Elegant, remodeled 4-bed ski-in ski-out BC duplex right above Centennial chair
Ski in-ski out can mean lots of things. In this apartment, it means opening the door and skiing in and skiing out. No bridges, ski paths, elevators or ski rooms. Perched just above the Hyatt, you'll ski down directly to the main lift and ski home without any detours.
Our apartment, which we renovated and redecorated in 2022, has been in our family since just about the time BC was created. Two generations learned to ski here, and we love sharing it with people who have a passion for skiing and the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Downstairs there's a great room with wrap-around windows that look directly up the mountain for priceless views of skiers, wildlife and fireworks. There's plenty of comfortable seating around the stone, wood-burning fireplace (not many in BC), a dining table for 8 and a well-stocked kitchen. The large primary bedroom suite upstairs also has beautiful views on the mountain and a spacious dressing area and bathroom with tub, shower and bidet.
There are three additional bedrooms downstairs, two with twin beds which can be converted to kings, and another bedroom with a day bed that shares a bath. A small, terrace on the mountain is perfect for sitting out on sunny days. There are four full baths in all, washer/dryer, wifi, cable, TVs.
The building has a small but beautiful gym, also facing the mountain, and shares an outdoor pool with the adjoining building. There's also a private living room for the second floor with a fireplace, work space and large outdoor deck.
Beaver Creek is a small, charming village right at the base of the mountain. It's famous for free chocolate chip cookies at the end of the day and the ice skating rink at the center. There's plenty of great shopping and restaurants and some of the best extras anywhere: heated sidewalks, free on-demand shuttle service, and fireworks every Thursday night.

One of the best locations in all of Beaver Creek. Such an easy ski in ski out. And an easy walk to the village. The owner was super helpful and responsive which we really appreciated. We will definitely come back!

Abe, you're welcome back anytime. Glad you loved it as much as we do.
The location of this property is really nice. Exactly as represented. Right on the slopes above the Hyatt. Such a great ski in ski out experience with a great view of the slopes.
The owner was very helpful and very easy to work with and gave us great suggestions.
The property is spacious - no shortage of tvs - great working fire place - lots of kitchen appliances - nice roomy bathrooms.
Would not characterize the condo as luxury but its very homey and comfortable.
The indoor garage is great and very convenient to bringing things in and out.
Would not recommend instacarte groceries - they were a fail - but easy enough to drive to City Market.
Shuttle to and from Slopeside to the Village was very convenient (especially online reservation) and reliable.
Elderly parents who were travelling with us really enjoyed the views and convenience of accommodations.
All in all a lovely stay!

About the host
Hosted by Jonathan Cranin
My name is Jonathan Cranin. I'm married and raised my two children in NYC. We are all passionate skiers, except for my wife, who hated it all three times she tried it. I've been going to the Vail Valley since I was 12, and only missed one year when I was a ski bum at Stowe the year after I graduated college. (Ironically, the snow was better that year in the east.)
I spent my career as a creative in advertising, and created "Priceless" for MasterCard, which my mother loved bragging about. I also worked in politics. I consult to and invest in interesting startups. During Covid, my wife and I moved to eastern Long Island and got a puppy. Our children and now two grandchildren visit often.
Why they chose this property
My family has owned our apartment since BC opened nearly 30 years ago. (My family started going to Vail 60 years ago.) My two grown kids learned to ski here in the world's best ski school, and now their kids are about to start.
Skiing in and out directly from your back door changes everything. It even makes using a ski room seem inconvenient. Come home for lunch or a warmer jacket. Or go sledding after skiing. It's like beachfront. The apartment also has front row seats for Thursday night fireworks.
Skiing at BC is, if not underrated, then not given the praise it deserves. The green and blue runs are wide and beautiful, and even during busy weeks, they're never crowded. And the black and double black runs are far better than Vail's hardest skiing. My only trips to Vail are for fresh snow in the Bowls.
BC is one of my favorite places on earth. The village has every luxury, but isn't pretentious. (Heated sidewalks, escalators, ski concierges and free chocolate chip cookies at the end of the day.) Enjoy it and ski safely.
