shock Hill and being in short walking distance to the gondola was a game changer. The kitchen was well equipped and having garage parking was great. We all enjoyed the large living room fireplace and hot tub, too.
Very nice home with plenty of space and nice amenities. The toilet in the Master Suite needs attention as the flapper constantly stays open after flushing and needs to be flipped down manually so the toilet doesn't run constantly
The communication via text is horrible. It pretends to be a real person but must be a robot or something. I asked for humidifiers and the texts asked me at least three times how many humidifiers. Additionally, these should already be in the condo. The garage door code stopped working, they came to fix and it itnermittently worked thereafter. There was a clogged toiled when we arrived. It was fixed then clogged again. There were ants in one room. There was dog hair on the bedding of the bunk beds. Some of our requests were answered and others ignored. There were not enough towels for 10 adults to shower with a full towel. For the price this was a very bad experience. I will never rent from this company again. The support is outsourced and very poorly implemented. Clearly no one cares about the visitor experience.

In June of 2024, four of my close friends from college and I gathered at the house on Shock Hill. We spent four days in the spacious house and enjoyed having space to be together while having our own space. The bedrooms were roomy and the primary bedroom was spacious. We loved having the hot tub just outside the door. It was also nice to have the gondola so close, as we could go into Breck without having to take a car, where we would need to pay to park.Mostly what I loved was the communication from the rental company. They contacted me shortly after arriving and addressed an issue with pipes. Their communications were clear and friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time. Great location! We had a maintenance issue on our very first morning, but the management company sent someone quickly and had it taken care of almost immediately. They were professional and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Overall had a great stay here with a big group to ski. 10min walk or so up to the Gondola that takes you to the bases of Peaks 7 and 8. Decent amount of common space and garage/cubby area is nice for ski storage. Main issue was that the address doesn’t match up with GPS/maps so would ask for explicit directions for when you first arrive and then prepare to plug in a different address for ubers or any deliveries.

Location is good, but property is tired. Needs quite a bit of updating. We were unaware of ice removal from the roof, so our 1st day was consumed in loud banging resonating thru the house.

Overall we loved it. It was a great space for two families with young kids (they loved the extra closet/play room downstairs! We would have appreciated to have hand soap in all of the bathrooms, but that is just a minor piece of feedback.
