Spacious Family Retreat: Beachfront Community Townhome w/2 Pools & Tennis Courts

Heron's Hideaway is right in the center of the desirable North Cape gulf front community of Barrier Dunes. A short 2 minute walk to the beautiful white sand beach and next to one of the pools and tennis courts. We are continuously making upgrades and improvements to our home so guests enjoy a wonderful escape to the Cape. Our home has a spacious living room with a 65” TV featuring built in Roku for streaming using all your favorite apps. New quartz counter tops and stainless steel appliances greet you in the kitchen.
Just off the kitchen is a laundry closet with full size washer and dryer and laundry supplies. In the kitchen is a large pantry and appliance storage. Unlike many of the Barrier Dunes units, Heron’s Hideaway provides you all the storage space you need for your groceries and supplies.

Open the 6’ sliding glass door and step out to your private deck with gate, new Trex decking, Polywood furniture and umbrella for relaxing after a day of fun and sun. A gas grill is provided if you enjoy staying home and cooking your meals.

Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms each with a TV and private bathroom. The master bedroom features a King sized bed, 65” TV, newly updated master bathroom with double sink vanity, walk in closet and private deck with bar height polywood furniture and beautiful views and gulf breezes. The second bedroom features a queen bed, a set of bunk beds, en-suite bathroom and private deck with a view of one of Barrier Dunes many ponds.

and 2 tennis/pickleball courts. There are 3 freshwater ponds. Fun for bird watching and feeding the local turtles.

Heron’s Hideaway was the perfect vacation spot for our family. It was exactly what we were looking for as far as convenience to the beach and pools, providing beach items and other necessities, and cleanliness & comfort away from home. Wonderful stay

This is one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed at. It was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. The furnishings were nice and we enjoyed the gas grill and deck area.

Great condo

We stayed here from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve. The condo was very clean and well stocked. It is a very nice condo. We will definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to the area. Terri was very responsive to any questions we had. The only con was having to go up and down two flights of stairs, but it is understandable due to being so close to the beach.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful experience staying at this property. The owner was quick to respond to messages and was so very friendly and helpful. The unit was as pictured and described. We had everything we needed. The unit is close to the tennis courts and pool and an easy walk to the beautiful beach. The sand is white and the water clear. We will not hesitate to return!

All the comforts of home!!

Owners have really out done themselves with adding so many little touches and amenities I can't list them all. Floor plan ideal for early risers with a choice between 3 patios or large living room to enjoy your morning coffee. We are seasoned vacation rental renters and this unit and the property owners have really earned a ☆☆☆☆☆(five star) rating. Regarding Barrier Dunes I am not so sure there is any other option on the Cape that can beat these units. (2) pools, tennis courts, easy access to beach and within walking distance to 2 great restuarants. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Best Beach Vacay Yet!

We were so happy with our stay at this wonderful property! It was perfectly equipped for our family's stay! The kitchen had everything you could need. I was super happy with the crockpot for making a meal while we enjoyed the beach during the day and the pantry with baskets for organizing your items was a wonderful bonus! Our kids were super happy with their room and the TV with streaming apps for movies and shows while taking a break from the sun in the evenings. It was so nice to have beach towels, chairs, and toys for the kids already there as well. The unit was super convenient to the little restaurants and the state park on the cape as well. We definitely plan to return not only Cape San Blas but to this unit as well!

Amazing Visit, Love this Place!

Perfect Beach Getaway Spot

Heron's Hideaway was packed full of sweet and special personal touches that made our trip the perfect beach getaway. The location right on the beach and next to the pool served our small kids well for naptimes and quick walks back to the air conditioning. The host was very responsive and kind as she walked us through our first stay at the Cape. This quiet beach was ideal for our family's sunny beach days, sunset walks looking for shells, & nightly bonfires to make s'mores & stargaze. We couldn't have asked for a better beach experience!

Our family discovered Cape San Blas in 2011 and instantly fell in love with the natural beauty and low key vibe of the area. We purchased this beautiful townhouse in March 2021 and completed some updates including new furniture, 65" TV with Roku for those rainy evenings, new bedding, paint, new counter tops, new deck furniture and a variety of other amenities.

Located at the center of everything in the Barrier Dunes community, this lovely townhouse has been recently updated. New floors and paint throughout, featuring comfy new living room furniture and a 65" smart TV for movie watching on those rainy evenings. Take a break and relax on the main deck in the comfy new adirondack chairs. Literally steps to the tennis courts, the swimming pool and around the corner to the playground, there is something to do for everyone.
