Colette is a wonderful host. We loved the welcoming touches: a wreath on the door and a small decorated tree inside to enhance our holiday celebration, a bowl of local fruit, a notebook with suggested restaurants and activities nearby.
We stayed here last year and had to come again for the gorgeous view and quiet location. We loved exploring the island from here and the waipuo valley lookout just down the road is breathtaking. Thank you for the wonderful place to stay!

We love that you returned to our cottage and enjoyed yourselves. This year you certainly timed it well with the volcano providing a wonderful display.
You left the cottage immaculate both times and we welcome you back any time!

We wanted to get away from the resorts and have a low key stay, the property was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the oceans and walking around the area.
My husband, 2 and 4 year old and I stayed here and it was great. The owners had a list of things to do and were easy to communicate with. Property very clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend this property.

The hosts were fantastic!!!! Beautiful location close to Waipo valley lookout. . Stayed here for one month. Any concerns were addressed right away by the hosts. Very comfortable and very clean . Brand new BBQ grill. Close to town Honokaa that has two gas stations , grocery store, couple of cafes, library, police dept , EMS ambulance, 2 chocolate shops, clothes stores , movie theater, and a post office. It also has a lot of other store fronts . Great location to travel to other parts of the island. Lots to see and still more to see and do. Thanks to the hosts for making our stay so enjoyable!
We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful dreaminess of this area, and the quaint small-town feel of Honokaa.
Cottage was very comfortable and Collette went above and beyond in her hospitality and helpfulness.

This was one of the best stays i have had in Hawaii in the past 15 years! The home was pretty and very clean and the lay-out was such that you had cross breezes in every room. The upper balcony had wonderful views and was a very comfy place to sit and relax. Appliances were top shelf and the beds were comfy. The hosts were so nice and had so much information to share! I would recommend this place to anyone

The pictures does not do the cottage justice. It was beyond expectation. It was hospitality overflow! A perfect location with all the bells and whistle you'll ever want or need. I just can't say enough, I can go on and on and on. To sum it up, Ms Hirata will have returning guests in the future.

Short three night, four day visit to Honoka’a and Waipi’o Valley. The home was perfect for two friends. Separate bedrooms snd bathrooms.
Two lanais to enjoy sunrise breakfast snd sunset happy hour/dinner. Horses grazing across the street. Idyllic.
Very quiet setting. The house was clean with fresh cool air throughout. High ceilings, lots of wood. Nice landscaping. No neighbors!
The hosts were accommodating and gracious. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Colette and Miles.
Words can not explain the views alone. Amazing week at this location. The property is very private and peaceful. Easy check in and out. Clean and well stocked. Colette goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect with the little touches added that no resort can match. I can not wait to stay again. We thank you again 😊
