Condition of Rental House
The house had not been cleaned. In the master bedroom the screens on the door had been poorly duct taped and coming apart. There was a large gash in the drywall in the boys bunk room. The cleaness of the house was a major concern. Air returns had never been cleaned and were covered in dust and a thick paste. The fans were covered in dust. The floors had not been cleaned with a mop and were covered in dust,.what dust had been swept up had been pushed into a corner. The flat iron griddles were broken. the wrong size sheets were sent for four of the beds. There was an open bag of veggie straws on one of the beds. There were crumbs and gold fish under the couches in the living room. The screen to the door going out to the pool was coming apart. The cap on one of the posts was cracked and the handle to the outdoor foot spigot was broken off. This was fixed, but never worked. There were two dishwashers, one which would not latch. Most of these issues were corrected. I will say, we have been going to North Carolina beaches for 45 years. I have never paid as much for a house as I did this one and to find these many issues and the cleaness really upset me. I am not one to complain. If there had been a few issues I would not have been to upset, but this was to much. The house was a great house and we had a great time, but I was not the least bit happy about the condition of the house. We did take pictures and sent them to Better Beach Rentals.
