A Laurel Haven, with big porches and a log cabin feel. Fireplace.
Get away from it all to this darling rustic cabin. It is secluded and peaceful, yet only 7 miles to downtown Brevard. It has 2 roomy porches to relax on, and long range mountain views in the winter, and a treehouse feel in the summer. Inside there is wide plank pine flooring, hammer beams, and laurel handrailing.

This is a classic mountain cabin located in the peaceful setting of Brevard, NC. My wife and I have stayed here (and the sister cabin) several times and at different times of the year. All visits have been spectacular retreats, and the home offers plenty of space and comfort. We've already booked our next stay. Highly recommend it!
Wonderful cabin and everything was as described. Plenty of supplies for our weekend and tons of towels which was nice to not have to wash mid stay. We woke up to deer in the front yard on our last morning. The fireplace and back porch were our favorite spots to relax. Easy access to property even after dark.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at both Laurel and Chestnut Haven. Nestled in a quiet and secluded nook in the Brevard area, both cabins offer great comfort and all the amenities for a wonderful getaway. We highly recommend both properties and look forward to a return visit.
We spent a month at this cabin, and it was everything we were looking for. My husband and I needed a place to work remotely while our children attended summer camp. We loved the Brevard location and the peace and quiet of this house. Nestled in the woods, it felt like a complete escape. We were very comfortable, the beds were wonderful, and the house is stocked with all the other items that we needed. Staying for a month meant we cooked meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house is sturdy, great A/C, and when our kids were with us in between camp sessions, we all enjoyed the ping pong table and the fire pit outside. Almost every day, we were greeted by local deer and even witnessed a mama deer nursing her fawn. Jessica, the property manager, was absolutely wonderful to us. Staying for a while meant we had lots of questions about the area and the house. Jessica was extremely responsive and so incredibly helpful, we felt like we had an instant friend in this beautiful home away from home. We highly recommend this Laurel Haven to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful and beautiful mountain retreat.
My two adult daughters and I loved this great little cabin. We sat on the deck and chatted it was so peaceful. We played games and relaxed. We all want to come back again.
We loved the cabin! Clean home, well-stocked kitchen and beautiful deck to sit on. Drinking coffee on deck and sitting in cushioned rocking chairs was a joy. The beds were also cozy and very comfortable. Brevard is a charming town.
Very cozy cabin. Interior furnishings and decor added to the cabin vibe first encountered when you drive up. Lots of porch amenities provides outside time comfort. My dog and I had a great stay and enjoyed exploring the area.
Beautiful property and cabin. Everything we needed was available at the cabin which was very clean and adorable. Loved all of the unique decorations throughout the cabin and the back porch which actually had a distant view of the mountains. Its location was secluded yet close enough to drive into town for breakfast before heading back out to Pisgah to ride.
The cabin was homey, comfortable, and rustic, the perfect change of pace from SWFL. The back deck was idyllic....Everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, except maybe a Keurig, so I had to re-learn how to make a real cup of coffee, but that is not a bad thing ;-)
Jessica, our host, was super helpful, and responsive. We will absolutely stay again in the future.
My husband and I wanted to go on a trip before I got too far along in my pregnancy as I am expecting in July. We selected this cabin, and were not disappointed! It is very homey and has lots of unique handcrafted features. The kitchen is well stocked, and there is even an Ingles reward card on the refrigerator to borrow when you go grocery shopping! If you happen to go when it's rainy, there is a ping pong table, and a chess set in the basement. There are two charcoal grills on the property for grilling out. The cabin is about 30 minutes from Pretty Place Chapel and you HAVE to go visit if you stay here. The view is gorgeous. Brevard is also home to 250 waterfalls. Lots of biking, hiking, and even horse trails are also to be found nearby. I look forward to returning sometime!
We found the property to be lovely! Access was easy and everything was as described. The host very generously put up a Christmas tree, which really made the stay special. The house is quiet. We had someone in the upstairs bedroom and did not hear them. There is a nicely curated selections of antiques that serve to evoke the mountain feel of the property. We would totally select this one again. Thank you!
After many mountain getaways, this is the most wonderful destination we have experienced. The house is very well manicured and festive and truly feels like home. Jessica made this process so comfortable and seamless. You truly feel tucked away from the world while still a part of the mountains and its majestic energy. My wife and I came this time but I intend to bring my teenage daughters in the spring. I am sure anyone who visits will want to return. Wonderful restaraunts and downtown is so quaint! Again, a lovely host and lovely experience!
We loved our stay at Laurel Haven! The cabin is cozy, nicely decorated and inviting in a very quiet setting. The furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, etc., and the cabin is incredibly clean. We enjoyed time on the covered back porch overlooking a wonderful forested setting. Jessica is a friendly and accommodating host and we highly recommend this property!
Cabin is wonderful. Back porch alone is worth the stay. Very quiet. Only complaint is rough gravel road that needs some repairs. Didn’t want to leave to come home.
Craftsman built, charming details, comfortable and cozy. Great porches, fire pit and quiet setting with wildlife to see and hear. Great setting, too, for exercise while walking your dog(s) around the loop road, or for a member of your party to enjoy a cigar in several outdoor spaces. Wonderful VRBO property caretaker.
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It’s clean and very cozy. The bed was comfortable. Jessica is very nice and replied quickly to our questions and needs. We would go back again to stay here.
This cabin was so lovely; Quiet, peaceful had everything I needed. Jessica was very quick to respond to any questions I had. 15 minute drive to Brevard on serene (virtually zero traffic) roads. I would definitely recommend this place - 5 star rating.

About the host
Hosted by Jessica
I am a mother of 2 children, wife to an amazing creative husband, who help build this beautiful cabin. I also manage other VRBO's in this county. We love to hike and be in God's creation. We live about 5 minutes down the road:)
Why they chose this property
My mother and father in law used to own the property and rent it out as well. They sold the property September 2021, which gave me the opportunity to manage this home that has lots of memories in it.
What makes this property unique
We live just 5 minutes down the road, so if you need anything we can hopefully be here a lot sooner than other property managers.
