The property exceeded our expectations! Absolutely beautiful. The owners provided special care and personal touches that made it very special. One of the nicest experiences we have had when using VRBO.

Mary,
That is such a kind review! We so enjoyed hosting you and would love to have you again.
We had an amazing visit and hope to return again! The only surprise we had was learning that the one bath in the darling house was downstairs off the kitchen with all the bedrooms upstairs. But the beautiful design and perfectly appointed rooms made it worth it!

Nice house, great location. Beautiful grounds, patio. Not a great bathroom situation, no microwave, agent impossible to communicate with.

Robert,
Thank you for your review. To respond to the issues raised:
A bit of a bathroom "convenience" was traded to maintain the home's original vintage charm. Adding a microwave is a great idea! And we apologize for what appears to be a 1 to 2 day delay in responding to inquiries prior to your stay. This was a new rental and we needed to confer with the owner to address your questions. I do believe we were very responsive once your stay commenced.
We'd love to have you stay with us again if your travels ever bring you back to Osterville!
The property owners were responsive and generous - the location was perfect, the facilities lacked for nothing, the beds SOOOOOO comfortable you didn't want to arise except for the lure of beautiful Dowse's beach and clam chowder at Wimpys. Also visited three bookstores where treasures were found. A magnificant property and unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for this peaceful yet exhilarating respite.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home is beautifully decorated (I’m an interior designer), pristine and thoughtfully equipped. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the living room has just enough seating, and the kitchen has everything you need.
The location is perfect, walking distance to down town Osterville (Wimpy’s and Crisp), but far enough away to be quiet.
Our host was responsive and friendly, as well. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a perfect long fall weekend!!
This was our second stay at the house. We were amazed to find it all as pristine as last year. The house is well equipped and beautifully renovated. The highlights are the outdoor shower and the local beach pass. Mostly we used lovely Joshua Pond just behind the house: the teenagers spent all day playing in the pond. Beds were luxurious and the area is peaceful and full of birds and bunnies.
The house is pretty and well appointed, situated in manicured gardens with a hammock and ample outdoor living areas. The highlight of the house is the outdoor shower. Few experiences beat showering under the stars. Just round the corner - walking distance - are Joshua and Micah Ponds: unspoiled freshwater lakes for swimming, fishing and walking. The beaches nearby are beautiful and the beach pass really came in handy. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Alex,
The detail and thought you put into this review is greatly appreciated! Thank you very much, please come back again.
The cottage in Osterville is so charming. Beds are super comfortable and home is well appointed. We had everything we needed. It is decorated beautifully- the antique pieces balanced with modern decor. The back patio and yard are wonderful with pristine landscaping and colorful window boxes.Location is perfect and we loved how convenient it was to the town. The only drawback for us was the indoor shower which proved to be far too short for adults and was dangerously slippery. The outside shower is great however so we were able to use that instead. For cold weather stays this could be a chilly option!
Overall the house is great and we would recommend to anyone wanting a charming and conveniently located rental.
