My husband and I stayed here with our 5 young children in July/August. The home was exceptionally well-appointed with thoughtful attention to every detail from child safety to modern decor to “starter” household/personal care items. The location was PERFECT for us with plenty of privacy away from neighbors/traffic so our children could play outside safely but also in very close proximity to the ski jumps/horse show grounds/lacrosse fields… The host was extremely accommodating to our last minute change in dates and responded to our messages promptly, professionally and kindly. We cannot wait to come back to Lake Placid and stay here again next year!!!! Thank you so much - the property was a dream come true!! (FYI: It did get a little buggy at times but there was bug spray available!! Also, the dining room area rug had lifted up a bit and kept tripping us up - we ultimately rolled it up and placed it in the bedroom closet just to avoid any risk of someone getting hurt! Even with those little details - this place really was absolutely perfect!!
Had a nice weekend in Lake Placid. House is spacious. Kitchen is well stocked with all necessities for cooking. Proximity to the village is a great perk.
We really enjoyed our stay. Host was responsive. House had all the amenities: well stocked kitchen, games, puzzles, ping pong. Lots of space and privacy. Very clean and cute. Lake Placid is such a cool area and we will definitely be back to take part in more of the outdoor activities.
My only caution is that the house is on a side street off of River Rd which is one of the roads which is closed in both directions during the Ironman. We were really worried about how we were going to get home after the race... the road is packed with runners and so you can get stuck at the house or out on hwy 73. It is bikeable, but not so much if you just went 140 miles and can hardly walk.
