The house was absolutely beautiful—super clean, really well set up, and the view was just unreal. The game room was awesome and kept everyone entertained. Honestly, one of the best places we’ve stayed at in a while. Communication was easy, check-in was smooth, and everything worked perfectly so we didn’t even need to contact the host. Just a really great experience overall. Definitely hoping to come back in the winter—it looks like it’d be amazing in the snow!
We enjoyed sating at this property a lot , well organized owner with all the necessary thing any vacation home needs + communication and how overall they manage .
Thank you to Terry and his wife for everything .
Great property with everything you need to make your stay pleasant. Kitchen is very well stocked. Views are wonderful and home is warm. Only negative is if you wish to sleep in, the blinds in the rooms are light in color and therefore gets quite bright by 7 a.m. Wasn't too much of an issue but for the light sleeper it may be
We booked this cabin for an adventure with friends and it did not disappoint. The property is amazing and has all the amenities so that you never want to leave the cabin. Great views, fire pit, barbecue, and such a fun game room. We spent our days rafting the kern river,m and on some nearby day hikes, and were able to come back to the property to relax. The hosts were amazing and offered some insights into the area. We hope to be able to come back and visit again.
This is our 2nd stay in this beautiful home for New Years. It’s like our home away from home. Very cozy, house is fully equipped with literally everything you need for your stay, clean, detail oriented, game room is a huge plus and not to forget the beautiful, unreal view this home has of the mountains and lake Isabella. It truly takes your breath away and seems like a fairy tale.
We will be back! Thank you Terry for sharing your beautiful home with us. Looking forward to our next stay.
We had such a lovely fall weekend at the Lookout! The cabin is so well equipped and perfect for a trip to cozy up. Plenty of puzzles, games, kitchen for cooking and cozying up on the couch. The dads wish there was a TV on the main level but we spent a lot of time in the game room.
The dog loved running the hill but I was a tad nervous about the busy road close by so not much open land but inside was perfect.
We did a hike down by Lake Izabella and found the hot springs one day too. We would love to come back, the hospitality, amazing views and overall cabin feel was perfect for our family get-away.
The house is great. There were some forest fires going on in the general area. The Property manager answered any questions we had. Knowing that he understood what the alerts were about was extremely helpful. It made us feel comfortable!
The ice maker in the fridge did not work so good.
We went during winter conditions. Gorgeous views from almost anywhere in the cabin. The bedding was comfortable with good pillows & there were plenty of extra blankets. The hosts are extremely good at communication & very kind. The kitchen had everything we needed & almost every way possible to make coffee!
I'm glad Google maps had a 3D view of the buildings because we arrived during a snow storm & it took a little extra time to discover which cabin was the correct one. The driveway is a bit steep and the house number is on a tree.
There are plenty of chairs to sit on the patio. We made s'mores over the outdoor fire table. We loved the decorations, but the games made it extra nice. FYI if you stay in the gorgeous master bedroom, the "fireplace" could wake a light sleeper if you set it to a temperature that requires it to turn on & off frequently through the night (only happened on night 1). Our group of family, and friends like family, had such a great time in this cabin. I would love to go back during a time the nearby trails would be clear.
The pups enjoyed the provided supplies. The place was clean. The toddlers loved the provided Jenga & children books. Even though it's near other cabins, it has enough trees and the way the houses are set up, it really does feel like you have privacy. I love the hosts' style with replica 1930s light switches and a 1950s stove that works amazingly. I just can't say enough good things about the place and hosts, honestly.
Since we are repeat visitors we already knew what to expect. Great property, beautiful views, great hosts, has everything you need for your stay. It is called the lookout for a reason. Always love to stay there again definitely worth it especially in the winter.
The hosts were very communicative and did a very helpful walkthrough when we arrived. Loved the cozy vibe and was a perfect place to unwind and relax. Definitely would stay again.
Gorgeous home with a spectacular view! Our guests had an amazing time. Such a beautiful setting and well furnished with all of the comforts one could ask.
