Well maintained waterfront cabin on Frye island. Enjoy the water from the 60 foot dock behind the house. Watch the incredible sunsets, from the two decks on the house. 6 bedrooms, 2 baths. Great home for 1 large or 2 small families to take in the wonderful island. Home has kayaks, tennis rackets, pickle ball paddles and cornhole for outdoor activities, also has 2 sets of golf clubs -not great but certainly can get you around the course. On a rainy day several board games are equipped as well. Island has several amenities, general store, cafe, ice cream stand, golf course, pickle ball courts, swimming pool and 10 beautiful beaches.
The island is located in the middle of Sebago Lake.
If you are a fisherman, I know many of the Maine guides well and there is great fishing for lake trout, landlocked salmon and small mouth bass. They know my home and will pick you right up on my dock. Several places rent boats that I can recommend

Pretty much falling apart, I understand house was sold recently because new owners stopped by to look and even they said it needs a lot of work. Absolutely beautiful sunsets though!!!
We had a great time and the house fit our needs perfectly! It would have been great if the dock was put out, but it wasn't great weather to get down to the water anyway.
We had a great stay in this house. Enough space for everyone and we loved the open concept livingroom/kitchen area. The sunsets over the mountains are gorgeous! What a great spot on Frye Island. We will definitely be back!
John was a phenomenal host and made sure we had all the necessary resources and information for an amazing getaway. His house has spectacular views and all the amenities that a person could ask for. Don't HESITATE BOOK NOW!
We had the best week on Frye Island staying here. The house is better than photos and the waterfront is great (just bring water shoes as it is rocky). We've already booked another week for next summer!
We had a lovely stay at the Frye Island camp. Would definitely return. John is a responsive host and the camp had all the fun stuff to enjoy the island and Sebago Lake.
Great place. Pleasantly suprised how much bigger it seemed from the pictures. Great beautiful view from house. Enjoyed golf restaurant and rec center. Water was amazing. Have stayed at both the host's houses and cant decide which i loved the most
Location and view were magnificent. Fully stocked kitchen and big new refrigerator.
Family vacation with children and grandchildren following death of 102 year old family matriarch. Cottage is a bit dated, but what we expected for island living! Owner was very attentive to all of needs and concerns. Great dock and spectacular sunsets. We had a great week and awesome weather!
Excellent location and good communication with owner.
We had a great stay at this lakefront property. There were a few cleaning glitches the first day (on the part of cleaning crew) that were quickly remedied by the owner. Communication was excellent and John returned calls immediately.
We loved staying here, we rented a boat, went to trivia night at Frogs Leap Cafe, and live music at the golf club.
I would definitely return to this residence in the future.
The lake was beautiful. The house was very nice and had all you needed for vacation. We rented extra kayaks for the family to use and they had a ball. John, the owner, was terrific. If we needed something he was right there to assist. We all said we would go back.

There was an issue with the mooring for our boat, the clip was missing. John was very responsive & helpful. He sent the caretaker over. We enjoyed the deck and the patio area. It was great having pickleball equipment and the use of a kayak.
We had a great week on Frye Island for a vacation with our extended family of 9 of young adults (19-29 yrs) and us (58,60) The property worked out well for us, with 6 bedrooms and lots of living room and deck space. The water temperature was perfect, about 70 degrees for the 80-90 degree days. There are nice community beaches on the island but we were content to swim directly off the dock and a small private beach fronting the house. John graciously connected us with a local fishing guide and the marina for a boat rental. which we used to boat around the lake and up the Songo River. A great place to spend a family vacation!

This property is up for sale and the owner clearly has no intentions of putting money into it as a rental to make his guest comfortable. Dated and cabin in the woods are fine and what we expected. We drove 8 hours to get there later in the day to beds that were not made, beds that were made, were dirty. There was laundry left in the washer and dryer for us to take care of. This house needs attention. The screens in the downstairs had rips in them and did not sit well because of rot in the sills. The upstairs screen doors to the deck were not installed and unable to be used because of rot in the treads. The upstairs at least had an air conditioning unit but the downstairs was so hard to get comfortable because of the screens and windows needing repairs. It was hot and buggy. There were fans but they were filthy! The island is adorable, the people are super friendly. People truly take care of their homes here, you can see it as you walk the island, but that is not the case in this home. I did email the owner midweek, I'm hoping that at the very least the people who rented after us had a cleaner house and beds made upon arrival after I complained about the lack of care towards his guest. Too much money for what he's renting!
Not fancy but clean and well supplied with all kitchen equipment we needed . It was great to have plenty of bedrooms and two baths. A wonderful deck overlooking the water with a table and seating for us all. I was disappointed that theire wasn't a rail on the stairs going to second floor. I have RA and needed help every time. Otherwise a great week!
One of the larger rentals on the island - beautiful location for morning coffee lakeside and sunsets. We loved it! John is a great host and very responsive.
House was very clean and had plenty of bedroom space for two families (7 kids in total). The beach in front of the house is a bit rocky like many up in this area so I would recommend water shoes for kids who aren't used to that, but we also visited the public beaches which were great. The kayak was a hit, as was the dock for fishing. Plenty of table space for games or art projects when we needed a break from the sun. It's a great house to enjoy Frye Island, Lake Sebago, and the sunsets - no frills needed - but it has everything you need for a memorable vacation.
