Welcome to our rustic & romantic cabin retreat, nestled among the aspens and atop the tundra in beautiful South Park. At 9500 ft. elevation, the valley offers expansive views with 12, 13 and 14,000 foot peaks in each direction. Our little house on the prairie, boasts 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths and comes stocked with everything you'll need for a getaway! We have 2 desks, WiFi, TV's, games, etc. The main heat is a wood fireplace but we also have space heaters in the rooms. 4WD required Oct-Apr.

This a beautiful cabin. The host was very nice and helpful. One of the best VRBO I have stayed. They keep it well stocked and ready for renters. You will also enjoy see wildlife walking around and great views of the mountains

Perfect ski retreat!

The South Park Cabin is a true gem! My husband and I came for an extended ski weekend in February and had the most relaxing time. Location wise, the Cabin was just a short drive to several of the larger ski mountains in the area, which was ideal. There are also hot springs nearby too (recommended to us by the hosts) that we checked out- heavenly! In terms of our needs, the Cabin had everything from cozy linens and plenty of toiletries, to a humidifier in the bedroom so it wouldn't feel as dry to us out of towners. My husband also had to work for a day while we were there and used one of the secluded working nooks that the hosts set up with the dual monitor (what a nice touch!). Aesthetically, the Cabin is decked out with rustic décor and a really cozy wood fireplace. The hosts were super responsive and were available to answer any questions that came up during our stay. I would absolutely recommend the South Park Cabin as a wonderful CO retreat!

Our dream of owning a mountain cabin in Colorado from our first visit there together in Fall of 2019, finally came to fruition—almost two years later in October 2021. After multiple road trips out to this beautiful part of the country from our home in Atlanta, GA and visiting up and down the Rockies, we finally made the leap by purchasing South Park Cabin. Nestled in the quiet & charming Michigan Hill neighborhood of Jefferson, we were completely enamored by the pastoral landscape, abundant wildlife, and serenity we found in bucolic South Park Valley.

Our first visit to Michigan Hill included a monthlong stay in August, when we stumbled across our cabin during an open house that was hosted down the street. An offer was made prior to our departure, and it was easily one of the best decisions we have ever made.

The mission and goal of our South Park Cabin rental is to provide a cozy stay, so guests may grow a similar sense of calm and wonder during their visit to Jefferson. The cabin offers most modern day amenities, including WIFI, so you have the option of staying connected…but oftentimes, the day is best spent with a cup of coffee in the morning watching the sun rise over the range or taking in the full expanse of the milky way on a cool summer night.

While guests at South Park Cabin can find themselves enjoying slow evenings nestled by the wood burning stove and warming up next to the fire, there are also a myriad of activities to partake in within a few minutes drive.
