Mid Century Modern Midtown Apartment Close to all!
The space: This 1910's fourplex apartment building has tons of historic charm but with modern amenities and updates. The shared balcony upstairs is perfect for morning coffee. The unit itself is on the ground floor, is sophisticated yet cozy, with contemporary furnishings, vintage posters, and original hardwood floors. A shotgun house is a long narrow unit with no central hallway - so the living room flows into the bedroom which flows into the dining room, without separation; perfect for couples and solo travelers. The bathroom and kitchen were just renovated! The apartment has stylish furnishings, a big screen TV, a comfortable memory foam mattress and laundry in unit. Pets are welcome!
Location: Super central Midtown location! Easy to drive anywhere in Memphis or Uber/Lyft. Private carport parking in the back of the building is provided, as well as easy and free street parking!
Other details to note: This is a lower unit in an old historic building - you may hear other guests walking around in the unit above you. We do have plenty of area rugs to dampen sound and ask them to be quiet and respectful, but if this would bother you or you are a very light sleeper, we would suggest booking an upstairs unit or one story property instead.

The place was good. Vrbo advertised it as a rate “including all fees” then the rate more than doubled. I would stay here again but not through VRBO

I'm glad you enjoyed my place Krista! I'm sorry Vrbo falsely advertised the rate to you. Unfortunately we owners have no control over how the guest is shown our pricing; we can only set our pricing and hope Vrbo is honest and upfront. For future reviews though, please note your star rating and review only affects your host, not Vrbo themselves. Happy to host you again on a different platform whenever you return!
The space was perfect for us during our time here. It was located not too far from all of our destinations, and was the right size for the two of us. We felt very much at home and would definitely stay here again if it’s available.
We came in for the weekend and everything was pretty nice!!! they have definitely took an older house and kept the integrity of that and made it so nice!!! good stay, quiet neighborhood!
Extremely clean, neat, and well appointed! I love historic homes and this apartment has the quaint touches of original woodwork and floors while providing renovations that make it feel like home. Shower water pressure was great.
Towels seemed brand new, very good quality. Loved the coffee station.
House and neighborhood were both peaceful and quiet. The upstairs neighbor was very friendly.
We enjoyed the stay and would recommend to others.
We did have some miscommunication with check-in, but not bad and Stephanie was quick to return messages and offer a new code. We were not familiar with the lock box, so were unaware another button needed to be used. The coffee pot lid was broken, but usable, and the washing machine had a small leak. Neither bothered us and Stephanie said she'd get both taken care of.
The space was cute. It’s located on a nice quiet street in a neighborhood that has so much character. We used Uber and Lyft to shuffle us around. The location of the property had them picking us up in less than nine minutes. The host responds very quickly.
We loved our stay in this clean and well-appointment apartment in an emerging neighborhood close to great restaurants, sights and other cultural destinations.
Stephanie (host) was very communicative and so pleasant to deal with. Overall a great stay! Highly recommend.
My wife and I spend 5 days here in January and it was perfect. This property was super clean and furnishings were nice. Loved the mid century modern vibe they went for. The property is located only a couple miles from everything we did during our stay here and the longest we had to drive was 10-15 minutes to get where we wanted to be. The building is over 100 years old and it snowed twice while we were there but the heaters they had had no trouble keeping the inside comfortable during the cold. There is covered parking in the back which was nice when it snowed. Parking is tight in the back but we had no trouble getting our small SUV in the reserved parking spot for the apartment. 10/10 would recommend this to any couple trying to get away for a few days!
