Megan and Scott’s property is pristine and beautifully decorated. Very clean, well stocked for all situations and hosts are accessible if you have questions. The outdoor views are beautiful, and the listing is accurate. We look forward to our visit in 2027.

We had a great time in Lake Placid! The location was ideal and the views were amazing! The house fit our large family very well (6 adults and 4 children). Communication with the host was very smooth and the entire house was incredibly clean!

The house is beautiful and has the best views in Lake Placid of the high peaks. Everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay again, thanks so much for sharing your historic camp with us!

We had a wonderful stay at Camp Karibu in August 2026! It had plenty of space for our extended family, including our newest 10-month old edition (who loved her first Lake Placid trip!) The location was perfect - just a short walk to Mirror Lake and convenient to go into town 1 or 2 times a day. The house was stocked with pretty much anything you could think to need, including ample towels (both bath and beach) and toiletries/laundry items. We look forward to staying here again!

I recently just stayed in Camp Karibu for my bachelorette weekend with my closest friends. It was nothing short of AMAZING. From the ease of check in and check out, to the views from every back room on the property, to the house being FULLY stocked with everything you could need. The place was incredible. Megan was so attentive and communicated quickly. The property was breathtaking and had activities for all kind of weather. Not to mention how cozy all of the beds were. We couldn’t stop saying “this house is amazing”! I’m already making plans to come back with my friends and their families. I couldn’t recommend this place more, especially if you’re a big group. 5 stars all around!

The property was exactly what we hoped and what was advertised, and it was great for families with children of various ages. The convenience to the lake and back yard area gave all of us opportunities to have space and move around. Appliances and bedrooms were complete with all of what we needed, bathrooms clean and had tubs for baths of little kids, and the furnishings good. WIFI and TV easy and there were plenty of extra toys and family games, etc. Our family of 9 had a great experience.

We had a wonderful stay. Central location to all that Lake Placid has to offer. We highly recommend this expansive and well appointed home on beautiful golf course and mountain panorama our of multi level picture windows and multi level decks and screened-in porches.

Beautiful home! Every amenity you could think of. We really enjoyed the reclining chairs looking out over the golf course and the mountains. Spectacular view! So much to do in the area. The beach and the Wild Center were our favorites.

Perfect in every way! Well-appointed, extremely clean, 5-minute walk to the lake and 10-min walk to town. The porch, the deck, the firepit, and two large family rooms provide all the gathering space necessary to accommodate guests of all ages. The kitchen is a chef's dream. My family loved every minute of our time there.
