Our family of 10 had an amazing stay at this gorgeous property overlooking an estuary with amazing morning and sunset light. Amenities accommodations and surroundings all perfect! Hosts quick to respond and the vibe is welcoming and everything absolutely perfect!!!
Perfect family retreat in the woods close to town!
This property was ideal for our family with so many locations to sit and chat and hang out. One of our favorites was the fire pit down near the water. Jeff was super accommodating and responded to any small questions that we had for him. I highly recommend this location and appreciate the hospitality of the owners very much!
Annual trip to midcoast Maine with family. The house was wonderful with plenty of room for everyone, including teens who wanted some occasional alone time :) The screened in porch was fantastic and the kitchen makes great use of its space and is well stocked. And we were especially grateful for the A/C given the hotter than average temperatures while we were there!
The hosts were gracious and accommodating! The house was comfortable and inviting. It was stocked with every item you could ever need and more…dishes, utensils, spices, paper goods, toiletries etc. Highly recommend, our family of 13 fit comfortably!! Thanks again!!
My family and I had enjoyed the property tremendously. It was extremely comfortable for everyone in our party, including an infant. The hosts were incredibly responsive when we had a question about the property. The property is quiet and isolated but very close to downtown and the shops. I would recommend this property to anyone.
We stayed at this property for a family vacation with two families & a total of 9 people. Jess & Jeff could not have been more responsive and hospital with lots of recommendations to give us a true Maine experience. We loved the backyard & fire pit and spent many nights outside! Would definitely come back again

Thank you Sharon, it was a pleasure hosting you and your family, you are welcome back anytime!
Jeff’s house was in a beautiful and very serene location, but still near Freeport and a short drive to Portland! We enjoyed the cool Maine summer mornings and evenings on the back porch, and the house had all the amenities our family needed for a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed the proximity to Wolfe’s Neck state park! Jeff’s communication throughout our booking process and during our stay was very thorough and quick. Thanks for making our first trip up to Maine one we will never forget.

Thank you and it was a pleasure hosting you and your family. You left the house in such good condition we would love to host you again the the future and I highly recommend you to any other hosts!
This home is about as relaxing as you can get. It’s quiet and secluded and still close to town. It’s on the water, although it’s a bit of a downhill walk to the waters edge, the view from above is amazing. The screened in porch is heavenly. We ended up spending a good amount of our free time out there. Beautiful, comfortable, and spacious home and everything was spotless. We came with our family of 8 and never felt crowded. I hope to come back here and if we did we would love to stay even longer. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Lori, it was a pleasure welcoming you and we hope you will come again!
The house and the property were beautiful, exactly as described. Perfect for a large family. Super baby and dog friendly. The water access was a bit difficult, but easy access kayak rentals were available just few miles away. Drawers and closet space were limited. But few minor things aside, we really enjoyed our stay. The sunsets over the water were stunning. We used the outdoor gas fire pit every night. The sauna downstairs and the stream shower in the master bathroom were an incredible bonus. We would highly recommend staying at this property.
"Woof and Welcome!" This home could not have been more welcoming to both my adult children and their pups. The house is set up with its human and canine guests in mind. The kitchen was completely stocked. The towels and sheets were in excellent shape. There were water bowls for the pups and a dog bath with its own towels. The house was clean and well decorated. The tv's worked well, as did the grill, the sauna, the firepit, and other amenities. The little details reflected their caring hospitality. And our hosts were incredibly quick to answer any questions and assist with any requests. Additionally, we were less than 6 minutes to Freeport shopping and even closer to the state park. All in all an excellent experience. We plan to return!
Jess was the perfect host. We enjoyed our 2 weeks in Freeport and took advantage of this prime location for hiking! With Wolfe's Neck State Park, the Wolfe's Neck Center and the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery Center all within 2 miles, this is your outdoor dream vacation!
The house was cozy for our group of 6 - just enough space for us to lounge in the screened-in porch, on the deck or in the living space.
We cooked almost every day - attending 3 different farmers' markets close by each week. It was very nice the house had air condinitioning units as well as we had some heat come through.
Please note that the bedroom over the garage must access the bathroom down the stairs and through the garage to the kitchen area. Also, the 2nd bedroom upstairs also must either go through the primary upstairs bedroom to use the bathroom or downstairs. Keep that in mind if you have older or younger people in the house. It was fine for us - all adults.
Our dogs enjoyed the freedom of running around the property and walks down the long driveway off-leash. We did struggle a little bit with the tidal aspect of the waterfront, as the dogs did get pretty messy. Thank goodness for the amazing dog bath! We loved having that!
The kayaking was so lovely to have right at the house. It is a very peaceful and quiet cove and we enjoyed seeing bald eagles, herons, egrets and such. As a birder, I counted 51 species of birds on the property! A delight!
The property listing is misleading. It advertises the “whole house”. A few days before arrival, we receive an email stating several things that cannot be used. We were not allowed to use the fireplace…huge bummer. There’s even a picture of it on the website. They also said the basement was off limits which is weird because there wasn’t a basement. The only upstairs bathroom is located in one of the bedrooms. The first day, the water shut off when we were showering. Absolutely no water. The property is EXTREMELY steep to the water. Not a place for asthma sufferers, older people or definitely disabled. One of the bedrooms was through the garage and in a loft. The towels and washcloths were disgusting. They were very worn and stained. New ones are definitely needed. The shower in the separate suite on the main floor flooded. It’s a handicapped shower but the water just rolls out and the ventilation wasn’t good so it was very damp.
The house accommodated a large group ok. The sauna was nice and the location was good. It was ok but probably shouldn’t be so expensive.

