Ryan - Thank you for the great review. Hope you decide to come back! thanks again for choosing to stay with us!
Very nice home. Clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and shopping. A construction project was taking place across the street which was noisy on the first day. Other than that, very nice home.
The house was perfect for us and the family room was a great place to relax after a full day. Very clean and comfortable. Denise, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive.
This is our second summer renting here! The owners are impressively responsive and very hospitable. The property is spotless, very clean and updated, and accommodating. A perfect location that is very close to all Osterville areas/sites. We highly recommend this home! 5 out of 5 stars!

The trip was delightful and our VRBO met our needs and expectations. We were comfortable and slept in peace, the sheets were very high thread count, spa like really. The appliances were brand new, the tech was up to date and met our needs. The rinse off after a beech day was awesome. The location was perfects for family gatherings at other VRBO’s and the village watering holes.

We had a wonderful time at the Cape staying at this home. It was located in a great neighborhood (my husband and I would go for walk in a couple of times). Enough room for our family with two living areas. Everything you needed for the beach was there. Good jumping off point to visit other towns on the Cape. Denis was very responsive with any questions we had.

Thank you so much for such an amazing review.
Amy and her party were wonderful guests. They were easy to communicate with and respectful of the property. They followed the house rules and left the property in great condition. We couldn’t have asked for a better guest for our first party through VRBO.
Thanks for staying with us and we hope you consider staying with us again!
Denise
The house is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood on mid-cape making it easy to get to many attractions. The house is very clean and organized, and seems recently renovated. The house has plenty of amenities, especially the outdoor furniture, the new grill and outdoor shower make it a very relaxed stay to enjoy the summer. It's also very nice that the host provides a beach pass for several local beaches, and our favorite is Dowses beach, which is a resident-only beach and was not crowded. The host, Denise, is very responsive and organized, providing lots of info about the house and the area; easy self check-in and check-out. Overall, we were glad that we chose this house for our vacation on the cape.

Thank you so much for the review. We appreciate the great and open communication as well as the adherence to house rules and the fact you and your larger party took great care of the property. We’d love to have you back again!
Denise
The house was exactly as advertised: extra clean, perfectly decorated and well stocked. Linens and towels were provided which is a major plus having had to pack my own in the past. Landlord was easy to reach and attentive. Had an issue with an appliance and a repair tech was out the next day. We had terrible weather this year and it was not a hardship to hang out in the house. It was convenient to beaches as advertised as well as close to Hyannis where we like the downtown. Will be adding grandchildren to next years' trip, so it may be a bit snug for us with 6 adults and new babies, otherwise, I would gladly stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Denise Wicklund
Hi! My husband George and I bought this house to enjoy with our own growing family. I grew up off Cape but always found my way to the ocean to recharge, energize, and play. I am excited to share that with you.
We want you to love your experience as much as we love staying in the house. If there is anything we can do to help make your stay more enjoyable, please reach out.
Cheers
Why they chose this property
One of the biggest advantages of this home is how easy it is to reach from the bridges. We love Cape Cod, but traffic to the Upper and Outer Cape can be unpredictable. Osterville offers the ideal solution—a quick, straightforward drive over the Bourne or Sagamore bridges, without sacrificing the charm and relaxed pace people come to the Cape for. It’s quieter and less crowded than the larger resort towns, with warmer bay beaches and a welcoming village atmosphere.
Osterville also makes a great home base for exploring—whether you’re heading to nearby Falmouth, Hyannis, or farther down the Cape—without committing to long drives every day. The dining scene is excellent, ranging from classic seafood and casual favorites to sushi and fine dining.
The home is set back from the street and surrounded by native trees and rhododendrons, creating a private, peaceful setting. The mostly single-level layout is ideal for families and multigenerational groups, and the bedroom wing is separate from the living areas, allowing for quiet mornings or late nights without disruption.
Early risers can enjoy a peaceful sunrise walk toward the beach, then stop by Fancy’s Market for coffee on the way back—an easy, stress-free way to start the day.
What makes this property unique
Close proximity to nearby beaches Private backyard and peaceful setting Mostly single-level layout (excluding unfinished basement and laundry) Beach parking pass included, providing access to 15+ Barnstable-area beaches and ponds Fully equipped kitchen, ideal for cooking and entertaining Easy access from the bridges and a convenient midpoint for exploring Upper and Outer Cape towns
