Cozy, clean, well-equipped & fully furnished, 4-season cottage on Lake of the Pines in the heart of the Flambeau River State Forest in Winter, WI. Direct access to ATV/snowmobile trails. Hunt, fish, hike, bike, x-country ski, swim, boat, ATV/snowmobile, or just relax, unplug, and unwind. You can do it all at Pinecone Cottage! "Into the forest, I go to lose my mind and find my soul." This is a very remote location, cell phone coverage is unreliable, WIFI is very slow.

Walk right from the cottage onto public hunting land.

The lakeside bedroom features a full-size bed, new bedding, blankets, and pillows.

The bunk room features a Full over Full bunk bed rated for 400 pounds on the top bunk. New bedding, pillows, blankets, LED lighting above the lower bunk.

The kitchen is FULLY furnished with everything you need to feel at home. You will find a coffee pot and filters, blender, crockpot, all cooking, baking, and serving equipment and tools to whip up your favorite meals.

Bath and kitchen towels are provided.

Lake of the Pines is a 273-acre lake that has residents/resorts on the south-eastern & southwestern shorelines, the Lake of the Pines State Park on the northwest shoreline, & the Flambeau State Forest on the north-eastern shorelines. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, & Walleye.

Dish soap and hand soap are provided.
Pet dishes and pet towels provided.
2 kayaks and 2 life jackets provided

Had a wonderful time and got to see plenty of stars and the northern lights. It was very quiet and relaxing and the cabin was outfitted with everything we needed for ohr long weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend and we will be booking again in the future!

Wonderful cabin to rent awesome area!!!

We had a great time the cabin was very nice and well furnished! I I use to go to the 5 cabins there every year for 15 years for a week same time of year! Was excited to see one of the cabins was available to rent again ! We can not wait to go again next year to start the tradition all over !🤗

Everything you need..a slice of heaven

This place is gorgeous, inside and out! It's right on the water with a huge sandbar! They provide everything you need except wood and charcoal! It was so relaxing and the beds were so comfortable! We had a phenomenal time in the boat and kayaks!

Clean cozy cabin has everything you need

Four of us stayed in the cabin with a few birddogs to hunt grouse is the Philips area. This cabin is small and cozy but still has everything you need for a nice stay. It was very clean and well maintained. Fantastic sunset views over the lake. Very quiet development in late October.

Property was very clean. Nice to have the linens and kitchen supplies there. Short drive to Hayward. Water was nice. Nice shallow area for kids to play. Fishing was not great, but kids had fun catching little ones.

Relaxing getaway

Nice, cozy, older cabin. Clean, natural lake. The property was exactly as described. The cleanliness was spot on. The screened porch was very much appreciated since the mosquitos were thick (as they are all over the north country this time of the year).

Doctors orders

I had an amazing time here. This is just what the doctor ordered, peace and tranquility. The cabin was spot on when it comes to an “up north “ cabin. Only seen one other boat on the lake, felt like it was just me and the loons! Thank you for opening this up for other people to enjoy, I made memories by myself that will last a lifetime!

Peaceful getaway

Cute property located on the lake and the ATV trails too. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need. My boys loved using the rowboat to find fishing spots and I loved kayaking the lake. Seeing all the hugs bullfrog tadpoles was also so cool and hearing the mature ones at night too! We had a wonderful time! It is very remote but there are a couple supper clubs within a couple miles.

Fun family vacation

We had a great time here. thank you for letting us stay. The kids loved kayaking and fishing and swimming. It was great to relax and to just unwind. We enjoyed the small cabin and the kids enjoyed switching beds nightly. The cabin was clean and easy to find. Looks just like the pictures. The only thing would have been we should have brought swim shoes but thats on us. My daughter cut her foot on a rock or clam shell, but that did not detour her from swimming continuously still.

We were fortunate enough to purchase this cottage on this wonderful lake in 2019, just before COVID hit. We have owned a cabin in the woods in Winter, WI for 10+ years but have LOVED coming to this lake to fish, swim, and relax. When the property went up for sale we jumped at the chance own a piece of heaven on this wonderful lake. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