Olivia,
We are disappointed to see that you chose to make false claims about our home, it’s setup, and issues you had during your stay.
You rented the whole house and had access to the entire home during your stay. We do have an owners closet where we lock up our valuables that guests cannot access, but other than that you had the entire house. We do not advertise use of a basement but it does exist and is accessible if guests need to access the breaker switches.
Regarding the fireplace, you were able to use the gas fireplace in the living room, the fire pit on the back deck, as well as the fire pit down by the water. The wood burning stove in the sun room is not for guest use since it poses a danger to burn the house down with improper use. The room in reference is shown on the listing because it is a beautiful covered porch accessible to all guests; the perfect spot for evening board games, chats or morning coffees.
We have entirely new linens, towels and amenities. I wonder perhaps if you are referring to the “dog towels” that we offer our guests for dirty pets?
Finally, we know that the water did not turn off during your stay, we had our maintenance man come over immediately to address this and there was no issue to fix. We also know that there was no flooding in the bathroom because he verified this when he came and took pictures to show everything was fine.
Phew, lots of things to address there but we wanted to make sure any future guests looking to book have accurate information.
We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous home with family and friends which overlooks a spectacular bay. Jeff was very kind and easy to work with. The home was immaculate . We enjoyed the fire pit by the water at night sharing stories. We loved Freeport and it’s charming shops and fabulous lobster! Wish we could come back this weekend.

Why they chose this property
This property is the result of a dream come true when we first walked this land back in 2014 when it was just a forested, undeveloped lot on Casco Bay's Harraseeket Cove. We envisioned turning this peaceful place into our forever home and every aspect of it has been designed by local architects and craftsman. The materials are sourced locally right here in Maine and the natural surrounding of coastal wetlands and forest makes for a unique environment for wildlife that is not found anywhere in the country outside of Maine.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique in that you benefit from the privacy of our waterfront, forested setting, surrounded by amazing opportunities for outdoor pursuits, yet you are only 5 minutes to the center of Freeport and all it has to offer! Add that to being only 20 minutes from Portland's Old Port and its legendary foodie & craft beer scene and you have a perfect place for an unforgettable vacation!
