About this property
HUGE A-Frame in Goldendale // Now Sleeps 12!
NEWLY remodeled! Now room for 12! 4 bedrooms, 5 beds (2 kings, 3 queens, plus sofa pullout as needed). 4 full bathrooms!
Our towering A-frame with floor to ceiling windows invites you into the tranquility of slow, country living. Perched peacefully over a grove of Ponderosas with breathtaking views of the Columbia hills and a majestic Mount Hood, this retreat offers an escape from the bustle of urban life and will lull you into a much needed quietude. Enjoy the starry sky on our spacious deck, or a slow savoring of Pinot from a nearby vineyard.
3000+ square feet of an open floor plan provides the perfect setting for unwinding that is lately so needed. Three floors of natural light, airy, open spaces, and a neutral, minimalist aesthetic intended to help our guests unwind. The house boasts plenty of room to spread out with two spacious decks, four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, cozy family media room, full kitchen, plus kitchenette.
Now able to host up to 12 guests, it’s ideal for family gatherings, retreats, or group getaways.
Inside, vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows fill the home with natural light, while minimalist, nature-inspired décor creates a serene atmosphere. A custom dining table made from reclaimed wood by the owners seats 10, making it the perfect centerpiece for shared meals and conversation. Create meals together in the fully stocked, spacious kitchen, or watch the sunset from the home’s enormous living room sectional. Working virtually? Starlink internet and an office with a large monitor mean you can stay connected or work remotely with ease. Step outside to enjoy the large wrap-around deck, where you can spot deer, wild turkeys, and the occasional fox, along with the neighbor’s friendly llamas. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee or winding down with a glass of wine, the setting offers unmatched peace and a front-row view of Oregon’s natural beauty.
The home features multiple gathering areas, including a second living space downstairs for movie nights, a ping pong table in the garage, and a newly added kitchenette with a reclaimed wood bar for casual entertaining.
Surrounded by year-round recreation opportunities, this retreat offers quiet country living just a short drive from adventure. Here, you can truly unplug, connect with nature, and enjoy time together in a space built for memorable moments.
You'll have full access to all three floors of the house, including both decks furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture and a cozy gas-fireplace. A barbecue is also available for outdoor cooking on warm evenings. The house also offers a front yard and five peaceful acres of quiet pine forest tranquility, with developed nature trail for full access to land.
This house is located on the ancestral land of the Kah-miltpa Band of the Yakama Nation. For more information about the tribal history of the area you can visit the Yakama Nation’s website. The Kah-miltpa Band continue to live in the area and practice their traditional cultural ways in the Simcoe Mountains and the Klickitat Valley as their ancestors have for thousands of years. During the month of April, the Kah-miltpa Band has an annual salmon feast and pow-wow and invites visitors to come and share a meal and perhaps dance each year.

About the host
Hosted by Jacob Bailey
Two couples come together in 2021 to purchase and overhaul this beautiful home. We're from Oregon, but we enjoy every moment of the year up at the house. It's sooooooo quiet. The sun shines brighter up there and the stars are brilliant at night. It's a perfect retreat from the demands of everyday life. Everyone deservers a stay!
What makes this property unique
No only do you get access to a huge house with three beautiful remodeled floors and two decks, but you get access to 5 acres of pine forest. Bring your hammock and a book. You won't regret it!
