Welcome to the "Twisted Branch" New 5 Bed 4 Bath home with 2 King, 3 Queen and 2 Bunk bed. Nestled in a planned community of more than 1,000 acres Powder House Pass. Powder House Pass amenities include all Paved Roads, Community Building, 2 Swimming Pools one is a Year-round Heated Outdoor Pool. Outdoor Splash Pad, Game Room, Fiber Internet, Outdoor fire pit. Powder House Pass has direct access to the nationally recognized 110-mile Mickelson Trailhead for hiking and walking, miles of ATV & UTV trails as well as direct access to the snowmobile trails for immediate adventure. No need to haul trailers around just ride straight from your cabin! Relax in this remote community while staying within 10 minutes of town to experience, history, and entertainment of historic Deadwood. Spearfish Canyon is only 10 minutes from the property, where you can enjoy the rim rock canyons, waterfalls, hikes, and some world class trout fishing. Mount Rushmore, Hill City, Sylvan Lake, or Custer State Park are only an hour drive away.
Our cabin has an open floor plan perfect for entertaining with the living, kitchen, and dining rooms all connected. Main floor is flooded with natural light from the large windows that showcases the natural beauty of the Black Hills. The kitchen is filled with high-end appliances. The living area has a large flat-screen TV with a gas fireplace, great for kicking your feet up and enjoying a relaxing night in. There are 5 total bedrooms, the main level has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has one king bed and the second bedroom, a queen bed. Upper level has a sitting area, Arcade with 60 games and pin ball machine to keep your family entertained with 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed There's a deck/patio space coming off the main level as well, great for sitting out. next to the propane fire pit and enjoying some time grilling or catching up with friends. A walk out basement with wet bar and family room, that leads to a warm relaxing, hot tub. The lower level also has an additional two bedrooms, one with a king bed & bunk bed and the other with a queen bed. The two-stall heated oversized garage is also great for storing your motorcycles after long rides out on the winding roads!

We had a very good experience. The home was very spacious and was very comfortable. There we lots of blankets for lounging on the couch and the kitchen had what we needed for breakfast and simple lunches. The kids had lots of things to do with arcade games and pool table and the hot tub was a nice way to finish the day. We really enjoyed the location and being close enough to all the activities but in newly built development where we could get away and was close to all the outdoor activities we enjoyed.The next time we are in the area we will check to see if this is available again for sure.

Very Nice Cabin

We did a family trip over the 4th of July with 12 family members. The cabin was very accommodating and comfortable for all age groups from 3-78. The grandchildren also enjoyed the pools at the clubhouse - especially the heated one.

A beautiful house well set up for a large group. Comfortable common areas but plenty of room for privacy also. We had so much fun playing pool and pinball after a long day riding. The basement has a huge comfy couch, pool table, sink, fridge and microwave. It would be a perfect hangout for teens while the adults visit on the main floor. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows.

We loved our stay in the house. We have stayed at multiple cabins around the Black Hills area and this is one of my top picks this far! The kids loved the pinball machine and our opinion is that it would have been better if it was in the basement for noise purposes, however, there was a lot of great activities for the kids to do and great snow piles for sledding around the house!

This rental is beautiful, location is awesome and I received extremely quick communication response when having a problem with the wifi. I have been traveling with VRBO for over 10 years and this property may just be my favorite! Space to spread out with multigenerational family and so close to all the fun things we wanted to do.

Family New Year's Vacation

The house was wonderful with lots of sleeping room for the toddlers to have some peace and quiet. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and rec room so much. I would highly recommend this house. Everything was just as it was posted.

Fun House

The house and the location were great! Very clean and well maintained. The house was furnished with anything you may need. The arcade loft added some extra fun and entertainment. We were there for a family wedding and some of our other family members were able to stay just a few houses away. The closeness to deadwood is perfect for going out on the town. Would definitely stay again. We had easy check in and check out.

Great location, nice house!

We had 2 families (4 adults, 5 teenagers) stay and the house has a great set-up with 3 levels that gave everyone a bit of their own space, while having the main room/kitchen area and deck to all hang out together. The neighborhood is great, and this property is close to the pool and community center, which the kids loved. We would definitely stay again! The only small downfalls were that the place was dusty when we arrived and we were only able to park 1 vehicle in the 2-car garage because there is a mower parked at the front of one of the stalls so we couldn’t pull in far enough to shut the garage door.

Annual Ski Trip

This is our 9th annual trip. We usually pick a different rental each year based on our needs. This rental is one of our favorites. It was very clean and spacious. It was very well laid out. The only issues we had during the stay was the cookware which was so scratched up that we bought our own set at the local Walmart to use for cooking our meals… and the master bedroom king bed slept super hot. There is a topper that kept bunching up on us along with mattress protector which just made sleeping very uncomfortable and hot. Otherwise, a super nice choice for our stay this year.

Great place - would definitely stay again

The house was new and had plenty of room and bathrooms for our group. There are a few things we'd change: 1. More and nicer bath towels. There were not enough towels for the number of people that sleep there. Plus, if people are using the hot tub, more towels are necessary. 2. Not enough wine glasses. I think there were 3. 3. Trash Day: There is a discrepancy between the 3-ring binder information for when trash day is. The binder reads trash goes out on Thursdays under the Cabin Rules section. And then on the Before You Leave section of the binder: It's underlined that garbage comes on Tuesdays and Fridays. I believe there is also a note on the fridge that says garbage pick up is Tuesdays and Fridays. 4. Dusty: Not a deal breaker but there is a lot of dust in the drop zone/mud room on the top shelf. There is a pile of dust rags and then the shelf is super dusty. Just in case you wanted to know if your cleaning crew isn't hitting that spot.
