The lodge was as described and perfect for my family. It was well stocked with everything we needed and very clean. The property was beautiful, so quiet and peaceful. The host was very responsive and friendly. Absolutely would book again!
The space and quietness of the outdoors was a top reason for our rating. Tom was responsive in answering our questions. The flow of the house allowed all three generations space, when alone time was needed. Our children and granddaughter enjoyed the game room and hot tub. If we go back to Helen will definitely book with Tom again.
Great, beautiful cabin! Lots of toys and games for the kids. Plenty dishes and cookware in the kitchen. Beautiful scenery with wildlife there daily. Only complaint we have was the water pressure. The cabin is on a shared well so there were times when there wasn’t much water pressure. We enjoyed our stay! The kids didn’t want to leave!
Great property. Very well stocked and maintained. Host was always very responsive. The only problem was water pressure at night. Other than that...GREAT. Everyone in the family wants to go back!
We had a blast on our vacation to helen. The black bear lodge was the perfect cozy place to come back to after a long day. So much fun stuff to do at the house too when we were too lazy to get out. Looked playing games and making smores with the kiddos!
The pictures of this property do not do it justice. I am the cooker for the family and the kitchen had everything I needed. The fire pit was awesome with a sighting of deer running in the woods. The basement was great with table games to keep the kids entertained. If we come back to visit this area we will stay here again. This is the most beautiful VRBO we have stayed in. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Plenty of room, very clean, and the hot tub was a plus! I can ’t wait to return here.

Great location to Helen and hikes in the mountains.
Our family had a wonderful time in the cabin. It was so cozy and the mattresses were super comfortable. I especially loved seeing all the deer walk by the house.
