Nestled in the Sierra Nevadas and a gateway to Sequoia National Park, it's situated closeby a hub of local adventures and delicious eateries.
Perfect for family gatherings, work-from-home friendly.
And last but not least, it’s only a couple hours drive from Los Angeles and other cities.
—————————————
We are located in the rural, unincorporated town of Wofford Heights. Its quiet, mostly retired folks, with all the charms of small town. And yet, in the middle of everything!
14 minutes from the nearest Vons, Starbucks in Lake Isabella. 10 min to Kernville, basecamp for everything adventury: Rivertubing, Kayaking, Whitewater Rafting. 9min to the Lake Isabella: Jetskii, kayak, SUP, fishing, boating rentals. Lots of Hiking, Nature, Camping, yet tons of local eateries, Saloons, and even a local brewery.
Home to the Best Stargazing : Our valley has a “Dark Sky Ordinance” to preserve our natural dark sky. Located literally in the mountain’s shadow, where the moon rarely makes an appearance. All to say, we have best views of the milky way. Its really something to see. And the shooting stars are just the cherry on top!
Hot Springs!: We are 20 minutes from 2 hot springs. Take your pick! Both are nestled in the Kern River so you can easily jump from a toasty hot spring to a refreshing cold plunge, my personal favorite! Try to go early in the morning for the best views and when the temperature is perfect. Don’t forget to pack snacks incase you might never want to leave.
Sequoia Hiking: 50 minutes to Trail of 100 giants. The Trail of 100 Giants is the most popular attraction in the Giant Sequoia National Monument. It’s an easy, accessible walk through the Long Meadow Grove, one of the premier groves of giant sequoias in our area. Along the trail, you'll see impressively large giant sequoia trees, estimated up to 1,500 years old. A 1.3 mile paved trail has several loop options with interpretive signs for some of the highlights.
Avoid the crowds of the NP, this hike is in the National Forest- there might be 5 or 6 groups on the trail at any given moment. Only open during the summer season: It’s a must-see if you are in the area!
